I have been going to a great number of Auto Repair Shops in the Valley over the past two decades and most of them provide extremely poor service and really made me feel like they could care less if I was there or if I ever returned. In just the past five years I have finally found one (Sun Devil Auto) that in my opinion is honest, fair, reasonable, and maintain a service staff that is both Professional, courteous and really go out of the way for you, even when they really do not have to. Recently I took my wife's 'vintage' Ford ZX2 into the Chandler Shop for some air conditioning work. Not knowing if the system just needed a recharge or full replacement, I left it up to the Service Team to decide. Inititally they decided to recharge the system and suggested checking the system in a week for leaks. The system blew cold for about a day or so, so we arranged to take it back in for a replacement. The work was performed, but inside of a few days, the replaced system was not working up to our expectation. We called the shop and they were very apologetic and compassionate and asked us to bring it back in and to let them have it for a few days. My wife works, she could not be without transportation, so they graciously and quickly called a local Car Rental Company and got her a car within the hour. A few days later, we picked up our car and it has been keeping us cool ever since. You simply do not see this calibre of service from Companies today, they are more interested in immediate margins instead of lifetime Customers. As for us, as long as Sun Devil Auto continues to hire and keep Service Professionals like Jeremy Wingerter and his Staff, they can be assured we will be their Customers for life. read more

Beware! All the smiles and courteous behavior is only to get you through the door, It is only lip service!!! First they charged me $100 for a part that on the high in was only $60.00, that wasn't ok but I paid it anyway, although I knew what the part cost. Second, thinking my car was fixed ! I drive off only to turn around because it doesn't! (I'm sure they knew this before I drove off, it's suppose to blow!!) Great customer service, right!? Jeremy and Travis!! Thirdly, they put the "new" part in incorrectly, I know this because, I can smell a rat (Travis and Jeremy) and took my car back to where it was originally diagnosed, and they put it in properly. In addition , while there I tried to tell Jeremy that I had the car already diagnosed (had the paperwork to prove it) and I knew exactly what was wrong he proceeded in trying to charge me an additional $105.00 to do another diagnostic on my car to go toward anymore work that is done on the vehicle, of course. Never mind that their website proudly displays an AC performance inspection for $14.95. You should be ashamed of yourself! Ponder this Sun Devil Auto, If you did honest business and had honest employees and was truly about Great Customer Service, and not just lip service, you would have repeat customers. read more

Worst place ever, I went there because they had a free AC check, they told me that the system on my car was too sophisticated and had to take the dash apart, they told me it would be 105 dollars for the check and after that it could go toward repairs or Freon recharge, so I decided to go with it, BIG mistake. After doing the "AC Check" (which I doubt they ever did), they called me and told me that I needed a COMPLETE AC kit, they stated that it was 1600 dollars and that I could get it financed, after telling them that there was no way I was going to pay that I asked them to just recharge the Freon, but they told me that it is not possible because my AC compressor had shattered and broken all the hoses around it and that freon would leak right out, so I decided to pick up my car and go check out another place, they recharged the freon, and the car is blowing ice cold air!!!! And still working after 2 months! I decided to call these guys to get my money back because they clearly just wanted to rip me off and they told me that they could not get me my money back because I wrote a bad review about them!!!!! THESE GUYS ARE BAD AND JUST WANT TO TAKE YOUR MONEY! Stay away!!!!! read more

I had all my struts replaced on my Honda CR-V from this shop. After about 2 months or so, my car started making squeaking noise when driving. The struts were under lifetime warranty so I took it back to have it inspected and to make sure it was not the new struts. However, these guys said my car is just too old (2004 lightly driven Honda CR-V). They assured me it was the age of my car and not the new struts. Prior to the new struts, my car was not making squeaking noise. So the next year or so, I had to live with these squeaking noise and I just accepted the fact that my car is just too old. Today, I had another issue and had to take my car to another mechanic. One of the complaints I had was the squeaky noise. To make a long story short, it turns out that the front driver side strut was defective. As I did not want to go back to Sun Devil any more for trust issues, and that this is a safety issue, I elected to have the struts replaced by this new mechanic. Lo and behold, the squeaks are gone and my car drove like new again. I will not be giving my business to Sun Devil Auto again. And so are my family and friends. read more

