I used to go to Sun Nails for pedicures when we lived in Corona, and I've returned after having repeatedly bad experiences at a nail salon which is close to my home in Riverside (cut nails so close they bled, didn't use toe separators and had to touch up toenails after trying to put flip flops on feet before polish was dry). I gotta say, I was beyond disappointed! They were pretty quiet and rude to start with, which is a bummer. The lady who did the manicure actually painted part of my pinky, like my nail was longer than it was. When I asked her for acetone (I was gonna fix it myself, no biggie!) she glared at me then did it herself all the while giving me the evil eye. Two days later my nails are chipped to no end. I wouldn't go back here! Some of the ladies I talked to were really sweet, but the majority of them seem rude and pretty disinterested in their job. I'd head down to Bella Vie on Magnolia off the 15! The basic nail care is excellent, removing cuticles, massage, polish. However, new towels are needed, as the one used on me was rough. I had to stop the the technician from rubbing my arm and scratching me! I advised her to pat or just air dry. The cream needs an upgrade also. It's a garish pink & has a consistency that my skin didn't easily absorb. I was happy when she patted it of with the warm towel. My basic manicure was $15. She tried to sell me on a $28 gel manicure that supposedly lasts longer & dries more quickly. I haven't tried it yet due to the price. read more

We found Sun nails on my navigation system cuz we were in the area. I called them at 6:05 asking them what time they closed, they told me 7pm so I assumed they wouldnt take us, she then asked what we needed done. I told her we needed 3 pedicures and manicures, thinking she'd turn us away, I was ready to hang up, but she said they'd stay open for us! We got there at 6:10pm, the place was SUPER CLEAN, the staff was so hospitable and nice. I told them it was my birthday and they all wished me a happy bday and even gave me a free design. It was an ever relaxing time in my spa chair that massaged me. They did not rush us at all, and gave us ALL the best mani pedis EVER! I only wished I lived closer to go here more often! first time i had the pedi and it was ok, done right, didnt nip me and draw blood which is always a good thing. 2nd time i came back for a full set with pedi, i hate getting them at the same time cause its very uncomfortable. they have the chair controls wired to the chairs... *why? has anyone tried stealing them? it was very pricey for that visit as they do alot of addons without saying it costs more then they don't itemize your bill to show you what you paid for. i have nothing but praise for my tips with overlays, not a problem and its all about the operator you get and how well they do their job, don't condemn the shop, but find a girl you like and keep going to her. I've tried this location twice and both times got cut by one of the tools. The first time was during a manicure in which I got my cuticle cut, but I let it go and figured it was just an accident. But I tried to go again last night and noticed when they were scrubbing my feet and it was really hurting, I just figured they had a lot to get off but after I left I notice my foot still burning. Turns out the pumice stone cut my foot. I know this isn't the ladies fault technically but the inner sole of the foot has thin skin and I've had my feet scrubbed plenty of times at salons and have never gotten cut before. I also didn't like that they discussed tip with me. Telling me tip is better in cash, after I said I am paying with my card. I don't think I'll be returning. read more

