If I could, I'd leave a NEGATIVE star. As it is, I'll just say they NEVER returned my calls. I started at 9am and stopped at 4pm because I called over 10 TIMES to get them to HELP me. They never did. I started with some woman named Crystal who made promises and then never called back, when I finally reached her again (4th call) she complained she hadn't been able to sit down to return the calls (I'd left two messages between first and fourth call to her). I left messages for Robert, the service manager, and Linda, the dearlership manager (two each) and not one person from this dealership returned them. They obviously don't want to service my vehicle on a warranty item because there is no money in it for them. However, this type of customer service does cost them (I hope). Great service all the way through and no pressure sales. Rep Joshua and Manager Willie was up front from the beginning and gave me several options to try and get me where I wanted to be. Because of their mistakes, I had to come back multiple times to fix issues that should have been handled correctly the first time. DONT GO HERE ! don't let fake 5 star Bots trick you... During a previous visit, I scheduled an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. While waiting, I observed that only the oil change was performed; the tire rotation was not completed. My vehicle was then left unattended for an additional hour. Upon receiving the invoice, I noticed charges for both services. It was only after I pointed out the oversight that the charge for the unperformed tire rotation was removed. Oh, my vehicle was also scratched on the hood during this oil change . On another occasion, I scheduled a 2:00 PM appointment with Maurice to have my brakes serviced. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a female representative who was eating her lunch and being very RUDE while simultaneously requesting my information. She informed me that no appointment was on record. When I inquired about Maurice, she mentioned that he had left for lunch earlier and should have returned by by now since he went to lunch before her. After waiting for 15 minutes, I approached the cashier's area to speak with a manager and was rudely informed that no manager was available as they were on vacation. I asked what can i do to file a complaint and the woman replied with "i don't know what to tell you" These experiences have left me deeply dissatisfied with the level of professionalism and customer service at your establishment. I recommend avoiding Sun State Ford's Body Shop! My 2023 Ford F 150 had 15,000 dollars worth of repairs in May 2025 and their workmen ship is subpar. The left front fender was completely replaced and none of the bolts that hold the fender on were tight. Being an old paint and body man, I saw the alignment of the fender was off and started moving the fender with my hands. I found all the inner bolts were just hand started, the upper bolts were finger tight too! I have called to try to get my truck repairs complete and no calls have been returned in over 2 weeks of daily messages! My right side outside mirror was broken while in their shop, not sure if they are going to do anything! read more

The day before I purchase my truck I reached out to the dealership about possibly buying a Maverick. Unfortunately all the Mavericks are sold out and they couldn't help me out. The next day Alexis text me letting me know that there was a Ford Maverick that Was available to purchase. I headed over to the dealership as quickly as possible to purchase it. When I got there Alexis greeted me and we got straight to business which I appreciated. I knew this truck was hard to find so the numbers were pretty straightforward. Alexis did a great job making the process as quick as possible. Overall I couldn't ask for a better experience thank you so much for the new truck. So disappointed with Sunstate Ford Orlando and will never do business here again or recommend them to anyone else. I purchased a 2019 Ford Fiesta SE here 3 years ago with the expectation that I was getting a reliable vehicle. The car broke down on the side of I95 recently with transmission issues. I did a bit of research and models a few years older than mine are known to have transmission issues. I still owe over $11,000 on this vehicle and the gentleman I spoke with about it basically told me it's my problem to deal with. So now I'm taking public transportation to get around all while still making car payments. Terrible business. read more

Finance Manager Charles is an obtuse jerk. I'm a cash pay customer, I don't have to listen to your sales spiel on warranties, etc. I know you won't make $$ on me and I don't care. As a cash pay customer, don't tell me by law you have to tell me this, aka make me listen to your spiel. Oh wait, I said that. And also don't ask me to sign a contract that the intent of layout is far from unclear as to what it is referring. Oh sign here! No. He even admitted that he felt it was unclear, told me to check a third section that would have completely f--ed me in the future. Not him, had I did as he said. And he wonders why I didn't like him? Omissions on the contract, language unclear that he could not explain. If I don't understand it, I don't sign it. Wanting me initial that I had received docs that I had not yet been given. He asked me to verify the vin on the contract. I asked how am I am to do that? He then asked, "Didn't you look at the vehicle?" Clearly uncalled for and highly unprofessional. So I got up, took the contract to the truck to verify the vin. And btw, the other finance guys and sales associates were dying laughing outside the office that "someone" had their comeuppance to a girl. ON THE OTHER HAND, Mida was an absolute jewel to work with. She understands trucks/capacities/usage/payload. Out of 5 dealerships, she was the only one who had this knowledge. read more