I went to Sun Devil Auto on afternoon when I got off work.... I wanted them to check my car for a transmssion problem. Well I spoke with Jeremy and he was just great. I did not have a lot of money and told Jeremy I may not be able to afford the cost to fix my car. He gave me a couple of options they offer. He was so professional and very helpful....I was so stupid I went to AAMCO (WRONG) very bad decision...Called Jeremy back to see if they would be able to fix my car....He remembered me and told me that he would work with me and he sure did...They worked with me as far as paying the cost, which really helped me...They were just wonderful....I can't say enough about the whole team and the great experience I had at Sun Devil Auto in Chandler. The manager 'Jeremy' could have the worst customer service skill I have ever seen. When installing a part on my vehicle, one of the mechanics damaged another portion of my new car causing an engine light to appear. I found this out after taking my vehicle to another shop who said that was what most likely happened. I took my car back to have them replace the part, they were not happy at all and would hardly speak to me until it was finished. **The next day another engine light went on, so I took the car back and kindly asked for further assistance. After arriving, Jeremy stated: he is "done with me" and that "I need to leave before he calls the police", I was baffled by how he spoke me and left.** Come to find out after taking my car to yet another shop, there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. A disaster could have been avoided by simply taking the time to look at my car and explain what is happening. This shop deserves 0 stars, I feel terrible for some of the mechanics and patrons there because of how horrendous the management is. read more

As an elderly female I have had my share of experiences with the stereotypical mechanics, so when my sentra needed repairs I took it to the Chandler Sun Devil shop because a very close friend of mine recommended the store. He raved about their great customer service and especially the manager Jeremy. My experience was all that and then some. Jeremy explained the problem with my car in Lady language, he was patient and didn't mind the silly questions I had. I was so impressed that I have taken my vehicles to him for oil changes, and everything else. Since then my entire family has been using Jeremy as their personal mechanic because that is how we feel about him. My oldest son has taken his tacoma there, another family member had his pathfinder towed all the way from North Phoenix to Jeremy's all because of our testimony. Oil change to body work... Jeremy has always been able to accommodate to my working schedule, able to give me the best advice on my car, and making sure I'm going to be safe in my car. Jeremy and his team always make my experience more than just good, being able to walk out the door knowing I'm going to be safe in my car on the road is the best feeling. Customer service here is superb. Here it feels like family! I moved here 2 summers ago and I had a used and old Nissan Rogue. Air conditioning was not working, needed oil changes, and had experienced my first flat tire. Coming from NY and not knowing where to go or who to trust at an auto body shop because truthfully everyone just wants many and say you need something when you don't. We drive 2003 Honda Pilot, and recently we were experiencing transmission issues since August. We got the vehicle checked out at, and yes indeed it needed transmission rebuild. I did extensive research online on the cost, and quality of work. Sun Devil ranks at the top for transmission repair. I worked with William and Jeremy at the shop. I needed the car back in 4 days due to our planned trip to LA. They gave me ride back to my home, and in 4 days, the Pilot was ready, on time. In fact, despite being booked heavily, their team prioritized my work, stayed late till 6:30pm to ensure I get my Pilot done on time and fully tested. With confidence I drove off to LA the same evening with my family. We have become big fan of Sun Devil Auto. I can not rave enough about Jeremy and his team!! They have taken great care of my family and they are the only auto shop we will use ever again. No matter the time, they can always squeeze us in for last minute oil changes or fix a tire that happens to have a nail. My most recent trip was Friday, late afternoon, for an oil change. Jeremy caught that my struts needed replaced and that my tires were wearing poorly. He worked with my extended warranty to cover both the front and back struts and an alignment. He had parts ordered, delivered, and had my car finished by Saturday early afternoon. Unfortunately, my son had a volleyball tournament that day so I was unable to pick up my car by 5 P.M. when they closed so Jeremy and one of his team members personally delivered my car to my house. Sun Devil Auto #22, located in Chandler. My wife and I used the services from this location on several occasions for oil changes on our vehicles. On my last visit I was informed of an oil leak from the tech and he suggested I have it looked at my dealership as it is under warranty. After a diagnosis was completed by the dealership, it was concluded my oil pan drain was stripped and required replacement. Given the fact that Sun Devil Auto was responsible for the last 3 oil changes, it's safe to say they are responsible for damages. I approached the service manager (Jeremy Wingerter) with these facts and his response basically was, it is not his responsibility for said damages. Absolutely NO customer service and/or accountability. I would highly consider your options before using this corrupted organization. read more

They are incredible...I drive 30-40min out of my way just to go to this location, because as a female, I have met my share of dishonest mechanics! Jeremy and Corey are incredible and have helped me in a couple really tight spots with car stuff! Jeremy has always been a 100% honest with me about what really needs to be done for my safety and what is not a big deal and can wait and always tries to save me money on any repairs I have. I been going to Sun Devil Auto for years and they have never let me down and continue to surprise me with their excellent service each and every time. My car died on me on the road and after towing it to sundevil auto they found the issue right away and fixed it along with a quick tire change since they were worn out. Something did unexpected came up, the PCM chip for my car was also bad and a dire need of replacement and the car also died on me as soon as I left. Sundevil auto threw in the chip replacement for free of charge (a 900 dollar value). These guys will always have my trust and business. read more

I have been to Sun Devil for oil changes, a random check engine light and most recently I had AC problems. I first came to Sun Devil 2012 due to another shop messing up a transmission change and using the wrong pan gasket. Jeremy provided the best costumer care by having my car towed in and getting me a rental car to go to work asap.
