This owner treating his employees horribly, and in front of customers!! Really gross behavior and super unprofessional!!! I've been coming to The Nail Spot for six years, and I absolutely love my nail tech. The ladies here have always been warm, friendly, and welcoming, and they've kept me coming back year after year. Unfortunately, my visit on Wednesday, July 15, around 3:30 p.m. was very upsetting. When I walked in, there was only one other customer in the salon getting a pedicure. The owner was loudly yelling at the staff. It wasn't just raising his voice--it was shouting. It created an extremely uncomfortable atmosphere for everyone, including the other customer and, most importantly, the employees. My nail tech was visibly shaken. I quietly asked her what had happened, and she explained that he was upset because customers were texting their nail techs directly to make appointments instead of calling the salon. I've scheduled my appointments this way for the past six years because it's always been convenient and has never been an issue. He told them if they don't like his rules, they are welcome to leave! The owner eventually stormed out and sat on a chair outside the salon. A short time later, he came back in, slammed his drink on the counter, walked to the back, and began yelling at the staff again. Before I left, I told him that he shouldn't be yelling at his employees. He responded by saying he'd told them the same thing over and over. I told him that regardless of the reason, people deserve to be spoken to with kindness and respect, and that this kind of behavior should never happen in front of customers because it created a very awkward and uncomfortable environment for everyone. He apologized, but it didn't feel particularly sincere--he just seemed frustrated. I understand that he may have valid reasons for wanting customers to call the salon directly instead of texting their nail techs. That's his business decision to make. However, there is never a reason to berate employees in front of customers. I'm still giving five stars because of the wonderful women who work there and because my nail tech has consistently provided excellent service for six years. They deserve recognition. That said, if this had been my first experience at this salon, I honestly would not have returned. Be aware of this whack-o. I couldn't believe how he was talking to them. Not okay!!!!! read more

Nail Spot - Owner of the salon who was screaming at his staff - Nail Salons Near Me - Norco, California

I got my nails done here 5/21 and by today (5/26) they started popping off so easily not sure if it was just cheap nail glue, or what. Also the cuticles weren't pushed back. $100 for a mani pedi just for them to start popping off a few days later is a no for me. Definitely not coming back. Again maybe it just depends on the person doing your nails. read more

Ever since my salon closed to Covid (2020) I have been coming here to get pedicures. Lisa, Linda, Jessica, and Nancy are always happy to see me and always do a great job. ( I miss Quentin and his lovely singing voice. ) They all do a great job, and take their time. I have never had any issues. There are days when they do get super busy, and they try to accommodate everyone, but hey, they have to go home at some point, right? read more

Decent! I stopped by the Nail Spot to get a gel pedicure while waiting on my car to be washed down the street. This nail salon was empty for a Sunday, and I was able to be seated as a walk-in immediately. Jessica went to town removing my old gel nail polish, and changed it out for a gorgeous grey/purple. The most shocking part of my trip was the pricing. This was the most affordable gel pedicure I've purchased at $29! I chose to dock a star because the location is a bit outdated and not incredibly clean. It could definitely use a routine dusting. If you're looking for a quick and affordable place to get your nails done, this is your spot! read more

I would give this 0 stars, but yelp is too modest. I started coming here about a two months ago and really enjoyed my visits because I was getting great manicures, but boy did that change yesterday. I had called earlier in the day to request Linda for a manicure and I was told okay over the phone. Later when I came in Linda was busy so another employee helped me. I decided to give this person a chance, but by the end I wasted 30 dollars on the worse manicure of my life. The employee never asked what shape I wanted, so she filed my nails all janky and I ended up with different sizes. She also cut me twice and left bubbles on my gel nails. I recommend having your 5 year old daughter do your gel manicure before you step inside this establishment and waste your money on janky service. #dobetter read more

I use to love it here I moved and started going elsewhere for a reason instead of driving 15 mins to here. I recently returned because I was in the area and was about ready to leave because how are you going to tell me to pick another color because it's too light ? lol the NERVE! Had I not said anything and was about to get up and leave the lady was so serious! Never again, then i remembered she would complain about me using white polish. Came here last minute. I got a French manicure. My little girls also got manis and pedis. The women here were SO PATIENT. My girls and I got exactly what we asked for. Even when my 3 year old kept asking for purple color and I wanted her to get peach, the manicurist gladly took off the peach color and put purple sewing that my daughters eyes were tearing up. As a mom, this touched my heart. Her wanting to make my daughter happy. Will definitely be coming back here again. I moved from the OC, and this is my new "Nail Spot"! read more

Came here for a quick, last minute polish change because my usual place was really busy with an hour wait. Today is a Saturday and when I walked In it should've been a red flag that there were only 2 customers. One lady was getting acrylics and a man getting a hand massage. Polish changes here are $15 each so my total came to $30. I was in shock! this is the most I have ever paid for this service and I didn't know this ahead of time. If i did, I would've left. When I went to pay the lady didn't inform me ahead of charging my card you cannot add a tip on your card. I paid with credit card and she told me to go to the grocery store next door to get cash but I didn't have my debit card on me. The lady was rushed, filed my nails uneven, and the polish was not evenly painted on the nail. Safe to say I will never be coming back here. There's a reason it was so empty on a Saturday! I've been going here for about a year now, Nancy saved my feet. When I found Nancy I had an ingrown nail from a bad pedicure elsewhere. My feet hurt so bad I couldn't wear enclosed shoes. I tried spa after spa and was still in pain. Then I found Nancy and my feet are doing great!! I tell all my friends about her especially if they have an ingrown nail. I also get my eyebrows waxed here, finally a shape I can live with. Manicures too, I love this place! Everyone here is so friendly, they greet you by name when you walk through the door. I recommend this spa to everyone. Several nice and experienced ladies with a few gentlemen here to serve you. One last thing, the prices are reasonable too. Bring cash no tips on cards. read more