We are from out of state and after reading other reviews here about the service department I was leery but my local dealer had previous experience with them and said they were great so we gave it a shot. I am so glad we did! Stacey was our service advisor and she went above and beyond to communicate the issues and get the repairs done in a timely manner. She was also very courteous, knowledgeable, and returned calls promptly. We dropped the car off on Saturday for diagnosis and picked it up Monday at noon. The part was replaced, oil changed/tires rotated, and 2 recalls addressed (she offered to do those while it was in too). When we purchased the car, we also bought the CPO warranty from Ford and this repair alone recovered half of that cost so it was definitely worth it. That, and knowing we have that coverage for another 45,000 miles is great peace of mind. I would definitely return to Sun State service department and recommend them to others. read more

I brought my Ford Escape into the shop in September and was advised I would need a new a new engine covered under warranty by Maurice. The day I was there I briefly spoke with Joe who was rude, condescending, and although I had an appointment as I had been advised told me they may not even look at it today. At that point I have made it extremely clear to Ford customer service and your service department I did not under any circumstance want to speak to Joe again. I dropped my car off on 10/3 and was given a small Kia Sorento that now does has many small nuisances that would not have been a big deal for a short time, but have become major inconveniences. My vehicle has now been in your shop for 8 WEEKS!!! I received a call from Joe on 11/14 advising that my vehicle would be complete on 11/18 or 11/19. I never heard anything more until this afternoon advising that allegedly need ANOTHER part ordered! I am livid! I have family coming into town and need my vehicle so that I am able to attach a trailer for a mobility scooter. I have communicated this to Nicole as well a couple weeks ago. The lack of communication and disregard for my request to not be put in a position to speak to someone who is rude, talks over me, and even hung up on me today is unacceptable. Horrible experience. James the service attendant had very poor customer service skills. He gave very little communication and follow up about my vehicle if I didn't ask. Sometimes not responding to my texts about my vehicle at all.....Not the mention being unprofessional by hitting on me. My vehicle don't even sound the same when I drive it and the prices are a ridiculous. I had to take my vehicle another mechanic the same day I left the dealer to fix another issue that came up while they were fixing the first issue. This service center is the reason "scam artist mechanics" are a stereotype. They held my car for 2 months for a simple warranty repair. When I demanded my car back after 2 months, the battery was now dead because they left it so long and now wanted to charge me for that as well. When I received the car back, not only was the original warranty not fixed, but now I had additional issues with my car such as a broken latch. Why didnt someone catch that my points were used instead of my maintenance plan which covers Oil changes. If Maurice didnt catch it what about the billing people - the maintenace coverage should pop up automaticly so it is clear that I have these plans. So if not the serivce Rep or the billing maybe its your old software. But Ford needs to fix this. Also Why didnt Sun State Ford receive the part for the Two recalls. I was told over the phone that Sun State could not check on my Ford Focus for potential transmission issue until July 11. That was three weeks ago. So I waited and then drove there, 28 miles away from Kissimmee where I stay. When I arrived I was told that because it was transmission would have to leave it. Very specifically told over phone that they would check it on this day and while I wait. I was phoned a reminder yesterday. This place where do I start. First off this place is very unprofessional and will waist your time!!! I have been dealing with them since last Friday and now it's Thursday and I still don't have the vehicle. First he told us we would be good with just putting down 3,000 but once we got there and they ran the credit things start to get choppy then he started to show us other vehicles then he come and say you think you can put down 5,000 and then we say yes then they come back and say can you put down 10 then we say yes then they come and make us pay 11,000 then once my card cleaned now wait on the finance people to come and give me my paperwork work but they never came after 3 house they finally say once you get your security lock off then when can release the vehicle to you but until then we had to leave with no vehicle but we had already payed 11,000 and then he comes and say can you put now 2,000 more and we said no so we left Monday come and we call to pick up vehicle and they said it had been sold to someone els they never credited my card back so I had to drive back witch is a house in a half away so they can credit my money back while I was there I did see a similar vehicle so we decided let just go with this one since the account is still open and they have the down payment we seat there for 4 hours just to tell us they still want to have us put down 2,000 more witch we said we could not do now we have been here waiting to see and we have not gotten anywhere it really felt like a scam! Because I have never felt or silt with any thing like this and the manager was not to much of a help and they say that happen a lot about the them selling the vehicle, even though it's a process by big companies. So if you don't want to get your time wasted don't go here!!!!!! My uncle and I bought a truck from Sunstate Ford less than a month ago. Of course, they were helpful whenever we bought the truck, considering that it is over $80,000 F-350 Platinum. The day we took the truck we got only one fob and the salesman said that we will get the second fob later because he cannot find it, I even have it on a text message. I didn't think it'a a big deal as long as they would get it for us within a week or so. I checked with the salesman a few days ago about the fob and all he had to say is that they cannot get me another fob and that's the end of it. These fobs that have remote start, open the tailgate etc are pretty expensive and I have to pay for that now? I emailed the general manager to resolve my issue, and never heard back from her. The salesman ignores me now after we paid close to $90,000 with all the warranties we got. Another thing this dealership does, the sell you warranties that are not even Ford warranties. Could be nice to disclose that upfront. This is by far the worst experience I had. A week after my uncle bought the truck I purchased a Mustang GT from the Ford dealership in Davenport FL which was a whole lot different from Sunstate. I will contact Ford Motor to see if they can help us get what we paid for. read more

