I have been going to this nail shop for at least three years. I was disappointed when I went in recently to get the nail acrylic removed they placed to let my nails breathe. Before she started she asked if " I was ready for pain" I didn't think anything adverse because they are usually professional and pay attention to detail. Sad to say a part of my nail was taken off during the removal process to let my nails breathe... I bled profusely and it still hurts. The action was careless and unnecessary. I am taking care of the nail very carefully to make sure I don't get an infection and to ensure my nail grows back properly. I keep wondering in the back of my mind was the act purposeful against me personally until I read another review. This experience was disheartening because I liked this place. I just got a deluxe pedi with gel a few mins ago and is so disappointed in the service and quality. I come here for pedi often as it's close to home. I normally see an older lady with glasses who does a good job. She really cut and clean your cuticles and takes her time. today I saw a different tech. Didn't get her name but she normally sits in the front, always dressed up and handle the register. she did such a horrible job. She didn't cut my cuticles but said she did. I told her I like them short and she barely cut them. Didn't file my nails. They are all crooked and chipped looking. The service was rushed. It was my first time at Lovely Nails after stopping by another place that had a three hour wait! I was greeted warmly by the workers and welcomed immediately into a station where my feet soaked while Tina got started on my gel manicure. She was very sweet, quiet, but paid a lot of attention to detail which I truly appreciated. My gel manicure was wonderful and very relaxing. However, the thing that keeps me coming back to a new salon in the pedicure. I've had many surgeries on my toes and I always warn the ladies not to cut around certain areas because of the scar tissue. Some listen, some do not and it always leads to bleeding if they cut around the area I ask them not to. Tina listened to my every request without question and was meticulous! She took her time making sure everything looked perfect and I was able to truly enjoy my time there. My pros: very friendly atmosphere, in my experience, they do not upsell you (I was only asked what type of pedicure I wanted, no questions asked or pressuring into extra services after that), I was able to relax Mild con: the area inside isn't the "prettiest" looking. But their tools and procedures are always sanitary which is what I appreciate! Gel manicure and regular pedicure was $55 ($30 for gel manicure, $25 for regular pedicure) which is standard pricing for the area. I will definitely be coming back! read more

I just moved here and I came in to get regular acrylic nails. The lady didn't clean my hands first or soak them in water. I asked her to clean my cuticles and she sighed with attitude and goes "ugh well I normally charge extra for that but I'll do it" and STILL didn't do anything. Charging extra for what comes with it at EVERY nail salon! Excuse me? Does she think she's the only nail salon around? Definitely won't come back. I came home and half my nails were crooked and not what I asked for at all. And my cuticles on the side are fully grown out. It looks disgusting and she charged me 70 dollars! I came in last minute for a fill service apt. Three of my acrylic nails were already broken prior to the apt. Instead of the nail technician soaking the broken acrylic nails in acetone, she used her metal tools to take off the broken acrylic nails. She started with my left pinky and she broke off my real nail! It was sooooo painful and I told her to stop. That's when she finally soaked the acrylic nails in acetone. That was even worse! I was in so much pain throughout the service. To add insult to injury, she left my left hand acrylic nails soooo crooked! I could not believe it! Once she was done, she told me how much it was gonna be, and I was surprised that she didn't give me a bigger discount. She said that she already did, she charged $5 for each broken nail (in my opinion, that's a rip off!) but she'll charge me $7 in total. I told her that my nail still hurts. Shen then gave me an eyeroll and attitude, saying that's why she only charge me $7 for 3 broken acrylic nails. I love that this place didn't cost an arm and a leg as most salons have skyrocketed their prices for subpar and rushed service. The salon was clean, payment process was simple and easy (they accept Venmo), and staff was friendly - no sass! Only down side is their color choices were few and far in between. Not many nude colors to choose from and the selections available all looked kind of similar. I'd probably bring my own polish next time. The service itself was fast and I was happy with my pedicure. I read their reviews first and was hesitant to go in since majority of the reviews was not so good. I needed a mani and pedi badly for an event, so I went in anyways. This was the closest to home and I didn't have time to drive any further. Nancy did both my mani and pedi. I have been at so many nail salons and they're always so rough with my toes. 7/12/2018 Service date: Caused a wound on my toe. Charged me $23 for a basic pedi when their signs say $18. (Actually nothing was labeled $23. What an ass I was to miss this). No clear top coat was applied. Substandard scrubbing...left with rough heels. Today my toes are itching :( I unfortunately was too busy talking with an old friend and wasn't paying attention. Horrible service!!! called a few times to make appointments for myself and daughter (It's her bday) and said "No appt. needed walk in" and when I arrived they had only one client; I called again this morning to reassure we could come in and they said "Yes, come now". My girlfriend has searched for actual nail artists for a year now. She's been to three different salons that advertise nail art, however when she went in the nail "artists" could not do the specific work she asked for. She always showed pictures of what she wanted so there could be no mistake. She had one manicurist attempt to copy one of their own advertised designs, which turned out badly and another manicurist who straight out told her they could not do the art....so finally after months of this she finds Lily! I came with her into the salon on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. We walked in and they took her in right away. She chose all the colors that she wanted and sat down and explained what she wanted. Her fill went great and was done in 20 minutes. My girlfriend showed Lily the pictures on her phone of what she wanted: pink flamingos, teal, light pink and dark. She asked if Lily was comfortable doing this, and asked if she wanted to see the picture tutorial on how to do the design. Lily was confident in her artistic ability and did not need to. She did each nail with the requested colors, coated, did the designs, coated again, added jewels, another coat, and then a final coat. My girl really liked Lily's thoughtfulness for the life of the paint and the designs. In addition, to that my girl had asked for a nail jewel but with her creativity involved did more, just to make my nails pretty. We were super appreciative that she paid great attention to detail and was also done quickly (bc I hate waiting at nail salons). read more

