Aztec Tree Service exceeded our expectations! We had a huge tree in our front yard that needed to be cut back, and they did an outstanding job! They were professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and took great pride in their work. They genuinely cared about making sure everything looked its best. Our tree looks amazing, and they left our yard spotless when they were finished. Thank you to Alberto and his team for your hard work and professionalism. Highly recommend! read more

They are a scam. Run away from them. They will give you a very good price but will damage everything and cover it up, take the check and then run. Here is my experience: 1. They were supposed to remove the tree and the stump. They removed them and then covered the stump with a big pile of wood chips and verbally told me that they completely removed the stump. A few days later I removed the wood chips and noticed that they only removed the top of the stump and most of it is remaining. 2. I noticed a few pavers underneath the tree got broken. See the images. 3. They cut a low voltage electric line i had for powering my backyard lights. read more

Excellent communication & very professional I contacted Aztec Tree Service for a large tree stump removal. He was very responsive, gave me a clear and fair estimate, and was honest about the scope of work. Although he ultimately couldn't complete the job as scheduled due to unexpected equipment issues, he communicated promptly and professionally, which I really appreciated. Based on his transparency, responsiveness, and professionalism, I would not hesitate to contact him again or recommend him to others. Reliable communication is rare, and that alone speaks volumes. read more

Excellent communication and great, knowledgeable team. Alberto helped with our annual trimming for Apple Tree. He provided clear estimate and got the job done on time and with great quality. Honestly, it's sad to see such a negative comment from Gregory M. about this company, especially coming from an adult. My experience was completely the opposite. The service I received was excellent -- professional, careful, and respectful at all times. The crew worked with safety as their top priority, always attentive to details and to the well-being of everyone present. They handled the job with precision, lowering every log and branch slowly and safely without causing any damage. I felt comfortable the entire time. The owner, a courteous man introduced himself right away and made sure to ask permission before entering my yard. He was respectful, professional, and very easy to work with. I couldn't be happier with the results. This company is reliable, safe, and I highly recommend hiring them. read more

Don't use this company! They gave an estimate, the estimator saw that the tree had power lines near it. On the day, they arrived to cut the tree they refused to do the work based on the initial estimate. This is one of the most unethical companies, I have every dealt with. read more

Highly recommend Aztec Tree Service! I had a huge Camphor tree stump that had uprooted and overgrown part of our patio. Alberto and his team took great care to remove the cement and brick with a jackhammer, while carefully cutting away at the root. Once the "hazards" were out of the way, an hour or two and the entire stump was ground out! So, so happy to have this project completed in a timely manner. Alberto was very quick responding to the request for service, offered a very fair price and was on time as scheduled. I would use his service again without hesitation! read more

Based on the Yelp reviews, I called Alberto who responded right away. He gave us a price after looking over some photos via text. He showed up right on time with a professional crew. When the day's work was completed, I was informed that both the street tree and backyard palm tree had been removed and ground down. The park strip area was leveled with the surrounding ground, while the backyard area was 2 feet below ground level. I questioned why there were still numerous small pieces left and covered. Alberto told me that mulch is not debris... I understood they might have been eager to go home, believing that I could remove the remnants for the city to collect as yard waste. Therefore, I still paid them the full amount. But guess what I received? An uneven park strip still with significant tree roots and a backyard still with the palm tree stump and roots! It wasn't even level with the ground, let alone 2 feet below. I had confirmed multiple times before the contract that this area needed to be well-done because a shed was planned here. I reached out to them, but there was no response. I am disappointed. Their machine also made a hole in our wall, but no one informed us. Instead, they covered it with bricks. We only found out a few days later when our neighbor told us. ====2/18/2024 10PM==== *Correction: ...I was informed that ... The *backyard area was leveled with the surrounding ground, while the *park strip area was 2 feet below ground level. ====2/18/2024 11PM==== I did not find the option to reply the owner's comment so update here. Hi Alberto, I did not intend to tarnish your company in any way, just shared my experience. In truth, considering your qualifications and the services you promised, your price is reasonable and not on the expensive side. If you recall, during the site inspection, I specifically inquired whether the palm tree could be completely removed, to which you replied yes since its stump was on the soil side. Hence, we ultimately chose your team. I understand there may be changes during onsite work and also understand the impact of cement. Thank you for the detailed explanation above now. But when your work was completed, you should have informed me of the actual situation instead of a leveled confirmation (You and me checked together with the machine operator before my payment if you still remember). The bricks removal were for the machine's access. You or someone else asked my husband if they could be removed, he agreed, and I have no objections to this. My concern is that, after the hole was made, your crew did not inform us but chose to cover it with bricks. It was in Oct, closing to rain season, Regarding the mulch, please refer to the last item in our contract, "Haul all debris and wood and leave property clean." Isn't the mulch generated on-site the stump grind debris? It is normal to use mulch to fill the hole and area slightly after tree removal, but I think no one can accept a big and wide mulch pile there? Your work was completed on October 6, 2023, and it took us several weeks to clean up the "mulch pile" (because the city collects garbage once a week). I sent you text messages about our concerns with all the photos on November 6 after completely removing the mulch, hoping to receive your feedback, but there was no response. Considering your busy autumn season and holidays, I kept waiting for your feedback, which is why I am only posting this review now. read more

