In reality, I'm paying $30 every single day just to charge it. Do the math -- that's thousands of dollars a year they stole from me with their lies. The car qualified for the $4500 tax credit, but the dealership gave me no documents to prove eligibility. I emailed and texted them multiple times -- absolutely no response. Total silence. I am both pissed and embarrassed. I am writing the review that I wish existed before I did any business with Mike's Auto. I wish I'd never heard of them. All I wanted to do was purchase a car and go about my business. At this point, I have a car that is undriveable, an outstanding car loan, AND a huge repair bill. There's a lot to unpack but it's worth 5 mins of your time before you lay down thousands of dollars of your hard-earned money. I reside in another state and purchased a car last spring. I had the car delivered to me in June 2022. While driving the car at the end of September, the engine blew. I was towed to a local BMW dealership for evaluation and repairs. They estimated repair of a blown engine at over $50K (yes fifty thousand). Their analysis concluded that at some point the car was subjected to water and sustained major damage. The local dealer couldn't even look me in the eye when they suggested that I get the "full" vehicle history. From local dealer service tech - "Upon inspection of your BMW we found signs of water, determined by traces of rust left behind. We found this in the air inlet, the turbo charger inlet and numerous coolant passages. We found rust stains around the spark plugs. It is our opinion that this vehicle ingested water thru the air filter, which led to catastrophic damage to the interior of the engine. The piston rod came out thru the side of the block." I come to discover through my own research tracing the "full" vehicle history back to its origin in NJ, these items that were NOT on the Carfax. 3/12/21 - Fault Performance Malfunction - Engine, Starter and Engine Replacement 9/2/21 - Water Issue - Did not Start - $29K cash insurance claim, replace air filter The car is still under the manufacturer's warranty but BMW refuses to honor given it was not a defect. Since the car has about 5000 miles and was only driven 2 times on extended road trips (600mi/each trip), I certainly have not driven the car to excess or subjected it to any water hazards. The water was introduced prior to my purchase. Mike's Auto claimed that the "passed their inspection" and since I bought it "as-is", they are not liable. I have pictures of the rusted assemblies and local service advisor comments as further evidence of water in the internal car systems. In my conversations with Mike's Auto, before they offloaded me to their attorneys, they gave a ton of excuses and weak explanations. That should be enough to give you an indication of the type of dealership this is. You'll probably have a good buying experience. You'll even see the smiling faces of customers on Day 1 of car ownership, and I would have been one of them. My face was totally different on Day 100. This dealer's stock line is "we've been in business for 25 years". So was Charlie Ponzi and Bernie Madoff. There's much more to the story and I cannot wait to get in front of a judge and/or jury. Don't feel that you are trapped and have no recourse if you sign an as-is contract, and something goes wrong after you leave the lot. Hopefully, you will never be in this predicament. Bottom line: I would not recommend this dealer. Consider my tale as you make your purchasing decision. At the very least, get an independent inspection. read more

Wow, where to start with this place... I went in and test drove a car. Things seemed ok at first. They didn't really know a ton about the car, especially the car fax items which was a laundry list of auctions and multiple owners/questionable items. It was when the test drive ended that things got interesting... At the end of the test drive I put the car in reverse to pull into the parking spot. The backup camera did not come on. The staff seemed to know nothing about it. I told them I was not interested in the car if it wasn't fully operational but they kept telling me it was under warranty and I could just take it in to a dealer after I purchased it. I told them it was under warranty so THEY could just take it in and fix it and then let me know once it was fixed. THIS IS WHERE IS GETS GOOD! The next day I called to ask what they decided about getting the camera fixed and they told me they were not going to fix it but they called a Hyundai dealer and found there was a factory recall on the backup camera so the new owner could take it in to any dealership and get it fixed. I asked what dealer they called so I could verify and they put me on hold. (Never a good sign.) Then came back with the dealer to call. I called the dealer and talked to the service department manager and she informed me that no recall exists on the vehicle and that they never got a call from this dealership. I called Michaels Autos back and told them what I found and they blamed the service department manager for not knowing anything. When I asked why they had no record of getting a call from them they again hesitated and then said to call another dealership and ask for Jaffar. (Yes, like the Aladdin villain who is best known for being able to lie to his subjects by hypnotizing them.) I called the dealership where this "Jaffar" was supposed to work and they told me that no one by that name worked there. I called Michaels back again and told them and their answer was "Gosh everyone you call seems to be lying to you." Sure. Sure. Now I have been told that the car is in a shop getting fixed but I would not hold my breath. Very dishonest. I think they were just hoping I wouldn't double check their lies and once I bought the car it would be on me to pay to have the camera fixed since they don't seem to want to do it. Be wary of them. Verify everything. Don't automatically trust everything they say. Shady at best. read more

