Great diner for a good breakfast. This one was on our list of diners to try out and the food was pretty good. They didn't have any Hash-browns and the food wasn't very hot when it came out, but the food was fairly tasty.

Sometimes i deliberate between a 3 or 4 star review. Really wish yelp would have a .5 option. My recent visit to the Executive Diner would probably rate a 3 5, but it will get a 4* today. Eggs and steak were average. Skipped the toast. The restaurant was average. Nothing special of note. But the service was fast, the coffee came immediately and the server was exceptional. Hence, we'll go with 4* . I won't remember the steak and eggs. They were ok. I will remember the service and top-notch coffee effort.

After 4 visits I'm done. This and its sister restaurant have been a staple in Toledo for a crazy amount of years. No idea why. Twice now I have walked into dirty restaurant with meat and toast under the tables and yep they sat us right there. Closes at 3 on Sundays but don't allow anyone in after 230. All you hear is staff hollering how they are not letting in anyone else in. No one asks if things are OK. Every time they are out of. . biscuits this last time. One of their signature dishes is the hangover which is made of guess what ? Biscuits. No longer have mimosas for brunch. The juices are all that nasty concentrate. No real juice The sausage tastes funny and bacon is overcooked. Tastes like sawdust. The one star is for home fries. They are decent. In these Covid times unclean places are not acceptable. Never again. Don't come here

Nice little diner 5 mins from the local mall. Super busy on Sunday. The food was pretty good and the service was as well. Normal / affordable prices.

I've been going to Executive Diner every now & then over the past 3-4 years. Every single time the food is amazing, the service is wonderful & friendly, and there's nothing but happy customers around you. 5 Stars to Executive Diner. With a menu (and drink menu) full of options & quality service, I don't see how you couldn't make it one of your favorite breakfast places in Toledo!

We used to go to the Executive diner in Sylvania. Now we drive across town. The fried potatoes are fantastic. I have never had anything bad on the menu. I ordered the VIP breakfast and the marble rye bread is tasty. The service is always fabulous. There may be a wait but it is worth it.

Denver omelet. Notice the ingredients IN THE Eggs. The way an omelet is supposed to be. None of that stuffed and folded B. S.

The food is always great with excellent portions and usually comes out remarkably quick. Waitstaff is friendly. The thing that pushes them past others to get that fifth star... They sell booze. So when you're there to soak up last nights good time and feel like you NEED a bloody mary you're aces! I almost forgot, they put the omelet ingredients in the eggs. The way an omelet is supposed to be! No fold over eggs!

1/2 Divorced Egg plate. Shared with my husband.

Amazing staff and great breakfast. My husband and I shared the divorced eggs and a bowl of fresh fruit. The eggs were so delicious and both the verde and red salsas were equally wonderful. Not spicy at all, but bursting with flavor. The fresh fruit bowl was 100% fresh fruit. Nothing frozen and all of it perfectly ripe and sweet.

This truly a wonderful experience for all ages and varying tastes. A tremendous and welcome change we've come to endure from other dining experiences. Here the customer is THE primary focus from the moment you walk in til you walk out the door - BRAVO!! The food, had the Mayberry Mega where you pick your 6 omelette ingredients. Normally a crap shoot in most diners but here it was a home run. The ham and sausage were nice size chunks, juicy, and full of flavor. Spinach, onions, and tomatoes were fresh and perfect sizes and good quantities for the dish. That leaves the cheese my one "ding" would have preferred shredded cheese vs sliced cheese because of flavor and texture - but it didn't take away from a wonderfully prepared omelette made and severed with genuine care. Potatoes were frozen BUT they were prepared exceptionally well for dinner dare they were soft and cooked with a nice crisp. It was a superb surprise and a very welcome one. The coffee was fresh and hot and the standard "acidic" coffees you'd find in most diners anywhere, but overall inviting enough to have a few cups for a discerning coffee "snob" like me. Place was PACKED so all tables and booth were full, but they have a nice counter service with plenty of seating and space to move and eat and be very comfortable for your meal. What's fascinating is the incredible teamwork and collective desire to ensure your time, experience, and meal are spent enjoying your company and food not staring at your watch wondering about time. The entire restaurant was seated, served, and cleared with clean tables within the time I had to get and consume my own breakfast. So if you see a packed house on your arrival and don't desire that counter seat fear not - in this home environment your wait will be short and your day will lose no valuable time - well worth some minimal patience - you'll be glad you did. Your greeted as soon as you walk in by one or more of the extremely hardworking waitresses with a smile - your also sent off with a "Thank you. have a Good Day" by one more waitresses as you leave - both excellent touch of service class enhancing customer experience. I've never seen a more well-run diner or any restaurant from the waitresses to the cooks to the dishwashers the teamwork, attention to details, customer satisfaction, and to the incredible cleanliness of the restaurant despite the constant flow of customers - I've never seen a restaurant so clean and kept so clean the out the day. So what are you waiting for come to Mayberry where a warm greeting, clean home, exceptional food are calling YOUR name today...I'm returning perhaps I'll see you there....Bon Appetite!!

The egg white veggie wrap was nicely portioned without being over the top; a little mustard and hot sauce was required to complete the profile, but that's fine. The veggie omelette was good, with a big portion of hash browns and a decent quantity of veggies in the omelette. Hot sauce and mustard were also our friend here, but that works for me. The staff were very friendly and attentive, even beyond what we would have expected. All told, this was an excellent experience if you're looking for a fast paced diner breakfast.

Funny, I didn't see one hill in all of northwest Ohio, much less in the place called, "Ottawa Hills." Why you gota lie?
