Oh wow! This diner had a very fair priced menu, refilled coffee in seconds and great cooks! I popped in here for a quick breakfast and was really happy I stopped in here. The staff was so accommodating for my little one and the food was amazing. The BEAT hash browns I've had in Ohio yet! It will be really hard to beat this place. They had picture up of what I would assume to be locals or family of the owner(a) and made you feel right at home. The staff was so friendly and always running around with a coffee pot! We went in for a pre-departure breakfast . The greeting and service were excellent; over easy eggs and sausage very good. However...the hash browns were terrible. A few crusty spots on the outside, but all else was raw! Inedible! If this is the standard serving, then Toledoans are too tolerant, the potatoes should have been unservable. Excellent food, excellent prices, excellent service. We wanted a light lunch. When I saw egg salad on the menu, I was intrigued. I hadn't had an egg salad sandwich in years. As the waitress told me it was quite popular and a fresh batch had just been made, I was in. It was quite good. It could use use some onion and celery, but nevertheless good. I also ordered mushroom bisque which was simply fantastic. Hubby had a grilled cheese sandwich with ham and fries. The ham was generous and there was a slice of cheese on each side of the ham in the middle. If you stop by, don't skip the lemon cream pie. It was clearly homemade, very light, and deliciously lemony. The service was fast and friendly. She even cut our piece of pie in half so we each had a plate - nice touch. read more

Waitress started us out by throwing straws on the table as she passed by then cam back took our drink order swept the floor didn't wash her hands then got our drinks. Waitress had a cold constantly rubbing up her nose with her hand and no hand washing we decided to keep watching She picked up the ice bucket to fill the ice machine handled the bottom of the bucket and didn't wash her hands once again then delivered our food. Food was terrible from the bacon to the coffee to the raw buckwheat pancake and frozen hash browns and cook came out to see what the problem was The whole experience couldn't believe it. I asked for mine scrambled instead of a traditional omelete. My husband had the Veggie Omelet with fresh tomatoes on top. We both had hashbrowns & wheat toast. Nothing to write home about. Burgers CANNOT be made to order therefor you know they are made with soy and not 100% beef....like a REAL diner serves. They ran out of straws. Too bad they didn't run out to Kroger or Walmart and buy some. They put 'pickles' on the burger. However they were cucumbers that seemed to be soaked in vinegar. Someone must have tried their hand as 'home pickling'...failed that. Overall unimpressed. Can get this basic food (and service) anywhere. Just won't be getting it there again. read more

Nothing fancy - just a small town diner with cheap prices and average food. Large portions and friendly service. I typically come here when I'm in town visiting my Mom and grab breakfast with old friends. They do a standard omelet well - nothing extravagant but what you'd expect for $6. I like everything I've had here - omelets, breakfast wraps, and pancakes. They always keep your coffee cup full and I've never had to ask for a refill. Quaint little spot where people come to read the paper and get together. Plenty of parking and Mayberry Square has its own little charm. read more

We were in town for the State Cup soccer tournament and the kids wanted some breakfast. I looked online just to find this little diner! Amazing! We had a party of 14 people and the place was full. They seated us quickly and didn't take long for our food. Not one person had a bad meal. Everything was just perfect. Large portions and decent prices. Prices were almost half of what I'm used to for East Coast diner food and the food was completely comparable. Mayberry Diner is only open for breakfast and lunch, and they do both very well. The menu offers a good selection that is accompanied by many daily specials. Try the Greek ommlet, yum. For the lunch fare they to offer a complete menu as well as daily soup/salad/sandwich combo specials. The stuffed green pepper soup is out of this world. If you are in the Sylvania area, you must take a morning or afternoon for a breakfast or lunch here at Mayberry. The food options are vast. You can have all sorts of breakfast combos, sandwiches, burgers, etc. The food is extremely affordable. It is not outstandingly wonderful tasting food, but you can expect it to be at your table in under 10 minutes. I typically go with the French toast with sausage links for breakfast or the spicy fried chicken melt with fries for lunch. Mmm mm mmm I love it! It is a nice little diner. It truly is like Mayberry from the Andy Griffith show. It has such a home town feel. You can sit at the bar if there are no tables available. I love this place! This is my favorite place to go out for breakfast when I come to Sylvania to visit my daughter! The diner atmosphere actually reminds you of Mayberry. This is a place where people are friendly with good ol' "down home" cooking and old-fashioned service (you'd swear Aunt Bea is in the kitchen). Food gets to your table quickly served hot food. My wife and I stopped in on Sunday 3/8/20 for breakfast as we were traveling through the area. We had the creamed chipped beef and hashbrowns. We are creamed chipped beef junkies. We google and look for it wherever we go. Sadly it is hard to find sometimes. No sadness on Sunday. OMG, this was as good as any chipped beef we have ever had. Hot, plenty of chipped beef and gravy over three slices of texas toast, wow! Hashbrowns were perfect also. All the other food looked great, too. It was a little off of 475, but well worth the effort to go. I know we will be back every time we pass through the area. read more

Dirty table, waited forever for service, got drinks including coffee, but no silverware. By the time I got a spoon to stir my creamer in, it was tepid at best. From the time we sat down it took almost 20 mins to have our order taken. They were busy, so I tried to be understanding, but a table who came in shortly after us got their food right after our order was taken. Server was hurried and dismissive everytime she was at our table. The food was fine, nothing extraordinary. I might give them another try, but the menu was at best basic. Less than a 10 minute wait for a table, but what you would expect from this kind of diner: the table was still dirty with crumbs on the seat and mixed up jellys.