They did good work, very reasonable pricing, very professional. Highly recommend Aztec Tree Service.

Alberto gave me a price to remove 2 trees in my back yard and 3 Italian cypress (30 ft tall/lodged against my roof overhang). The price seemed fair so I scheduled it. The guys shows up right on time. Began in the back where the trees had to be sectioned (2ft pieces) and removed bit by bit. The cypress trees in front (or side) of the house were thinned, then dropped. The whole job is quite the mess, BUT... the guys cleaned up very well. They even blew off the debris on the roof and blew out the gutters. Next is the stump removal, but I need to remove the concrete first to allow them to proceed. Thanks again ! Charles read more

I wish I could give them 10+ stars!! Punctual Reliable Knew exactly what I wanted We had a large tree that has been overtaking our front yard for years. Aztec Tree Service trimmed the tree back (ok, more like chopped a TON off it was sooooo bad) and my yard does not look the same. What a transformation! They even took the time to trim another tree for me and cleaned up every single tiny speck of sawdust/wood/leaves they could find. My yard is cleaner then it was before they came!!! If you are looking for someone to take care of cutting back your trees, do not hesitate even for one second to contact these guys! I am not easy to impress and they by far blew me away. read more

Aztec Tree Service - Tree Services Near Me

We needed a good tree trimming since we have a Willow tree that grows fast and wild but the resent storm made us need one ASAP. We were so very fortunate for Alberto and his team. They were on the much lower end of the prices given to us. The tree is in an awkward corner of our yard where there are 3 other properties the the tree is directly over where all the fence-lines meet. This made us very nervous. Alberto handled it great. They were able to cut the limbs and safely move them back over into our yard. The best part was that they left our property spotless. They did such a wonderful job cleaning up after the tree, it was hard to tell they were there but for a well trimmed tree. Thank you again, Alberto! read more

They came for an estimate, gave a great price and offered to do it right away. Had the entire tree down and chipped in under an hour. Cleaned up my entire yard of leaves and sawdust quickly. Really happy with Aztec Tree Service. I sent out job requests on a Friday and Aztec replied quickly and agreed to come out and quote the job the next day. After checking out the tree that needed trimming, they offered a quote, which was competitive based on some other estimates. They asked when I wanted to have the job completed and I asked if they were available that same day. They agreed and started working immediately. Took several hours and they did exactly what I was looking for. Got the tree in good shape and cut back some heavy branches that were in danger of falling off. They let me know when they were finished and did a great job with clean-up. Highly recommend Aztec Tree Service! read more

After seeing so many positive reviews for Aztec Tree Service, I contacted them for a quote. A gentleman came out on Saturday, January 29th. After looking at our front yard tree and discussing the work needing to be done to the tree, he said he had another appointment to go to but would get back to my husband and me with a cost for doing the job for us. It is now Sunday, February 5th, and we have not heard back from anyone at Aztec Tree Service. I certainly understand that a company has a right to decline a job, but without even letting a potential customer know that you are not interested. How hard is it to respond back either via text or through the Yelp website you are not interested in doing the job? read more
