As others have said, Felipe is a responsible and professional business owner. His crew of 3 worked quickly and efficiently, and I particularly appreciated them for the nice clean-up afterwards. read more

Felipe and his crew are amazing, reasonably priced and very professional in all aspects of their service.I called two other companies prior to contacting Felipe, one neglected to show up to give me a bid and the other was extremely expensive and could not even consider the job for 2 to 3 weeks out. I had 9 smaller to medium trees cut down and 3 thinned and trimmed. They did a fantastic job and they cleaned up completely. My yard looks great! I will be using Felipe and his team again to trim my cypress trees in the near future. I will recommend him highly to anyone I hear of that needs tree service. Jim - South S.J. read more

Returned phone call promptly. Best quote. Came early to remove pine tree between 2 mobile homes (close quarters) with a large limb looked to be resting on my roof. Cleaned up well. And no damage to my roof. read more

Just had them do another job at my house. I had two large overgrown Ficus trees and thought it would be cool to have the canopy formed into an arch. Felipe came out and gave me a very reasonable estimate. Sent one of his guys out, and he spent over 3 hours on the job. it came out better than I ever expected. looks fuckin classy. read more

Had a large tree removed and the stump ground. Excellent job. On time and very professional. Good price.

Felipe and crew removed a very large pine tree from my yard. The tree was between two power lines and close to 2 houses. His team skillfully removed the tree one branch at a time. I was amazed at how quickly they removed the tree. Reasonably priced and highly recommended... read more

5 Stars for these guys (Felipe). Felipe showed up on a Saturday to quote a tree trim and the task was completed by the following week. He was professional, efficient and competitively priced. Nothing was left behind for street cleanup either. Wonderful service. I plan on using Felipe for all my tree trimming needs. read more

We were extremely pleased with the job Felipe and his crew did on our property this spring. They pruned our trees to perfection i.e. opened them up to absorb more light and shaped them beautifully. They also cleared the property of branches etc and left it very neat (which I have not experienced before). Without a doubt they did the best work on our trees to date. Maureen B read more

I had a large cedar deodar die in my back yard and it was right next to my house. It was about 48years old, 78" in diameter, and 80ft. tall. A big tree to cut down without damaging my house. Summit tree service was one of 5 bids I received and I chose to go with them. They were fully licensed, bonded and gave me the best deal. They cut down my tree, ground the stump and hauled the wood away. All in very short time. The crew was friendly and very hard working. Nice Job guys, I'll definitely call on you next time I need more tree work. read more

Felipe and his team did a great job of trimming and cutting many trees for our home in Saratoga. They arrived on time and cleaned up well after work was completed. When the time comes for tree trimming, then look no further. Summit provided the utmost care and execution to the task at hand. Their work to price ratio is the best in the valley. Felipe and crew worked hard and left my grounds better than before. Five Stars !!! read more

Felipe was referred to me by our neighbor, who had worked with him on tree removal. I needed deep pruning with 2 of my large oaks. Felipe was highly professional and managed his crew of tree climbers from start to finish. They did a beautiful job with my oaks and I'm delighted to be able to "see the sky" again through the trees. His pricing was very reasonable. They cleaned up well and did the job on time, as predicted. I highly recommend their work. read more

We have used Felipe and his crew twice over the past few years to remove some trees in our yard. They did a great job both times. Felipe and his crew showed up on time, did the job as discussed, and left the yard as they found it (minus the trees). As repeat customers, we would call them again for future jobs. read more

This company is fantastic!!! I live in Palo Alto and I needed to have 2 palm trees trimmed and not only did Felipe give me an AWESOME price to trim them, his crew was especially careful not to damage my garden. Other tree trimmers have destroyed all of the roses and other bushes near my palm trees when they trimmed them. Not one single plant was damaged. They cleaned everything very thoroughly. They were courteous and extremely professional. Best tree trimmers I have ever used and I highly recommend them! I will be using them always from this point forward. read more

With great help from Felipe and his 3-man crew, today we got all fruit trees pruned - nectarine, lemon, pear, peach, orange; hedge bushes, Japanese maple and other plants trimmed; and an outgrowing vicious palm tree removed! We love gardening but overfilled the yards for years. Now gardening has become challenging and in fact chaotics sometimes. Thankfully, after reading the Yelp reviews, we got good tips, received several onsite estimates and selected Felipe and his crew! Felipe responded promptly to my call and showed up the next day, Saturday 9 AM (before taking his son to a soccer game), gave me a short but straight to the point estimate on Sunday. When I asked for a QUICK service date (imaging all fruits already started blooming), Felipe worked my request in with their Monday schedule, Today! The three man crew teamed up perfectly. They took turns - one trimmed, one topped, then one would assist and clean! They were calm, paying attention to details, enjoying the art work they were doing. The most appreciated - they were cautious not to step on, damage the garden plants, even moved the pots around for assurance. They cleaned up well at the end! Felipe was professional and thorough. He demonstrated his trust worthy work attitude with a practical pleasant outcome. And he charged us a very fair competitive rate. I asked Felipe to help maintain our fruit and citrus trees annually. We will have Felipe and his team return next January and more years to come! P.S. I had got additional business cards - so to give to relatives and friends who also crying out loud for tree service help! read more