This place deserve no star, but had to in able to write a review. Over price lousy job. They put on nail polish without applying clear coat, you need to tell them. Had my full set manicure with French tip. I had to ask, "Are you going to clean my cuticle?". The lady who work on me, which was the manager of this place said, not needed. I'm like what the ???? You're going to charge me $48 for complete full set manicure with acrylic nail and without trimming my finger nails and cleaning my cuticle? Very unhonest manager here. Please avoid. Also while at a foot spa. Watching her take on the next customer and she did it again also the tools she use after one customer to another is the same tools without sterilizing it. What she use in me from foot spa to clean around my toe nails saw her used the same tool to her next customer. I'm giving them 1.5 stars because my pedicure wasn't all that bad. BUT here's the deal. I drove up on Saturday, at around 5:47 pm. Sign said they closed at 6. Right as I was walking in the lady must have seen me and she rushed over to turn the 'Open' sign OFF. Other lady in the back was just laughing -- like 'ha ha'. Though I should not have gone back, I did b/c their work was what I could afford and they are close by. So two days later when they were good and open -- and after a 40 minute wait, I got the spa pedicure and it was going alright until the lady went to paint my toenails WITHOUT putting a clear coat on first. I was like.... NO. I told her to stop and to put a clear coat on b/c my toenails will turn yellow -- and seriously, who doesn't put on a clear coat at a nail salon?? She was on the first nail, then took the polish off and proceeded to paint them correctly, putting on a clear coat first. Everything was fine. I got into a lengthy conversation with another patron and when we were finishing up our conversation I asked to pay and the lady told me my total was nearly 6 dollars more than the cost that is posted on the window. I asked what was the reason. She said something I didn't understand. Then the lady that I struck up a conversation with informed me she said it was because of a callous remover. I was like 'What??'. Apparently, the pumice she did -- when they use that scrubber thing on the bottom of your feet to scrape the skin off -- they tried to charge me for that. I was dumbfounded. All I said was that I did not get any additional services. Then they started talking in their language and took my credit card. It is very obvious they were trying to cheat me because first off I've been getting my toes pedicured for over 20 years and have NEVER had anyone try charge extra for doing the foot scrub (pumice), which is a standard component. Also, if they did indeed provide an 'extra' service then they would have tried to get me to pay -- more than likely by explaining to me the process. No one is just going to let someone leave without paying for services rendered. But they didn't. When I said that I didn't receive any additional services after some talk in their language, they ran the credit card. I could tell she was miffed that I was challenging her, but that was it. This tells me that they tried to sneak it in, but I just so happened to catch on. They are totally unscrupulous. read more

I walked in and asked if they do SNS manicures, they said , yes. My first clue should have been having to soak my nails in a plastic bag filled with a strong acetone smelling liquid. I told the person I did not like having my entire hand in chemicals and the smell is horrible. SNS is suppose to be a more healthy/not as harsh choice for doing your nails. The next thing that irritated me was when she asked me to rub the cotton on my nails to remove the old polish - wait , I could do this at home myself??? Not impressed with that technique! My nails looked good so I told her so and paid and gave a $5 tip so was not too upset at that point. Before I left I decided to look up the product they said was SNS because it had a different name ENS...? Turns out it is acrylic ?? Not good and I told them to stop claiming it is SNS. If someone had an allergy or health concern, a reason they wanted SNS, they could have a lawsuit on their hands! We miss our girls at Lovely Nails Greenriver!! We cannot wait until they open back up and plan on being one of their first customers. We've been coming in for years and they feel like family. Our service has always been personalized and relaxing. They do a great job on my nails and I've never had any issues. The place is very clean as well and has ample parking. I read some previous negative reviews and have not experienced any of the same issues. But, if I'm not happy with something I just mention it right away. I even changed colors once halfway through because I didn't like it. She had no problem with it. One time, they even stayed late for me because I was going out of town. Updating my review and increasing stars from 3 to 4. I've now been here 5 times and gotten fills on my acrylics, pedicures, and eye brow waxing. I really like this place a lot. I feel like I'm getting my money's worth every time. They do simple, but cute nail designs, pedicures are fine (not long massages like I'm used too, but they also only charge 16 bucks), and they do a fine job on my eyebrows....very even, follow directions. As stated before, they are fast and efficient. Not chatty at all, but that's fine with me, I'd rather get in and get out with a job well done. They do an electric callas remover on feet which I've never experienced before, but worked really well, they charge $5 extra for this which is standard for callas remover on a pedicure.
