I've been to China Chili three times now, so I can safely say it's my favorite Chinese restaurant…read morein town. On my most recent visit, I stopped by on a Friday evening for dinner. They have complimentary parking in the front, side, and back of the restaurant. There aren't a ton of spots, but there's street parking close by too. Ambiance (3.5/5): Like most Chinese restaurants, China Chili is pretty no frills. Which isn't a problem for me at all, I'm there for the food. It's a spacious restaurant with both regular tables and circular tables that rotates (good for large groups sharing dishes). Service (4/5): Fantastic service is also not something I expect at a Chinese restaurant. Yet again, I'm there for the food. With that being said, service, while not overly friendly, is typically pretty efficient. Which I always appreciate. Drinks (4/5): Pretty much your standard soft drinks, tea, and a limited selection of alcoholic beverages. My favorite option is their buddha beer which you don't see in a lot of places. It's a lager and it's in a buddha-shaped bottle. It doesn't get much better than that. Food (5/5): The first time I came was for one of my favorite dishes... Peking duck. There aren't a ton of spots in Phoenix that have it, but out of the ones that do, China Chili serves it at a high level. You can go with either crepes or baos (additional surcharge). The duck is absolutely to die for. Flavorful, juicy meat with crispy skin that fits in perfectly into your mini "sandwich" with green onions and Hoisin sauce. For a reasonable price too. Their food outside of duck is of a similar quality. I especially like their flat noodles with beef. Even classic dishes like sesame chicken have a twist here. It's sliced chicken rather than fully breaded chicken. Just as good as the typical way, the sauce is delicious. My only complaint? They give you a pretty small helping of white rice with your dish. Outside of that, the portions are generous. Everything I've had at China Chili has been a hit. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

There aren't many places in Phoenix that serve duck this neatly like in my photo, and I appreciate that it's not another chain restaurant. I spent over $50 on food, and the quality was extremely disappointing. The General Tso's chicken was basically nothing but breaded chicken pieces -- no vegetables and barely any sauce. The Orange Chicken was also dry and lacked sauce, making both dishes bland and unappetizing. To make matters worse, each entrée is supposed to come with rice, yet only a very small portion was provided. At this point, it feels like this restaurant is cutting corners and poorly managed. I'm generally not someone who leaves negative reviews, but the lack of care, consistency, and food quality is impossible to ignore. This was my last time giving this establishment my hard-earned money. I'd rather spend it somewhere that values its customers and takes pride in the food they serve.

The portion size is huge for the price. The chicken was tender with a balanced savory flavor not too sweet or spicy, though not crunchy. The fried rice was seasoned, but ended up tasting a little plain on its own. Overall, the food and speed are solid, but the building exterior looks pretty rundown and could really use some love. Because of that and the fact that I live 30 minutes away, it's not a spot I'd make a long drive for, but calling ahead makes it a great, quick takeout option if you're right in the neighborhood.

Gotta support local when you can I say! The menu is pretty basic and has all your typical options for Americanized Chinese food. Wanting to get something that had noodles in it, I opted for the combination #1 which has chow mein crispy noodles, pork fried rice, and two tempura shrimp. Quite a lot of food and for a very reasonable price! I think the combo was around $10. If you are a fan of bean sprouts, this is your place. The chow mein had a massive pile of beansprouts on top. The noodles were indeed crispy but they was such a meager portion compared to the beansprouts. The fried rice was pretty basic but also a generous portion and the two tempura shrimp had a nice crispy batter. I tried some of the eggroll too which is one of the most unique versions I've had since the super crispy outer layer was either a different preparation or different wrap material than I'm used to. The interior was made primarily of beansprouts too. Service was good. Our food was prepared fairly quickly.

I ordered from Sun Asian Kitchen on DoorDash without really knowing what to expect, and it turned out to be a great surprise! The sushi was excellent- fresh and flavorful. I also tried the twice-cooked chicken, which was tasty, though the only minor issue was that the super hot fried chicken was packed directly into the to-go container, making it soggy. Luckily, a quick trip through the air fryer made it good as new. The portions were awesome- very generous. I even had enough leftovers for both lunch and dinner the next day, and honestly, the flavors were even better as leftovers. Overall, a solid spot for takeout with great sushi, tasty dishes, and plenty of food for the price. Definitely worth trying! read more

She replied, "All of them". I guess I wasn't really paying attention at the time, or maybe I was just thinking about all the veggies I was used to. Either way, I wasn't prepared for what I got. The food came out slowly, and I was hoping they forgot about the potstickers. . . lol. . . they didn't As always, I tried to eat all the shrimp first, because fried shrimp does not heat well in the microwave, and I didn't want the room to smell fishy. The shrimp was hot and crispy, but some of it wasn't clean. The potstickers looked burnt, and I think I only ate 1 or 2. I took the rest back to the hotel, hoping they would taste better later in the week. To my surprise, they did. Now for my favorite thing. . . egg foo young. These three huge patties were brought to the table, and I thought to myself, "What the heck is that?" I tell you, when she said ALL the veggies, she meant ALL the veggies. There was broccoli, onions, celery, mushrooms, I think a carrot, maybe zucchini (don't remember, so maybe not). I picked through everything looking for bean sprouts (I don't think I found any). I probably ate 1/4 of one and took the rest with me. I didn't get to eat the egg foo young. I was approached by an unhoused individual asking for money. I didn't have any cash and offered him the food. I hope he enjoyed it. There were things people were ordering that looked really good.