I use to come here a few years ago, but once I moved I stopped coming, I came back about two years ago and received terrible service when I got a gel pedicure, the nail tech who did it picked the wrong color and told me to that I had to pay change the color which of course pissed me off prompting me to not return. Then recently I decided to give them another try, I wanted a simple French pedicure with gel and ombre nails. I was told to choose my two colors for my nail ombre full set in which I did. The nail tech Linda, messed up the ombre completely and instead of being honest tried to cover up the mistake that took 2 hours. And my French pedicure is already chipping my nails haven't even been a week old yet. I will absolutely NEVER return to this shop again. One of the worst nail experiences of my life. read more

I don't know why people are giving this place such bad ratings. The staff were very attentive and greeted you immediately as you came in. I was helped by Quentin and Linda -- a most excellent duo. I got a fill with gel and a pedicure. They did it efficiently and nicely. Quentin even asked me if I wanted gel on my toes or regular polish! Linda paid a lot of attention to the smoothness of the gel. If she didn't like it, she redid it. Great place, will be coming back. read more

The worst experience I've had there in the 10 years I've been going , I went in for a pedicure and I brought my guy friend with me and he wanted nail designs . I walked in and asked for one manicure and one pedicure and Linda the lady at the first desk laughed at my friend. We dismissed it then sat down after waiting for 30 minutes with my feet in cold water a newer lady I haven't seen before sat him down I'm front and started on his nails , I looked over and say Linda and another worker pointing to him and talking about him , a customer by my friend had to look at him and tell him that it was okay . They made us both very uncomfortable we paid and left without giving a tip . I will not be coming back read more

I came in last night for a full set along with pedicures for my boyfriend and I, it was his first ever so I told the woman who helped him and she was so excited for him! I love the atmosphere of this salon, I've been here once before about a year ago and it's just as I remembered. Lisa did my pedi and Linda did my fullset of black claws, she called them "Lady Gaga" nails which I thought was so cute (: all three of the women who helped us had an incredible eye for detail, were easy to talk to and again the atmosphere of the salon was just wonderful. Also, Kevin made the experience entertaining with his humor. I'm definitely coming back, and so is my boyfriend! read more

Went in for a "Spa Pedicure" for $17, but no one would even come to the front reception counter for 5 minutes while I just stood there like an idiot. Finally an old man came and muttered something I could not really understand, so I sat down and waited. It seemed like they were really understaffed for a Saturday. Once they understood what I wanted and a person was available, all went smoothly. But, I have to agree with others here on YELP that it is really annoying for the workers to be constantly chatting in Vietnamese with each other when they are working on the customers. Not at all professional. Also, be forewarned: if they ask you if you would like your callouses worked on, that is NOT a free treatment, which they never tell you about until the bill arrives and you find out there is a $5 upcharge for 3 minutes of extra work....Grrrr. Not cool in my mind to get hit with these things. I may try a different place next month, as the staffer who worked on me was pretty rough and distracted most of the time she was working on me. read more

4 stars for the kind women working who greeted me warmly when walking in today. All available ladies' were busy with patrons but no one looked at me like I was crazy for wanting a polish change on my toes & hands.(mani/pedi last week somewhere else) 3 stars for the fact that it was a clean looking place but I can never go back for mani/pedi because their equipment looks outdated as all heck. It was almost like a shop from 1997. They don't have spa chairs, which to me is -2 stars. The woman who changed my polish went all out and really did a great job. She took her time and paid attention to detail. She was polite, didn't bother me with small talk which her and I wouldn't have enjoyed anyway. $12 for her services which was great since she oiled my cuticles, cleaned up my mani/pedi from last week and put my flip flops on me. It was also great to see her almost running to sanitize the items she used on me when she was finished. read more

I've been here twice and the only thing I like about this place is that they open really early and I like to start my day looking nice and pretty of course! The service is just so so nothing really special about it and the equipment is just so outdated (talk about blast from the past!) My first visit was just okay... it was just a regular mani-pedi and of course they keep on offering me to get a gel mani. The second visit was a different story though... I always like to find ideas on Pinterest and found this nice design that I want them to do... epic fail! But the girl insisted that her version is much better, and so I'm like whatever let's just finish this as I have to go to work... I wasn't totally happy about that cause I want my nails to look exactly the same as I showed them in the pic but no she insisted her version is much better (fine I guess I have bad taste - hell yeah cause I'm an idiot for going here again for the 2nd time!) I spent $40 just for that epic failure design on my manicure lol (they charge extra since it contains nail art and 3 kinds of gel nail polish) for the price I paid I'd rather go somewhere else... will not go back. read more

I went here yesterday as just a walk in, my cousin had an appointment and I was just tagging along. I ended up getting a new full set up on and a pedi. The pedi was great, lady was nice, my nails look great. The lady doing my nails told me I needed a new set, so she took off my old set as she was cutting down my under nail she keep pinching my under skin with the clippers, and it happened more than once. I kept telling her ouch that hurt. Once she started doing the filing she was going way to rough, she actually cut my finger pretty badly. Let me just say it took this lady over 2 hours to do my full set and it was the most painful set I have ever had. Also, watch out when they do there fills, the girl didn't go all the way back so it literally looks like I need a fill again. read more

It's funny I used to come here and I decided to come back thinking I would have no problems. I got a gel pedicure and I asked for a particular color, a silver glitter color. I knew SHE FUCKED UP AND WHEN I ASKED HER TO JUST CHANGE IT TO PLAIN WHITE THE BITCH TOLD ME NO. I WILL NEVER EVER GO TO THIS NAIL SHOP AGAIN. WORST NAIL EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more
