This year my mom discovered Praeder Ranch Resort. It was the perfect location for us. There are several family members with campers; the resort offers tent, partial and full sites to accommodate everyone. There is a lodge with wonderful rooms for everyone else (where we stayed). There is an indoor pool, an outdoor pool and a huge hot tub. Also offered is a game room, a great library, a gym and outdoor activities such as shuffle board, volleyball, basketball, frisbee golf, etc. We found trails to walk around to get some outdoor exercise. The lodge is well maintained and very clean; my wife and I very much enjoyed the indoor pool and sauna. Jeff and Tracy were wonderful and took good care of the entire extended family that was there. It's a little out of the way, but worth the trip. We shall definitely be back.

Our weekend was great as always, but made better by Tracy and Jeff the hosts of the ranch. They were so accommodating and friendly. We all gathered at a camp spot for meals and fun. This ranch was perfect since some camped and some not. I highly recommend the ranch for a peaceful get away or a large gathering. They really need to get the word spread out about this place.

We loved relaxing at the spa, eating at Beverly's, and renting bikes to ride around the lake. We also hiked around Tubbs Hill and explored so many great local restaurants. It honestly feels like such a magical escape from city life and the perfect destination if you're looking for outdoor activities, nature, and a slower pace to recharge.

Coeur d' Alene has been on my list as everyone says how great it is. So, a friend flew to visit over the summer and we spent 2 nights at the resort in their North Wing room. Then another friend came to visit this month, so we returned (with a much better experience). Arrival: Both visits were easy and we self parked. Be aware that there is an elevator from the parking garage to the resort and it is not the same one that will bring you to your room. Easy if you don't have a lot of stuff, but one visit I brought my dog and I could have used a luggage cart. So unload up front and then go park. Check in: Very quick. No wait. On the 2nd stay we were allowed to check in early which was nice. Rooms: North Wing- yikes. It does say on the site it is for the "value minded traveler." It shows. Summer is expensive there and since we were going to be outside the majority of the time it wasn't horrible. However, the room is much like a motel with the window facing a walkway. Ours was right next to the elevator. ugh. The inside was just okay. As others have mentioned, it could use updating. My second stay we stayed in the Lake Tower Room with double beds and fireplace and balcony. It was lovely. Nice room, beds comfortable, but the best was the view. Housekeeping: Unfortunately, both stays no one came to service the room. The Lake Tower even had a button to push when you want it serviced. We were out of the room by late morning and had the button turned on. Oh well. When I called, they did offer to service the room but we were tired and wanted to relax. One minor thing is that there is quite the push for tipping. I believe it came in an email and text. Just thought it was tacky. I've never seen that done before. Amenities: Visited the outdoor Blu pool during the summer. It was busy. My friend and I found an area that was "adults only" (not near the pool) and enjoyed the lake more than the kids in the pool crowd. Restaurants: Dined at Beverly's and Dockside. I will write separate reviews for them. All positive and will be back. The pre fixe dinner (early bird) was a great deal at Beverly's! ***Only policy I would suggest a change on is their charge for pet fee. It's one of the highest I've paid (and I've stayed at 5 star resorts) There is a DAILY $75 fee (someone said they cap at $150). I understand a fee is necessary, but I think that is a bit over the top. Our pup is crated (and prefers it) so does not require that deep level of clean other dogs might need. It might be better to have a standard reasonable fee and then charge the owner if the animal's stay requires additional cleaning.

This is not a fancy place but so comfortable. And the world's longest oatmeal breakfast bar was so delicious. It's not as fancy as a Marriott or Hilton, but you don't need that if you are just looking for a safe, convenient, and interesting place to stay! Nothing boring about Nintendos and a chalkboard to draw on in each room, a cozy fire pit, & the World's longest oatmeal bar (vegan-friendly, and you can ask for gluten-free oats, too)! The staff are all friendly and communicative via text, email, or phone! They will text you a door code if you arrive too late to check-in in person. Definitely stay here if you have dogs because this is one of the rare hotels that do not charge extra for dogs unless damage occurs! And while most hotels limit you to two dogs, we were okay with three (and we told them ahead of time)! The fire pit was a nice place to hang out with our group and doggos, and we met some nice people who were visiting with their dogs as well. You also get a free drink token upon arrival, and there are events on select nights. If you don't want to hang out at the hotel, downtown Pullman is just across the street! The hotel is on a main road, so you can hear the street starting around 6:30am, but the nights were very quiet. Because this is more of motel, there isn't daily cleaning by default and no iron or coffee amenities in each room, so just be mindful of that when planning. Parking in the main area can be a bit tight in the evenings but there is a another lot on the other side that remained mostly empty. We were even able to slow charge our EV in one of the spots. All in all, great small town hospitality experience for a great price! Way more interesting than a fancy hotel!

Nice staff and bonfires on site with complimentary "smores kits," they even give out sticks you can use to roast the marshmallows over the fire. Office is closed after 10pm, so plan accordingly. I initially gave the Stardust 3/5 stars as we drove back to our home at 2am because neither of us could sleep on the very firm and uncomfortable mattress, the pillows felt like rolled up newspapers. But I liked the overall aesthetic and vibe. However I'm lowering to 2/5 after communicating this issue to the hotel, on the phone they said they had no idea the beds were uncomfortable. Then in response to this review they informed us that the beds in the "classic rooms" are not as comfortable as the beds and pillows in the "signature rooms." If we had known this when booking we would have paid more and reserved a signature room. The owners response was to essentially blame us for booking a "cheap" room and suggest we should have somehow known their standard rooms have terrible beds. The real issue is that NO room should have mattresses so uncomfortable that guests flee the motel at 2am. The room in general was clean, would have appreciated USB chargers or at least an outlet on both bedside tables instead of just the one. If they invested in better mattresses and pillows this would have been a 5/5 star review. If they had been less tone-deaf and responded better to our issues I would have kept the review at 3/5.
