Great dudes got my truck up and running again made it seem simple changing the vvt solenoid.

I called on a Saturday morning to get an estimate on my squeaky brakes. I just had new ones put in back in April, so idk... BB also needed an oil change. Mike answered the phone and made my 2 pm appointment. First off, you should know that this place is a HOME. Dude runs the business from his home, and I'm sure he's certified, licensed and all that, but it was pretty awkward pulling up to a neighborhood. Once I parked on the driveway, I rang the doorbell on the front door and Mike came around the garage. I explained what the issues were and he said he would call me to let me know what needed to be done if anything. I do appreciate the fact that they thoroughly assess your vehicle and call to give you an estimate before performing any work. I was desperate to get it done because B.B. is my only ride. I don't have the luxury of switching vehicles like some people do (maybe one day again.. lol). I ended up walking home since it was literally a few blocks away and they didn't have any kind of lobby or waiting area. Mike called within a half hour to tell me he didn't hear the brakes squeaking and that they were fine. I also mentioned the oil change and when he gave me the estimate, my jaw kind of dropped to the floor. He quoted me over $200 for the oil change, air filter and cabin filters changes. I'm not auto expert, but that seemed pretty damn high. I get that I drive a V8 but daaaamn!! At that point, I didn't gaf because I had to walk in the slight rain to get it back. I wanted it done so I approved it and he got to work. He and his associate completed the work in about 45 minutes so they are quite efficient! I was satisfied with the work, but I won't be returning. I know I can do the filters myself but like I said, I was just wanting it all done in one stop. Also, to note, they are moving out to I believe East Mesa I think it was. I overheard him telling another customer as he was leaving. I'm not sure if he has overhead costs but even with the military discount I asked about, I still paid $240!!! Smh. If $120 for labor is standard for having my vehicle for under an hour, then I guess there's value in what I paid?! Oh well, it is what it is and the work was done well. Lesson learned. Damsel in distress will do research and plan accordingly for my next automotive needs. read more

Innovative Automotive - Auto Repair Near Me - Tempe, Arizona

Andrew was helpful and fair and honest. I will definitely use this service again and recommend them.

If you are taking your vehicle anywhere other than Innovative Automotive, you are probably overpaying. Period. Michael and Alex just worked on my locksmith van AGAIN and the experience was on a completely different level than the average mechanic shop. They replaced my motor mounts, did all of the brakes, and had everything finished exceptionally fast. No delays. No runaround. No inflated invoice. Now here's the part that really matters. They tested and charged my AC and found a loose hose. Most shops would have told me I needed parts. Most shops would have padded the bill. They didn't. They fixed the loose hose properly and did not charge me for something that didn't need replacing. That kind of honesty is rare. And when you run a business with fleet vehicles like I do, honesty is everything. Their pricing was far below what most shops in the area would have charged, and the quality of work was top tier. Clean, efficient, and done right the first time. From this point forward, every one of my fleet vehicles and my personal vehicles are going to Innovative Automotive. They earned that loyalty. If you value speed, real integrity, and pricing that doesn't feel like a punch to the wallet, stop shopping around. Call them. Book the work. You are wasting money anywhere else. Innovative Automotive is the real deal. read more

I needed to have my rear brakes/rotors replaced as well as my serpentine belt on my Mazda CX5. I was going to go to my usual shop but boyfriend found this place on Yelp. Mike was very responsive and was able to get us in next day. He is also friendly in person and knows what he is doing. He did a check of my whole car and even made some recommendations on services that could help with the longevity of my car without making me feel pressured. Not to mention the prices are fair and I saved around $300 compared to my initial shop. I'm glad we found Mike and Innovative Automotive, and will be returning for any future car needs. Don't hesitate to reach out to him, you won't regret it. read more

I went to them after a check engine light came on in my car and he topped off my oil for free so I could get to the Kia dealership without breaking down because it was an bad engine problem that was on recall due to oil issues. I have a 2007 Toyota RAV4 which I'm trying to squeeze another couple years out of. They got me in pretty quickly, assessed my car, gave suggestions, and had it fixed up by the end of the day. My car now rides better, safer, and quieter because of these guys, all for a smaller price than what most shops would charge. I am a happy customer and will be returning with my business again. Thanks again guys! read more