We hired Summit Tree Service to remove six large palm trees from our home. One of them was over 20 feet tall and was located less then five feet from the side of our house. Mr. Felipe Mecina of Summit Tree Service did outstanding work. In less then one day, they chopped down all the trees, ground the stumps, cut up each tree in small enough sections for the city recycling truck to pick up, and placed it all on the curb for pick up tomorrow. Mr. Mecina returned all my telephone calls in a timely manner, was on time, and personally oversaw his crew. He answered all my many questions and provided proof of insurance and workman's comp for his workers. His bid was very reasonable and considerably lower then some others I received for the same job. I am looking forward to hiring him again for more tree removal and tree trimming jobs on our house. read more

Had work done by Felipe and his team. The job started out to be a major pruning and shaping of my neighbors tree that extends beyond the fence line. My neighbors ended up wanting the tree removed which Felipe and his team did. The work was done to expectations and beyond. The crew was neat and both yards were cleaned at the end of the removal. Thanks Felipe! read more

Forget about doing business with Felipe. Totally irresponsible. I requested a quote from him, then he texted me saying: "i will be there this evening" , then i waited 4 days , he never showed up. I reminded him and he replied : "????" , he could care less about doing business. read more

We had an overgrown alder tree in front of our house that needed a clean up job BADLY! After getting 3 bids and a bad experience with an extremely flakey "tree expert", I found Felipe on Yelp. I sent an email through his website, he promptly called me the following AM to set up a time to meet. We met later that same day, agreed on a reasonable price, and he promised to come out the next day with his crew to raise and trim the canopy of our tree and remove the suckers from the interior. They did a wonderful job, in a timely manner and removed all of the major trimmings. We highly recommend Felipe and his team and would use them again. read more

I was VERY impressed with Felipe and his crew. They inspected my yard, quoted the job very thoroughly, then turned up on time to do the work. The crew did an excellent job removing two dead trees in our back yard and trimming seven huge cypress trees in the front. Their prices are very reasonable for the high quality of work that they do. Will call them again for sure! read more

I've contacted Summit Tree Service after some other contractor refused to do the job. I've needed to trim few trees that were blocking the view. I've also needed to coordinate everything with the neighbor as some of the tree's were growing on her side. Felipe was very patient when I was calling him several times with appointment time change. He arrived on weekend to do the estimate which was very convenient for me. They did all the job in 5 hours and they cleaned both yards after themselves. I've also asked them to remove a dead tree which they did in parallel with all the trimming. I was very impressed with their attention to details. They not only removed the roots and leveled the soil but also put all the sprinkles back to the original place. The trees look great right now. I didn't get any complains from the neighbor so I assume she is happy with the job they did too. read more

I have a Redwood Tree in my back yard that has never been trimmed since I bought the house in 1997. However, the reason I called Summit was for another tree that was pulling on my neighbors telephone wire. Turns out that tree had a major crack that I never noticed and needed serious help! Felipe was VERY responsive to my initial call and scheduled an appointment immediately. Once here, I had him look at both trees and he had a quote to me later that evening!! Felipe was great to work with and had a crew at my place the same week to trim both trees!! FANTASTIC work and I am thrilled at the results!! Felipe and his team are amazing and I would VERY highly recommend them to anyone!! read more

Reasonable price. They finished the job within estimated time frame. Thanks Felipe & team! read more

These guys are awesome. I had a dead oak that I really wasn't in a hurry to spend money on. But I started making calls on a Thursday morning. Other places I called generally went to voicemail, some of them weren't even personalized so I had no idea if I even had the right number. Then I got to Summit. Felipe answered right away from his cell phone. Said he was on the way to another job, could he swing by after? Sure. He was there inside an hour. A very reasonable quote and scheduled it for the following Monday. Wow that was quick! Some of the other places I called either didn't call back or were calling back 72 hours later; what a different experience: Summit vs the other guys in town. The following Monday Felipe and his crew rolled up to the minute promised at 830. Got right to work, two guys professionally set up with ropes, hard hats, chainsaws, a chipper truck, etc, and had the whole thing dismantled in about 90 mins, cleaned and in the truck out of there 90 mins later. I was really impressed. Nice work. read more
