Three weeks later, I am still processing the experience, which was unlike any other vacation we've ever been on (far better!) . And everyone in our group felt that way. With ages ranging 9 to 73, it's not easy to find a place that everyone loves, but this place was it. Starting with the staff, every single person working at the ranch wowed us with top shelf friendly, caring, and superb service. We felt so welcomed and well taken care of. The ranch is in a beautiful setting with a peaceful atmosphere perfect for unwinding. The food was fabulous--all we could eat, fresh and homemade, with a variety that made if fun and interesting. We had a couple of picky eaters among the grandchildren, but no worries, there were always options that made even the pickiest of them happy. The adults appreciated the open bar every day, where we could get a beverage and process the day. The activities were varied, with many options but no pressure--each person could choose what they wanted to do every day. The horses are well-trained and paired perfectly with riders according to comfort level and experience, We had three cabins (one for each family) and were more than satisfied. I'd go back to Red Horse Mountain in a heartbeat!

For those who don't ride, then this is less of a five star and more likely a 4+ - still great. First of all the staff are just wonderful. Every single person we encountered was lovely, helpful, and ready to make sure we had whatever we needed. The food is outstanding. For me, having my family around the table 3 times a day and not having to prepare the food or clean up (although we did carry out our dishes to the trays to offload the staff, who work really hard) was the highlight of the week. Mealtimes are not flexible, which turned out to be brilliant, since everyone was then motivated to be in the dining room on time! I have to mention that the kitchen staff deserve many thanks. Donovan, the baker did an outstanding job, as did the chefs and the kitchen manager. The bartenders (Chelsea and Laura) were great also. The wine dinner was excellent. The cabin we stayed in was lovely and spacious. The lodge is great - lots of room. comfortable furniture, a huge deck with beautiful views and lots of chairs and tables. Speaking on behalf of the non-riders, the only disappointment came from thinking there would be many activities as alternatives to horseback riding (the website gave us that impression). Those activities actually turned out to be very carefully scheduled and limited (which is understandable given staffing needs). So if you wanted to go kayaking, you could only do it at specified times; the same with the zip line and other such activities. The pottery painting didn't happen at all because the kiln was broken when we were there. And there was no massage therapist, which some had counted on - again per the website. It's a question of managing expectations. Did we all have a great time regardless - yes, despite the granddaughter who got "eaten alive" by chiggers and is still dealing with the bites weeks later. She did love the horseback riding and the shooting however. One more thing. To fully enjoy this resort it is helpful to be physically fit!! Lots of hills and steep slopes. They do offer shuttle service to any activities for those who can't walk there, and the bar opens at 3pm.

If you do not like being next to the freeway, this campground is not for you. It did not bother us. We also take advantage of their half off rates during September. Thank you Wolf Lodge for that. Next, the campground has a lot of activities which we were not able to take advantage of. We were visiting friends in CDA and spent most of our time with them. I wish we had time borrow a canoe, hike and use the sauna. We had site number 12 a pull through with full hook ups. It is an end unit and we enjoyed it. The campsites in the center row have you facing the backside of another camper and it's hook ups. There are pull thrus, back in sites, tent sites, and adorable log cabins for rent. All sites come with a picnic table. There is a lot of shade. We felt very safe and even left our bicycles outside of our RV overnight.

Garden Spot Inn For Downtown St. Maries…read more SITREP This is centrally located Inn smack in the middle of the Hamlet of St. Maries. DINING Our family has enjoyed a great breakfast / brunch on occasion as we travel from our Fountain Bay homestead to shopping and work spots in St. Maries. LODGING SETUP & CONVENIENCE However, the St. Maries Inn is in fact an "Inn", so it also has rooms one may rent: * On a temporary basis for a short term lodging visit as one would from any hotel / motel; but, * But the Inn also allows for longer tenancy for those wanting to take up longer tenancy as with an tenancy-at-will apartment scenario. As such, the Inn is conveniently located close to several eating establishments within walking distance (ie. Buds, Drive-Thru, etc.), close to coffee (Julian's Coffee Kiosk), and the main drag of St. Maries. HISTORIC The Inn is an older, established local structure and has significant history with the area that goes back a century. THE LOWDOWN A great place to get a bite to eat and to stay.

