Hi, I am the friend with the peach oolong tea. The service was nice but the drink was quite an acquired taste. I started questioning if it was just a mishap or maybe I didn't give it the proper tornado shake it deserved. I taste some type of sweetener but the river definitely ran a lot of water into this cup. Watered down and left me searching for some sugar lol. You can also tell the quality was lacking compared to other boba places we've been to in the past. Maybe they should cut down their list and focus on 10 good drinks is my advice. Came here after a long day of shopping at the mall after seeing all the good reviews. We came on a late Saturday afternoon and the place was empty. I ordered an avocado matcha smoothie @75% sweetness and my friend ordered a peach oolong tea. I watched the person cut up the avocado for the smoothie. She licked her fingers afterwards since she got avocado on hands and then proceeded to make my smoothie... it was icy and all I tasted was milk and ice to be honest. It was pretty bad. Only a slight hint of avocado. My friends peach tea was bright red. Never seen a peach tea like that before. She was not impressed. I can see why the reviews are so great! Not only was the drinks yummy, the service was top notch! I believe the owner was this man standing outside with a giant boba. He was super adorable and welcoming. The staff that took my order was really nice too. Drinks: matcha strawberry was really good, they had real puréed strawberries in the drink and the matcha was nice, dark, and rich. Was craving fruit tea after the 626 market and found this spot on the map! I tried the house fruit tea with lychee jelly and no sugar and my boyfriend got a mango latte with boba and 50% sweetness. Both were honestly so good!! The mango latte was creamy and sweet and my house fruit was such a nice blend of fruit - it had pieces of strawberries, passion fruit seeds, and slices of lemon and lime. Cute little boba shop with great drinks and eager service. Found this place because I was looking for a place that would have non-caffeinated drinks that my kiddo would like (sadly, slushies are not on the list). Free parking in the back. On our way down the sidewalk, there was a man holding a stuffed boba who was advertising for the shop who insisted that my daughter hold the stuffie - I get the sense they're doing their best to drum up more customers. Their menu is fairly extensive - the only thing they were missing that I would have wished for is sago. It sounds like their fruit purees are made with real fruit. I got a peach oolong tea with cheese cap and no additional sugar, and it was perfect for my taste - they were worried it wouldn't be sweet enough and offered to add syrup if I didn't think it was sweet enough after I tasted it. My husband was also happy with his drink, and my daughter loved her butterfly in love lemonade. I tasted her drink and it was refreshing and not too sweet at 25% sugar. Small boba store that is easy to miss on Baldwin Ave. There are tables inside for seating. Plushies and toys decorate the wall, creating a nice ambiance. Staff was alright but they had trouble hearing us through the plastic divider. There were free cute stickers by the cashier, and they offer stamp cards. We tried three different drinks: 1. Matcha Strawberry ($6.95): strawberry puree on the bottom with oat milk substitute and matcha. The strawberry taste was too strong so that's all I could taste. 2. Matcha Mango ($6.95): similar to the Mango Strawberry but instead with mango puree. It tasted too much like mango, overpowering the matcha. 3. Ocean Breeze ($6.75): substituted the heavy cream with oat milk so not sure if that made the drink like this but it was only half filled. For $7, that is such a scam. The other half was just blue colored foam that came the oat milk? You can see in my picture that the ice only floats in the middle of the cup which shows that's where the liquid is. I checked other pictures on here and the ice is also halfway. And it just tasted like matcha latte, not sure where the butterfly pea tea is cause we couldn't taste it. Their drinks look aesthetic but don't taste that good. Maybe the Matcha Strawberry and Mango were a preference issue but the Ocean Breeze was really such a scam. After going to the Dr with my dad I asked him if he wanted Boba. Since we were headed home via Huntington Dr a slight detour on Baldwin was an easy yes, especially since there's a lot behind the shop. The lot is approachable during the week and day, but I can't say the same is true on the weekends. Too small to accommodate all the businesses. Place was clean and the mom's running the space had a good selection of drinks with alternative milks available and built into their drinks. For instance I got the black sesame and it was made with coconut milk which was awesome and a complementary flavor even at 25%. Both Grandpa and V had the Orange Mango Green Tea with Lychee at 25% which they liked however V complained there was an after powder mouth feel which he was not a fan of. No idea what it was even after being forced to try it. His girlfriend L got the Matcha Mango with oatmilk and she liked it. It was finished. Did we overall like it? Yes. First time here and staff was helpful with my order - just a simple strawberry matcha latte with cheese cap. My drink was regular sweet which some may want it sweeter. It tastes like the purée was the only sweetener which I'm fine with. I would have preferred the strawberries with some chunky pieces. I visited Sun Tea Day as an afternoon chill area, and it did not disappoint. The music is relaxing or soothing, and I'd rank it like a MMORPG background music - present but not disturbing. The general environment is cute and features plushies and a clean, modern look. I ordered an Awakening Coffee at 50% sweet, and I have to admit it was a rude awakening. Even at 50% sweet, it felt overpowered and oversweetened by simple syrup; in fact, I was so aware I couldn't even taste the coffee part. The real kicker was the amount of air that it also came with - a little too generous on that end. Thankfully, I was allowed to substitute it for a 25% ish house special milk tea. I think I overdid it but wow, this tastes like everything a boba milk tea should taste like, but without the boba - a healthier alternative. The flavor profile was almost perfect, but the texture profile is a little on the watery side - nonetheless not noticeable enough to disappoint. 5 stars. After eating in the Santa Anita mall, my group of friends and I walked down to this cute boba shop. It was about a 5 minute walk so it was really close. It seemed like it would be difficult to get parking for this place but I think there was a small parking lot in the back. Right when we entered this place, we were greeted by I'm assuming the store owner. He was super nice and asked if it was our first time here. Since we were all new, he started explaining the specialities and how their drinks are made of high quality ingredients and high quality fruits. He was quite friendly and gave his recommendations. He made every drink sound good but I ended up choosing the strawberry matcha latte. It was extremely delicious and the price was pretty solid considering the quality of the drink. The interior aesthetic was very nice as well. Lots of cute boba plushies everywhere. There were a few tables, but the shop itself is overall a bit small. It's definitely a place you could hangout and chat with your friends for a bit. I'd come back to try more of their different drinks, which all sound so good. Even though it was December, they still had summer dinks available. Although they have the classics, they also have things I haven't tried before. I got the Ribena smoothie at 50% sweetness with agar. The smoothie consists of blackcurrant juice, lemon juice, and mint all blended with ice. The staff must've seen us coming because he opened the door to let us in and greet us. The staff is very attentive. He brought a hot drink to our table. He came by to take our trash for the straw we used and asked if we liked our drinks. They have pictures of a lot of their drinks posted by the cashier. We feel their fruit drinks are the best here. They make it with fresh fruit and they puree it. You can definitely tell that they're well-experienced because the boba was warm, lightly sweetened, and perfectly bouncy. We tried the house-special fruit tea (less ice, 75% sweetness) & peach oolong tea (less ice, 25% sweetness) and were pleasantly surprised by the taste. The house special fruit tea was slightly bitter but also had a natural sweetness from the passion fruit jam and freshly-squeezed orange juice, which was super refreshing. The peach oolong tea was surprisingly floral from their house-made peach puree and had a strong peach flavor -- you can clearly tell that they didn't use artificial syrups. I came again and tried their house-special milk tea (which was good), but I think the fruit teas are where this boba shop shines. All in all, Sun Tea Day has easily become one of my favorite boba shops, especially in the Arcadia area. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the owner, who explained what made their store stand out from other spots and encouraged us to look at the drink photos.