These guys replaced the motor mounts on my GMC Sierra at a much better rate than the dealership and nearby repair shop quoted me. They did a quality job and got it done the same day. We have a 2005 Mazda 6 that needed everything under the hood replaced, including radiator, engine, clutch, and everything else that goes along with that. After weeks of searching, I found a low mileage engine with a very good warranty from an engine replacement shop. Long story short, the car was not running after the other shop did their work and also had it towed to yet another place to get a catalytic converter replaced. The other shop blamed it on me for not getting the long list of "recommended services" that would cost an additional $3,000. When I asked them to finish what they started they basically told me that since I didn't have them complete all their "recommended services" initially, I'd have to wait a couple of weeks for them to squeeze me in. Everything they listed as "recommended" should have been included in the work they did. I called Mike at Innovative Automotive with the tow truck on the way, and he told me to bring it right over. He took one look under the hood and spotted just about everything that was botched by the other shop. They had smashed a steel brake line that was leaking in addition to a long list of other things. Since the car is so old, no parts companies carried the brake line needed so they scoured junk yards and drove over to pick one up on a Saturday. The car came back to us purring like a brand-new kitten. We have total peace of mind that this old car is good as new now that Innovative Automotive has completed it. They are honest, hardworking and do excellent work. They are very patient and provided excellent communication along the way. Needless to say, I will definitely come back to them for all our car care needs and will pass their name along to anyone looking for an excellent, honest Automotive Repair shop. I highly recommend this shop!! read more

I recently took my Jeep here for service. They were honest, communicative, quick, and incredibly friendly. It's rare to find such a trustworthy mechanic these days. Highly recommend! read more

Had some major engine work done that required the removal of the transmission. Fast quote response, easy scheduling, they did the work same day, great price, called when done. It was a very pleasant experience all around. It's been a month or so and everything seems to be working well since the repair. Most pleasant automotive repair experience I've had in a long time. read more

My car was having electrical issues and wouldn't start. I called around and no shop could get me due to it being a holiday weekend. I found Innovative Automotive through a local community Facebook group and hit them up. Not only did they say they could help me out, Micheal came to my house first thing in the morning the next day. He diagnosed the problem to be my alternator, and replaced it that day. He gave a very fair price for parts and labor. I've decided he's my go to mechanic for both mine and my wife's cars. read more

Hard to find honest and trustworthy auto shops in the valley these days! These guys took care of my car in no time! Great and high quality service! Highly recommend this shop! I'll be back! read more

I reached out to Mike after having such a great experience the first time ** (he had repaired another vehicle of mine, he came onsite to my house and did the diagnosis and that alone; being mobile, I knew I'd use him again)** But this time around,my SUV ended up needing a new starter. Upon arriving I met Mike and he introduced me to another mechanic with him; Alex. Their energy together was great and they made me feel so comfortable right when I got there. They had me in and out the same day in 3 hours! They ordered and had the part delivered within 10 minutes of me arriving and diagnosing the car, I was their 6th job that day (the efficiency of their work speaks volumes) The communication and customer service cant be emphasized enough. The pricing was fair and has been anytime I've worked with Mike. So much more AFFORDABLE then the corporate shops. I am so grateful to have found Mike and Alex, I will NOT take my car anywhere else. I've already started telling my friends and family; this is where we are going from now on. read more

Got me in and out same day for AC. Very down to earth and knowledgeable. Will be back for other repairs when they come up.

Repeatedly impressed with not only Innovative Automotive's work, but also their customer service! Mike & team have been our go to mechanic for our entire family and friends that we know that end up needing work for the last few months, and we've all been continuously satisfied. A trustworthy mechanic is really important and can be hard to come by, but the guys here continue to go above and beyond. Highly recommend! read more

I have had amazing service with Innovative Automotive! Not only do they do the job right, but they also use quality parts. They've worked on several cars and trucks I own and have done outstanding work each time. They're honestly the best mechanics I've ever hired, and I will continue to use them for any automotive issue that may come up. I feel confident when I pick up my vehicle that the work was done correctly. During this economy, it's imperative to have quality mechanics to extend the life of your vehicle and these gentlemen will not disappoint. They are truly outstanding at their craft. Innovative Automotive replaced the control arms on my 2014 Honda Odyssey for about half the cost of what the dealer quoted. They also identified that some work that the dealer had claimed to have done was not done properly, fixed the problem, and gave me the pictures I needed to go back to the dealership and get refunded for the incomplete work (over $700). Mike at Innovative was very communicative, clear and professional. I have recommended them to family and friends and they have won my business for all future repairs I need. Low overhead, skilled mechanic, good guys, good price! read more

Great service and they know what they are doing. Kept me up to date with pricing and any problems they may have run across during the full inspections of the auction cars we took over. We've taken probably 6 different cars over to these guys and gotten everything back in great running condition (except for the motor I didn't want to replace) but that's on me. Great service ,fast service and they give you ALL the info you need . read more

I got stuck trying to replace the timing belt on my minivan and needed help (I had to tow it there). Normally a shop wouldn't touch something that is already taken apart but Mike had the problem identified and put back together in only 1 day and for a real good price. Since that went well I decided to have the clutch replaced on my other car and that was also done in one day. He even sent pictures throughout the day to keep me posted. He didn't try to sell me unnecessary repairs which is something I am always skeptical of. read more