I almost cried and thought I'd never return because three of the women kept conversing, while working on my nails and not even paying attention, with their eyes wandering. I gave it a third chance since it's so conveniently located for me, but this time I was fortunate enough to get work done by Nancy. My absolute favorite! Worst nail salon hands down! Got a light pink gel got home and all bubbled and peeled! Went back the next day and not only did she ruin my grown out nails the gel polish looked like my 2 year old did them. I live in this area and have been coming here on and off for 8 years. They have new chairs which are nice but it doesn't make up for the lack of service. Several times now I have called ahead to put my name on the list and avoid a wait, and yet again still had to wait 30 minutes for a chair. Despite my call ahead- my daughter and I were not able to get our pedicures at the same time. If you spend a lot of money and get several services done then you get a lot of attention- but otherwise you don't. The staff is obviously not shy from offending customers by speaking in their language during the whole service time. Laughing and chatting while I'm front of customers in another language is rude. I've been coming here for years and I've never had a bad experience. I usually have Kim do my pedicures and foot/leg message and she does an amazing job. Whenever I've gotten my nails done it's always been a superb. No matter who does it. They're friendly and professional. I will be honest they're scheduling is a bit whacky. My manicurist was pushy, kept pressuring me to hurry and pick a color and scolded me for not knowing what I wanted sooner. Also kept mumbling things under her breath. They are a bunch of shady people, especially the owner! We had the worst experience! Their packages price changes when they give you the bill, they wouldn't let you know of the add ons they are putting on your nails. Most of the manicurists don't understand what you want, or simply can't understand english, they insisted on doing where they can profit without telling you. I'm not happy with my nails at all since they couldn't follow what I instructed. You are supposed to feel pampered but there you feel like being tortured, my mom didn't get her massage because they already called the time when they didn't even let my mom know when the massage time starts or called her attention for it. This place is the worst! I came in to get a pedi and full acrylic set and wanted a pretty basic nail art design. I even brought photos of EXACTLY what I was looking for and before I sat down I asked them if they could do these particular designs. The guy assured me that it was no problem so I made the terrible decision to sit down. They asked me which pedicure package I wanted and I clearly told them the basic package. Since I did not initially upgrade, they were constantly trying to upsell me through the whole process. I understand this sales technique but if you are going to ask in the beginning, do not keep harassing me about it. They guy who did my manicure was a joke. I asked for short nails and SHOWED him a picture of the length I wanted and he still cut them long. I kept telling him to go shorter so he would make remarks like "No, we keep them sexy." UGH! Every nail was lumpy and uneven and he would become exasperated when I would ask him to even them out. I finally got so frustrated that I gave up and resigned myself to allowing him to do his crappy job, then going to another place to have them fixed. The polish they have is cheap and it is a sparse color selection. The simple design I asked for has turned into a wad of paint that looks like it was applied by a mentally challenged monkey. I received an eyebrow wax and one of the packaged pedicures. It cost $46 for spa pedicure, callus remover, hot wax, hot rocks, 15 min massage, cut and paint. The lady really took her time and did a good job did not rush. I think it should be about $10 cheaper for this service. My eyebrow wax was just okay $10. The service was completed in a clean environment and choice of polish is good. The spa chair was really comfortable and massaged so good I was sore the next day so be careful on the selection I will go back and try it again but due to most of the reviews on her hope for the same lady. I had a great experience here. I was worried because of all the reviews. I don't know if I was there at the right time or what. I came on a Wednesday around 1:30. It did get busy when I was leaving. I got manicure with gel French tip and a pedicure for $48. I like that they use bags in the tub for your pedicure and opened a new bag of tools for my manicure. A friend of mine frequents this salon and we went to get our nails done while I was visiting. I can see why she likes coming here! I felt quite welcome by the Lani and Vivian. They did a great job with my mani pedi and my friend loved her full set. I have very sensitive skin and am always apprehensive when trying new places. However, Lani put me at ease and was very gentle with my cuticles. Although they were busy, I felt well accommodated and was taken cared in a timely manner. I've decided to come here since my mother in law has been coming here for a long time, she's a regular and she tips well. Plus, we live in the retreat in corona so this nail salon isn't far from us. I walked in, was greeted, picked my color and Megan worked on my nails (got a full set) ; during her service she was very sweet and gentle, made conversation with me. In the middle of working on my nails, she was switched with a man to do someone's pedicure (which I was kinda bummed out) anyways, he was very rough and aggressive! He held my fingers very hard and literally cracked 2 fingers as he was pulling them!! Very rude and unpleased. As he painted my nails he told me to wait for them to dry which he said 10 minutes and he walked off to work on someone else. I've waited about 15 minutes and while my nails were drying I noticed my pinky nail weren't fully painted which needed more paint. I then told him and he said it looks fine, and I wanted another coat and he didn't think I needed one but IM THE ONE GETTING MY NAILS DONE SO I SHOULD HAVE THE SAY SO! He then painted another coat and said I need to wait again was only 1 nail needed to dry before putting on the matte polish. I waited ANOTHER 15 minutes just for one nail to dry, mind you it's only my pinky nail. He went off to finish the girls nail who he was working on... After about 10 minutes of sitting in the chair I asked if I was finished he said "you're done you can leave" using a hand gesture pointing out the door. I thought he was very rude! He then spoke in Vietnamese to the other ladies and I heard him say"no tip" (I don't tip until my nails are completely finished to decided how much tip they should receive) My nails weren't properly filed some are slanted and has more width than the other. Displeased! I gave him $2 (when I really didn't want to tip him at all) but I gave Megan $5 and asked what her name was and the next time I decide to come I will ask for her. Who would think a pedicure could be so horrible? This was the worst pedicure experience I had ever had. There was a reason I had never gone back there years ago, even though it is very close to my home! This is not my normal nail salon and I really regret not waiting now. My toes look worse now than when they did when I arrived. I was set up with a man, do not know his name because he never spoke to me. He started my water walked away for about 5 minutes. Started to trim my nails with very dull clippers when someone came up to him speaking another language. He then walked away from me for another 5 minutes. At this time I was irritated and almost walked out then, looking back I really should have. He came back and barely filed my nails, so they are still jagged on the ends. He trimmd my cuticles and used the pumice on my heels then painted my nails. As he was painting I think he actually fell asleep as the brush of the poish slipped down my entire big toe. He attempted to clean it up then just polished over the mistake. His paiting skills are horrible. All of my toes have polish on the sides on my nail beds. I never even saw any lotion or received any sort of massage whatsoever. As I went to the dryer I bent down to look at the horrible job, at that point I was very upset and just wanted to get out of there. Another man, the owner??, asked me if I had ruined my nails. I told him no and explained/asked was I suppose to receive lotion? He asked, you didn't get any massage? I told him no. He didn't have any sort of resolution for me and of course at that point I didn't want anyone else touching me. He offered me a frequent guest card and I flat out told him that I would not be using it because I had no plans on ever coming back. This salon is absolutely horrible, no personal skills whatsoever, and I don't feel as if they cared if I was there or not! Never again! read more

I am new to the Corona area and needed to find a place that did good acrylics. I was in a rush one day and came across Sun Nails and thought it looked decent, it was packed and the price was right. The lady that did my nails did NOT do a good job at all. She was shaking the whole time (which could be no fault of her own) but she should not be doing peoples nails with an unsteady hand. I asked her for square nails and she gave me round and in the end they were way too short to even change. My acrylics were extremely thick and the nail tips didn't even fit. I had to ask her to file them down so they weren't bulging over the sides of my fingers. She didn't measure my nails so I have some that are longer than the others. Note, I am not one to be extremely picky but for 30 bucks I expect a job well done. I have been getting my nails done for 8+ years and know the routine of acrylics just can't do them myself. I was highly disappointed in the way they did my nails. For a few extra bucks I could of gone somewhere else and had them done the way I wanted. Anyways, save your money and read reviews.
