    Mushroom bisque.
    Tamara Y.

Excellent food, excellent prices, excellent service. We wanted a light lunch. When I saw egg salad on the menu, I was intrigued. I hadn't had an egg salad sandwich in years. As the waitress told me it was quite popular and a fresh batch had just been made, I was in. It was quite good. It could use use some onion and celery, but nevertheless good. I also ordered mushroom bisque which was simply fantastic. Hubby had a grilled cheese sandwich with ham and fries. The ham was generous and there was a slice of cheese on each side of the ham in the middle. If you stop by, don't skip the lemon cream pie. It was clearly homemade, very light, and deliciously lemony. The service was fast and friendly. She even cut our piece of pie in half so we each had a plate - nice touch.

Mayberry Mega Omelet (pick six items) - scrambled instead of a folded omelet.

First time trying this diner. Delicious! I had the Mayberry Mega Omelet (pick any six items), I picked bacon, ham, mushrooms, spinach, cheese & fresh tomatoes on top. I asked for mine scrambled instead of a traditional omelete. My husband had the Veggie Omelet with fresh tomatoes on top. We both had hashbrowns & wheat toast. To end the meal, we got a Lemon Bundt Cake - oh my soooo good & only $0.99!

Fast-paced diner to say the least! People who stop in a this location are usually return patrons and know the drill about getting in and getting out so the servers can turn tables to keep the flow of people coming in. The omelettes are made with 4 eggs - yes, you read that correctly, 4 eggs. Usually served with has browns and biscuits or toast. My omelette was done to perfection. I have been at other establishments that seem to overcook the omelette, especially with egg whites only. The ambiance at this location is nothing to write home about, but as I mentioned earlier in the post, people usually do not linger so the servers are able to turn tables more frequently. It's a win-win. One of my faves whenever we want to go out for breakfast. We will definitely be returning.

Since we had our little one we went in the upper seating area so she could oversee everything. We ordered blueberry pancakes and chicken and waffles. The pancakes were amazing and the waffles and chicken were cooked perfectly. It came with homemade cream and WOW was that flavorful! I don't thinner I've ever had chick and waffles with homemade whipped cream and hot sauce but WOW I'll be trying that next time if they offer it!

There were two people who came before us, and then a group of 14, and then my husband and me, followed by another bunch of people into a restaurant that was already packed. The waitresses did not even bat an eyelid. They were very polite and were busy doing their work. They were helping seat people as well as checking out people who had just eaten. We only waited about 15 - 20 mins. In the meantime, we chatted with the locals, who told us how often they came here just to eat the pies. When we got seated, the first thing we ordered and got started on were the AMAZING pies (chocolate PB for me and custard for my husband). Oh my God, they were out of the world yummy! We got to watch the ladies on the grill as they made the food. My husband ordered he Swiss steak and I had the double hamburger with all the fixings. The food is great but so are the people who work here --they are just so friendly, have worked here for years and truly care. You don't see this anymore. If I lived here, I would come here once a week to chitchat with them and eat PIE!! Make sure you come here. This place is a gem and has been here since 1948.

This truly a wonderful experience for all ages and varying tastes. A tremendous and welcome change we've come to endure from other dining experiences. Here the customer is THE primary focus from the moment you walk in til you walk out the door - BRAVO!! The food, had the Mayberry Mega where you pick your 6 omelette ingredients. Normally a crap shoot in most diners but here it was a home run. The ham and sausage were nice size chunks, juicy, and full of flavor. Spinach, onions, and tomatoes were fresh and perfect sizes and good quantities for the dish. That leaves the cheese my one "ding" would have preferred shredded cheese vs sliced cheese because of flavor and texture - but it didn't take away from a wonderfully prepared omelette made and severed with genuine care. Potatoes were frozen BUT they were prepared exceptionally well for dinner dare they were soft and cooked with a nice crisp. It was a superb surprise and a very welcome one. The coffee was fresh and hot and the standard "acidic" coffees you'd find in most diners anywhere, but overall inviting enough to have a few cups for a discerning coffee "snob" like me. Place was PACKED so all tables and booth were full, but they have a nice counter service with plenty of seating and space to move and eat and be very comfortable for your meal. What's fascinating is the incredible teamwork and collective desire to ensure your time, experience, and meal are spent enjoying your company and food not staring at your watch wondering about time. The entire restaurant was seated, served, and cleared with clean tables within the time I had to get and consume my own breakfast. So if you see a packed house on your arrival and don't desire that counter seat fear not - in this home environment your wait will be short and your day will lose no valuable time - well worth some minimal patience - you'll be glad you did. Your greeted as soon as you walk in by one or more of the extremely hardworking waitresses with a smile - your also sent off with a "Thank you. have a Good Day" by one more waitresses as you leave - both excellent touch of service class enhancing customer experience. I've never seen a more well-run diner or any restaurant from the waitresses to the cooks to the dishwashers the teamwork, attention to details, customer satisfaction, and to the incredible cleanliness of the restaurant despite the constant flow of customers - I've never seen a restaurant so clean and kept so clean the out the day. So what are you waiting for come to Mayberry where a warm greeting, clean home, exceptional food are calling YOUR name today...I'm returning perhaps I'll see you there....Bon Appetite!!

The egg white veggie wrap was nicely portioned without being over the top; a little mustard and hot sauce was required to complete the profile, but that's fine. The veggie omelette was good, with a big portion of hash browns and a decent quantity of veggies in the omelette. Hot sauce and mustard were also our friend here, but that works for me. The staff were very friendly and attentive, even beyond what we would have expected. All told, this was an excellent experience if you're looking for a fast paced diner breakfast.