I like the mobile service they offer for oil changes. I got mine done while I was at work. They cover a good sized distance at no extra cost. Roberto came out and did a quick turnaround on the oil change and rotating my tires. An oil change is probably one of the few services that's actually less expensive at the Ford dealership than say a Jiffy Lube. read more

Yesterday I went to Sun State Ford to purchase a used car. I have purchased vehicles from them in the past. Tom our sales person was great. Charles in finance did his job trying to have us buy extra stuff but was very nice when we declined. He explained everything very well. Great job, I was not in the need to haggle nor were they. We made a deal and it was painless. Thank you very much. I spoke too soon. The car was one of those certified used car with a 137 items check and work. It cost more because it was one of those guaranteed cars one of 3 or 4 on the lot. I took the car in because the cruise control did not work, it took 5 hours on a day off. They said I had to bring it in because the sensor person only worked on Tuesdays. Tuesday rolls around and I was told the reason the cruise control did not work was because a mount was broken and needed to be ordered and the sensor person comes back on Thursday. Thursday I get the call, the sensor mount, mounts on another mount that was missing. They have to order the other sensor mount that was missing and would call me. I also asked them to change the oil because it showed it was out of date. Then I looked into the 137 items Sunstate was supposed to check, you guessed it adaptive cruise control and an oil change, wipers and a full tank of gas, among many other items to check. The people I have dealt with are really nice, but the blue certification means nothing and costs more. I spoke to a manager yesterday and I think he is stepping up to take care of the issues. I went to Sunstate because of other purchases I made from them, they stood behind their product and made things right. It looks like they will do it again. So far, they are doing what they should do. After next week I will update this post. I received my car this afternoon. It's fixed, took a little bit, they did what they said they would. Thanks. I will keep you updated. read more

Called a fifth time and spoke to the office manager. She was helpful but I was transferred to a voicemail in the service department. Once again no help. If we could give 0 stars, we would but since we can't, 1 star it is, and that's us being VERY generous after the disrespect our parents had to endure with this dealership. My parents were on their way to test drive a F150. Keep in mind, that it's a 2-hour drive to get to this dealership. "Rafiu" was the salesperson that we were in contact with. Once there, our parents were able to test drive the truck. They ended up liking the vehicle and wanted to purchase it. My husband then asked Rafiu over the phone if we'd be able to negotiate for a better price since we'll be paying for it all in cash. He stated that he wouldn't be able to, which we completely understood. My husband then asked Rafiu to give us the final price, taxes and all. He finally gave us a number, which we all agreed on, so we told him to go ahead with the papers. He left and came back after a few minutes, now with a different number stating that the truck is now this price instead of the prior one he gave us. My husband, asked why, and Rafiu stated that the price went up because we were NOT financing for the truck and that we were instead paying cash. So, because we decided to pay in cash, apparently that meant that we were going to be charged more?!?! **No where in the history of our conversation prior to my parents arriving at the dealership, did we ever state anything about wanting to finance the vehicle. From the very beginning, we were clear-as-day about paying for everything in cash. And Rafiu said that was fine. After a few minutes of going back and forth about the price for the F150 and trying to make sense of the situation, he got aggravated and snatched the papers that were in front of my parents -- crumble them up and threw it into the trash, then proceeded to walked out. Leaving my parents alone and dumbfounded. They did eventually find the sales manager, who my husband tried speaking to. We wanted to get a better understanding of what was going on with the price change. My husband attempted to explain to the sales manager about the situation, but he didn't want to hear any of it. He stated that he didn't care if anything was explained to us or not. After hearing that, we were fuming with anger because the sales manager clearly didn't care about his customers. We told him that we will not be doing any business with him if that's the way he conducts his business. Unfortunately, my parents left the dealership without a car, but that's ok.
