I'm sure the employees of this company are great people, but this company is absolutely horrid!!! I highly recommend staying away from them. Our pool was supposed to be finished in April at our Town House residence in Pleasant Hill. IT IS STILL NOT FINISHED... Plus the pool deck is leaking in multiple places and it was done improperly. 100% AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! They would also go weeks at a time before working on things. They also have not paid their gate subcontractor to date because he informed our HOA they still had not paid him. STAY AWAY!!! Awesome company. They bought company from long time friend Kevin who needed to sell the business. They took over our regular pool service with the same person we had for years named Mark. Let me tell you something about Mark. When my father was in the hospital with CHF the only person who came to see him was Mark our pool guy. Says something about him. Called company about heater problem and Eric & Phil came out. Our pump decided to light itself on fire in front of them so that was a plus. Needed to upgrade all existing wiring runs. Yep. Massive friggin ' job. Eric came out and dug a test hole. Gave them the go-ahead and they started. Had a rough price for job but it became abundantly apparent that it was low after day 2. They finished job sooner than expected and didn't pad the price even though they did way more than the binding verbal agreement. And when the owner came to our house to do pool chems & I asked about our unpaid bill I said we didn't receive the bill in the mail he was nice. He told me the total for the whole pool dig out wiring job plus extras was massively less than I thought they would try to sweat me for. About 25%. I then realized that they were about the work and not a quick nickel. Honest people just trying to get by. You can't ask for much more. read more

We had a very bad experience with this company and finally dropped them in favor of a new company that is blowing us away with how clean our pool is and how much they care about serving our needs(unlike Sun Pointe). 1 - On two different occasions one of their pool cleaning techs left our baby gate open, we specifically installed the baby gate/fence to prevent our own children and any other children in the neighborhood from drowning, and on two occasions the pool tech recklessly left the fence unhooked and wide open. 2 - We have a pool cover, Sun Pointe claims that their technicians cannot remove the pool cover, and that we must do it - fine we're happy to remove it before they come. However on three different occasions in a row, pool techs showed up sooner than our scheduled appointment and because the cover was still on the pool, they simply left and didn't even notify us that they were there. And all three instances we were home and would've been happy to do it if we had known they were there. The real kicker, Sun Pointe still expected to get paid even though they left without cleaning the pool! After 3 to 4 weeks in a row of this, our pool had become overridden with algae disgusting unswimmable and embarrassing. The new company we're using is happy to remove the cover, they simply ask that we replace it which we're happy to do. Ultimately they actually clean our pool which is the entire point of this whole thing! 3 - The new pool company informed us that a chemical designed to offset chlorine's reactivity to ultraviolet radiation was about 10 times higher than supposed to be, for some reason Sun Pointe never notified us of this. Because of the extra high level of this chemical, much more chlorine needs to be added even though we have a saltwater pool we have noticed that Sun Pointe was adding more and more chlorine, apparently to deal with this issue. We are happy that the new company informed us of this, and we will be draining the pool this winter and refilling with new water so we can reset the chemical balance and reduce the amount of chlorine in the pool. Unfortunately I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere to have your pool cleaning needs, Sun Pointe even told us on several occasions that they were simply understaffed and couldn't serve us at the level that we wanted, other pool companies don't seem to have a problem with this. read more

They have done a great job with our weekly service. Easy billing process and you get a weekly email with with details on what was serviced. After using them for a few months we asked them about remodeling our pool and they provided us with a quote. Met with several other contractors, but their price was competitive and they gave us good advice on where to spend our money for the most value. Set up a time for us to meet another customer who had them remodel his pool so we could see how a similar project turned out. We had our pool retiled, new pump and cleaning system. Pool has never looked better. They started the job when they said they would and completed it on time. Very happy with the results. Would recommend them to family and friends. Our pool heater had not been functioning very well. Leslie's wanted about $150 just to come and take a look. I called Sun Pointe got an appointment in two days. They did warn me that my heater was old and a was not very good so it could mean replacement. I understood, it is 20 years old. Anyway Eric came out and solved the problem in less than 5 minutes - no charge. Besides he brought out a case of acid I requested (they'll bill me).