BUYER BEWARE. I went to the dealership looking to purchase a 2009 Cadillac CTS V. LET ME WARN YOU ALL. THEY HAVE TO RUN YOUR CREDIT AS PER THE FINANCE MANAGER BEFORE TEST DRIVES. WHY? "BECAUSE LOOK AT THE CARS I HAVE LIKE THE HELLCATS, BMWS. Etc.... " WOW!! I'm in my 50s not a teenager. I was told its in showroom condition before getting there. NOPE!!! It's not. Scratches front and rear and a plastic welded crack dead center of the rear bumper. I have pics if I could post them. What I wanted to do was trade in my car and drive off as it has confirmed $10k equity to roll into the new car loan and drive off as the dealer is almost 2 hours away. The sales guy who was helping me seemed to be a pretty genuine good guy. The finance guy on the other hand, not so much. After running my credit and checking various banks, I get told they can't get the car financed and that it has nothing to do with me or my credit. It's the cars year even though the value is there. So now he offered me $25k for my car when I showed him others in writing offering $27k. He claims I would get it back in tax credits and it would be a wash. They also ADD $799 in dealer fees. You mean pure profit fee. Next he wanted me to give him an additional $10k making it 20k now, to bring it where the bank would finance the car. OK, Ill just pay cash I said several times. But where words can change things so drastically is finance manager proceeds to tell me he wants my trade-in now so he can make more money (his own words) after I told him I would sell it and get the full $10k in equity. He then got very upset when I declined and said I would pay cash. Well not anymore. NO SALE! Now claims its a misunderstanding. Then four days later I get a private message from the sales guy asking if I did sell my vehicle which I told him yes. Then he proceeded to tell me oh well we could've gave you $3400 more today. Sure. The car has been sitting on the for sale sites for almost 50 days and he's going to claim now he's got a buyer willing to pay a $5k premium over the price originally. Bahahaha. read more

I saw a Range Rover for sale in this showroom, after I called them and agreed with them on the price I flew all the way from Los Angeles to come and buy the car. After meeting with them they changed the price we agreed upon. Another issue was about small dent on the car that Was never mentioned when I asked if there was any damage on the car. Also it didn't appear clearly in the photos. They became rude and mean with me, however I decided to buy the car anyway. When I brought the check to them they told they don't have the title for the car and I will get it after 3 weeks, so basically they wanted me to pay them and they will keep the car and the money. Recently got a Audi Q5 from Michael's. I was helped by Richard. The transaction was fairly easy. They had me pre approved and all my paperwork ready for me to pick the car up the following day. They do have some fees that I didn't agree with but I went along with it because they did facilitate the transaction. Biggest complaint I have is I asked if the car has two keys when I was reading through the contract. I asked about three times. I was not given a yes or no until after I signed and I was handed a single key.I would've still gotten the car regardless if they told me about the one key but made it seem like they were hiding the fact. ***And another thing, they gave me the car with less than 40 miles on the tank and said the car does not come with a full tank of gas. I have always bought a car at a dealership where they fill the tank up before handing it over. I already financed over 22k through their bank and payed all their fees with a 5k down payment. . A $50 gas tank would've made the experience a complete 5 star rating. I had to make a stop at the gas station LITERALLY NEXT DOOR. Buyer beware this dealership have nice looking car but they don't take care, when you ask any previous problems mechanic or body, paint brakes or anything else they don't come clean The car I buy has the windshield replace and never mention to me, they charge $ 898 dealer fee but do nothing to this car the tires are almost wear out the hood and front bumper are in need of paint the cargo cover was missing and I have to drive back for the second key and have removed the gap insurance they say was required by the bank for financing that was a lie. I bought a 2013 BMW X5 3/2019 and the guys were great. I still love my vehicle but the warranty company Red Shield is the absolute worst, they may even be a scam. My first visit to my local BMW 7/2019 for what I thought was brake issue was an oil leak and worn thrust arm bushing. Red Shield denied the oil leak repair. Thinking the dealer was not reasonable I found a local certified mechanic. The mechanic has been trying since 8/2020 to get approval for this repair. He has sent invoices and pictures numerous times. I have called several times, last time being 3/8/21. In the mean time I have a pool of oil in my garage and now my rear door will not go all the way up. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS WARRANTY. It will take your money, frustrate the hell out of you and fix nothing if they can get away with it. read more

I tried to do business with this operation, found them online as I was looking to purchase a specific vehicle. Out of state buyers beware, always have a vehicle inspected by a 3rd party even when the vehicle is under factory warranty. After a day of my constant questions, I received a few highly vague answers regarding some rehab work they did in addition to being told it had "brand new tires", when I asked to see auction sheet it said tires were worn and when I asked salesman again he just said oh no the tires are just fine and it threw up a red flag. I searched and found a very reputable independent shop down the street "Dealer Service Alternative " to perform a inspection and they failed to bring it over to them twice. Resulting in the auto shop owner telling me he won't take another appointment from them. I'm not shipping a vehicle across the US from the words of a salesman. Anyways, I'm not saying these guys are dishonest at all but buyer beware! If you don't know anything about cars, have it inspected. Alvaro's review below seems spot on to me and I decided to find another vehicle. I appreciate you taking the time to respond, but what concerns me is either you or you Michaels Auto is a Liar!
