The food is still pretty good, but these days you can find comparable meals for less money at plenty of other places nearby. It just doesn't feel like the same value it used to be. Recently we called to place an order and were told they no longer deliver directly. If you want delivery now, you have to go through a third-party delivery app, which means paying additional service and delivery fees. That was pretty disappointing and honestly feels like an unnecessary extra cost. With so many good options in the area, it's hard to justify ordering from here anymore. My go-to is general tso chicken and I ask for it to be extra spicy each time, and they do well with that. I usually just play safe and this menu item doesn't disappoint. The food has always been pretty good but the. Grumpiness of the staff has gotten worse over the 12 years we've gone there. If I'm spending all that money, a little courtesy now and again wouldn't hurt. Also there have been so many times they've left something out of the order , like the rice , or giving my wife her meal only to find out there's meat in it. She's a vegetarian. We have ordered from here for many years. The past 6 months our order was always missing items. When call they blame the on-line ordering. Will credit or send a driver " when available. Tonight I called it in- waited on hold then placed order. The order arrived with 2 items completely wrong and missing an item. When I called the man admitted it was their mistake but in order to get it corrected the wrong items had to be returned and zero money was refunded. Love Love Love this place! They have my favorite bone in ribs and second favorite boneless ribs. Their sauces are phenomenal from the dipping sauce for the dumplings to the Mongolian beef sauce. Just great! Their House LoMein is definitely a must have. Our orders are always correct even with our little tweaks. I loved them before the pandemic, but I definitely realized how much I missed them when they were closed. Only things keeping them from 5 stars are their egg foo young gravy (not a lot of favor and very thick and starchy) and the fact that they up charge for anything other than pork fried rice on combos where most will do chicken as an even sub. Their Google and Yelp reviews were all over the place so I decided to just judge for myself. I love they're open most nights until 10:30. The food was good even at 10pm which is when I got home to eat it. I judge most Chinese food restaurants by their hot & sour soup because it's my favorite soup. If they can't make it good then throw the whole restaurant away. Sun Sun Garden has good H&S soup so I'll keep them. I also got the S&S chicken which was good. One thing that stood out is that even late at night, the food was fresh. If you've ever had stale CF, you'd know it. I didn't have any CS issue, my order was take out. This will be one of my new go-to CF spots. They're NOT the closest to me but I'll drive the extra 5-7 minutes for fresh, good food. AND their fortune cookies are good. The quality of food and service has significantly declined in recent months. The last time I ordered, my egg foo young was burnt and today, my fried rice was stale. I went into the restaurant to pick up an order a few weeks ago and observed the staff arguing and not being attentive to the customer. We've always liked the food at Sun Sun, but recently the service has become very slow and spotty. A couple weeks ago when we ordered, we were missing two of the appetizers we ordered, but seeing as how it was a large order and we hadn't had problems before, we just let it go. Tonight we ordered food again and got an email confirmation. An hour and a half later, our food was delivered so we called and they said the delivery driver had just left with our food. Another hour went by and still no food. When we called again they blamed the email system for not printing the order ticket.
