Lovely motel with all the rooms overlooking the lake. Upstairs units have kitchenettes and private balconies. Beds were comfortable. There are plenty of sitting areas in the front and a barbecue. Cathy at the front desk is friendly and helpful. We stayed here so we could bike the Trail and the bike rental was just across the street and the path very close by. Nice to get back from a day of biking and relax on our balcony overlooking the lake.

One of the best things that I have experienced in this community is the Lakeview Lodge that is right on the edge of Lake Coeur d'Alene.

This is our families first time visiting Silver Mountain resort. We were really excited to be here…read more My 7 year old loves the water park which is amazing and she rode all the slides! For adults though, it is a bit much with how loud the place is and the lack of care from staff. The furniture in the cabanas is hardly worth sitting on because all of the padding is gone. The key to the lockbox didn't work and there is no privacy. The rooms were a good size but again, the furniture is old and worn out! The room, like other reviews, was not fully cleaned. Loaded dishwasher wasn't ran, gum on a closet wall and toothpick still on the floor. Overall, if I can help it, I will not be returning.

We rented the suite for two nights and then we rented two conjoining rooms for two nights. We also paid for 10 water park tickets. Night one we get into the room and as I unpacked the groceries I noticed the fridge hadn't been cleaned. I was in a hurry so I just wiped it out with the soap and sponge they provided. I got to the table to start setting up the table cloth and found blood all over it. Next I used the bathroom and the trash can under the sink hadn't been changed. We sat down on the couch to hook up our fire stick and found a bra just lying under the corner table. The prices keep going up and up and the quality keeps going down. I am convinced they don't clean rooms. You can't miss blood, a bra, the fridge, and the trash. The waterpark no longer runs tabs. Every single time you want a cocktail you have to track down the member of your group who has the locker key so you can grab your wallet. So for a four day trip you are up and down those stairs to get to the locker non stop. They also don't do shots. So if you want to have a quick shot and then go back to the waterslides ..... you can't. You have sit there and down an entire drink. It was so much better when they ran your card and left it on file for the day. The rules keep growing and the quality is tanking.

This year my mom discovered Praeder Ranch Resort. It was the perfect location for us. There are several family members with campers; the resort offers tent, partial and full sites to accommodate everyone. There is a lodge with wonderful rooms for everyone else (where we stayed). There is an indoor pool, an outdoor pool and a huge hot tub. Also offered is a game room, a great library, a gym and outdoor activities such as shuffle board, volleyball, basketball, frisbee golf, etc. We found trails to walk around to get some outdoor exercise. The lodge is well maintained and very clean; my wife and I very much enjoyed the indoor pool and sauna. Jeff and Tracy were wonderful and took good care of the entire extended family that was there. It's a little out of the way, but worth the trip. We shall definitely be back.

Our weekend was great as always, but made better by Tracy and Jeff the hosts of the ranch. They were so accommodating and friendly. We all gathered at a camp spot for meals and fun. This ranch was perfect since some camped and some not. I highly recommend the ranch for a peaceful get away or a large gathering. They really need to get the word spread out about this place.

Nice staff and bonfires on site with complimentary "smores kits," they even give out sticks you can use to roast the marshmallows over the fire. Office is closed after 10pm, so plan accordingly. I initially gave the Stardust 3/5 stars as we drove back to our home at 2am because neither of us could sleep on the very firm and uncomfortable mattress, the pillows felt like rolled up newspapers. But I liked the overall aesthetic and vibe. However I'm lowering to 2/5 after communicating this issue to the hotel, on the phone they said they had no idea the beds were uncomfortable. Then in response to this review they informed us that the beds in the "classic rooms" are not as comfortable as the beds and pillows in the "signature rooms." If we had known this when booking we would have paid more and reserved a signature room. The owners response was to essentially blame us for booking a "cheap" room and suggest we should have somehow known their standard rooms have terrible beds. The real issue is that NO room should have mattresses so uncomfortable that guests flee the motel at 2am. The room in general was clean, would have appreciated USB chargers or at least an outlet on both bedside tables instead of just the one. If they invested in better mattresses and pillows this would have been a 5/5 star review. If they had been less tone-deaf and responded better to our issues I would have kept the review at 3/5.

They are very quick to communicate and on top of everything! The house itself is absolutely stunning with incredible detail blending historic details with modern amenities. There are extras such as a pool table, games and a hot tub; all ready for their guests to enjoy. The breakfast offered a variety of breakfast items, meeting the needs of any picky eater. (all remote & one needs to register on line to check in). Currently, the place is torn up (that is unexpected but OK). The issues were 1) room is quite dirty, 2) very noisy as there were work with plumbing and there is a new condo building next door, 3) the breakfast does not start until 9:00 AM... and only was comprised scrambled eggs with some sort of cheese and sausage and soggy potatoes. The only saving grace is that the lady at the place was friendly and location is near walkable area to the business district. Be aware that there is no A/C here (as it is an older facility). They provide a couple of heaters - one in the main room and one in the bathroom... It does take time for the one in the main room to warm up... Super cold when it was about 40ish outside...