Being more of an RV park, It seemed like a campground where most of the people bring their own entertainment (aka quads/sxs/dirt bikes). As far out as it is, there's not a lot to explore on the campgrounds. To explore you have to go out on the dirt road. They do have ping pong tables & a horseshoe pit. Most of the people staying there had dirt bikes and quads. They'd all be coming and going at times. At night, it was very quiet. They have warm showers, and a clean bathroom (clean for camping standards). To note: It's a fairly long (~9 miles) trek on a dirt road to get to the campground off of I-90. Expect your vehicle to get dirty on the way in/out. There was zero cell service (Verizon). Overall, I would recommend this campground!

We pulled our carts to the front ourselves and asked the checkout shack staff for help. The clueless blonde said she didn't know what was going on either and did not offer help. We sat there in the sun until Brooke sauntered back, we got a couple more things and checked out for $2,600+. We got a $0.20 rebate through their Rewards program. Yes, a twenty cents for $2,600+ purchase. They wouldn't even give us free delivery, so that was an extra $200. Fast forward to $200 delivery, which amounted to wind-shorn plants in the back of a pickup truck. The trunks of two $300 trees were bouncing off the tailgate where they had fallen over. One tree was near death, with the entire top covered in crunchy dead leaves, browned branches and leaves severly eaten by insects. We refused the one tree and returned to Barn and Blossom to pick out a different tree, until we were told we had to pay another $200 delivery fee. NO, WE WON'T PAY FOR THE DELIVERY TO REPLACE THE NEARLY DEAD TREE YOU TRIED TO DUMP ON US. After, $2,800+, I would have expected a basic level of courtesy the first time we were there, at least the second time, but no. There is zero service and if I could give negative stars, I would. We have alot more yard to landscape and it won't be through Barn and Blossom. The response from Barn and Blossom's owner was, "We are glad you won't be coming back as you are not welcome." WOW! This place is amazing! Our residential architecture company traveled to Coeur d'Alene for…read moresoftware training and stumbled upon this gem! The pictures do not do justice for this spectacular home. The location of the house was in a perfect location. Convenient to the Interstate as well as to the Downtown area and lake. Everything we needed was in a short walk or drive. The neighborhood was a beautiful collection of modernized craftsman homes and everything was manicured to perfection. Lisa was extremely responsive to anything we needed (like a place to eat or grab a coffee). She was always in constant communication with check-in and check-out, as well as checking in to see how our stay was. The house has EVERYTHING! There was nothing that we wanted that we could not find in the home. There were plenty of towels. The washing machine was pre-loaded with soap for washing a few clothes. The kitchen was stocked and everything was labeled. All high quality items in this house, from the quality of linens to the All Clad cookware. Everything seemed brand new. The house was laid out perfectly over three floors. The bottom floor had two bedrooms, a huge living area with a 85" tv and another game room, along with a nicely sized bathroom with a 4' countertop. The main floor was vast. It contained a master suite and bathroom that belonged as the feature story in a Kitchen & Bath magazine. The Kitchen belonged on the cover of the same magazine. The colors and materials were picked perfectly! There was a spacious laundry room on this floor as well as a dining table that comfortably would seat 10. There was also a spacious living room for relaxing and carrying on a conversation as well as a powder bath. The upstairs had three bedrooms and two baths. One was a en-suite and the other a hall bath that was just outside the two bedrooms. There was a lovely lounging area at the top of the stairs as well. To top it all off, their was an upstairs covered balcony that had beautiful views of Coeur d'Alene. This was an absolute jewel in a beautiful city. I can't recommend this place enough. You will not be disappointed if you rent this for your next multi-family vacation, corporate retreat or just a luxurious trip out of town!
