Sully Cafe is fantastic! The food is great and price is excellent! It offers a great menu but it can't please everyone's taste (customers that prefer saltier taste like John) and everyone's customer service expectation (customers that want Four Season's Restaurant service like Yolanda). The bottom line is... this is a "mom and pop" establishment and not a chain fast food like McDonald's. So the food is great quality and tastes great (agreed by most of the customer that know the establishment). Sully Cafe is run by excellent honest folks and deserves much more credit than some of these reviewers are insinuating. I will continue to visit this great convenient cafe. read more

I work right down the road and passed Sully's a few times but never stopped in. I'm glad I did! I ordered a tuna sandwhich on french bread (mistaken for french fries so they ended up part of my meal) the tuna came on white bread toasted with cheese, bacon, and mayo. It was fresh, not dry at all, and really tasty even though it didn't come on the bread I was hoping for. The fries were also good, salt-less and I didn't have salt so I really only ate a few; I wish the miscommunication hadn't happened because it was a little pricey at $10 when I only ate the sammie. I will definitely be back to try their bulgogi and other featured items when I have a longer lunch break. read more

Stepping outside of our comfort zone is something hard to do for most of us, even for adventurous eaters such as myself. It's comfortable for me to sit down and eat spicy pigs intestine in Tokyo, but sometimes just a look of a restaurant or the location can stop me from even considering a place. I have been laying over near the Dulles Expo center for years, ten years to be exact and have always eaten at the ridiculous choices of fast food chains that are within 100 ft of each other or Bob O's, the hotel restaurant. All mediocre at best but convenient. Sully Cafe certainly doesn't offer anything as exotic as spicy pig's intestine. It is basic American breakfast and lunch fare and I have walked past it many times over the years. So why have I been so reluctant to even check it out as an alternative to corporate fast food? I don't know. Maybe it is the location in an industrial business park or maybe it was my assumptions that it was just another business sandwich shop with nothing for me to eat (I am a celiac) but bad salads which is already offered at the chain fast food joints. Well, this morning, craving two eggs over easy with a side of bacon and hash browns (my favorite breakfast of all time) I was forced to go outside of my comfort zone as Bob O's system was done and they where only accepting cash. Haven't they heard of the old school credit slip?!! That is for another review. None of the other fast food chains offer anything for breakfast that doesn't come between bread. Frustrated and hungry, I checked Yelp for anything remotely close to a diner to get my two egg-bacon-browns fix. There was the usual Denny's and Bob Evans far yet where walkable but I was feeling too lazy and there was Sully Cafe. My hunger fueled my sense of adventure and I set out to Sully with hopes that it would surprise me. And it did. The cafe is owned by a Korean couple and you are greated with a warm Korean smile by a woman, who I am assuming is one of the owners. You order your food at the counter a la sandwich shop style. OK. It is a sandwich shop but offers enough other fare, especially for breakfast that will satisfy us gluten challenged food lovers. The place is quite minimal in decor but clean with a decent seating area. Going against my cravings I ordered the western omelette which I was happy to see came with cheese. It seems like in most places cheese is extra for a western omelette. The platter comes with home fries and toast, all for $4.30+! The omelette was spot on, the home fries where delicious, could have been a bit more crispier, but the potatoes where salted which was so refreshing as too many times places don't season the potatoes correctly. In reading the menu, most of the lunch fare is sandwiches and I didn't see really any Korean or Asian dishes except for the occasional Bulgogi daily special which seems to be unpredictable as to when it would be on the menu. The food was good, cheap, and warmly served. And, as I left the establishment, the husband was behind the counter and both bid me farewell with big smiles. I left feeling satisfied and happy for a new food choice for a layover. Later, as I was crossing the road, the owner drove by and waved at me. I'm definitely going back. read more

I have been coming here now and then for the last 3 years, usually for breakfast. This little cafe has always offered friendly service. The food is good and straight forward American fair. I have also seen Korean bulgogi sandwiches as well now and then too, but haven't tried them. The last few times I have visited, I have noticed the food is pretty good. I am not sure if they have always been this good, but I will have to keep them in mind because everything seems to be coming together for them. I got a chicken and cheese sub with fries to go today because it was offered as a lunch special. The sub included diced jalapenos, onions, mushrooms, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, chicken and provolone cheese. The roll was toasted just right for a bit of crunchy that held up to the contents. The sub wasn't overly spicy despite having diced jalapenos. The fries were crisp and packaged to stay that way (little windows were cut out to vent the steam. Take note suppliers of freshly cooked fries!). I asked for extra packets of ketchup because they tend to only supply two. The person checking me out (I'm assuming to be the new owner/manager because I see him all the time and he wasn't there before the cafe was under new management) obliged and gave me a full handful. Again, this is something I appreciate when I have asked the same of other places in the area and they give me 1 or 2 more packets. Are these ketchup packets that expensive? read more

Incredibly quick and friendly customer service. I didn't feel rushed or ignored either. The cashier was personable and patient. The food came out amazingly quickly. The styrofoam plate made me cringe a little. I know they're cheap, but I'm also a hippie from Boulder where being green is so emphasized many places use cardboard straws because they compost unlike plastic straws (cardboard straws do mush down as you use them). The home fries were okay I was hoping they would be a little crispier than the were or have some spices like salt and pepper already on them. But the French toast was fantastic. My father and I stopped here for breakfast because of the 4 star rating. I've never seen such a discrepancy between a Yelp rating and the service rendered. The lady who helped us was nice enough, which is the only reason I am giving it 2 stars. Our booth was dirty and the food was either bland or actively bad. The eggs were rubbery, the pancakes were dry, and the toast was virtually inedible. First and foremost, there is definitely a language barrier here, but it's easy to take in stride because they're super nice. There's a $10 delivery minimum for breakfast and $20 for lunch. I thought spending $10 for breakfast would be pretty "easy" but not so much here - and that's a good thing! The prices are cheap to reasonable, so when I've gotten breakfast delivered to work, I've had to either order multiple dishes or order with coworkers. It's only taken about 20-25 minutes to arrive too. That's efficient! Food: -Corned beef hash omelette: I wasn't really a fan of their corned beef, so I ended up not really liking this dish. However, I scraped out the hash and enjoyed the omelette. -Homefries: not actually homefries, but fried potatoes. Po-tay-to, Po-tot-o. They're good either way. I only wish there was more as a side with my omelette! -Sausage gravy: a thick, white gravy with a plentiful amount of little sausage balls. I liked the dish, but it could use more pepper. I ended up with toast in my sausage gravy instead of biscuits but I think that was a part of the language barrier. It was still good, but not exactly what I'm used to/like. Such a cute little cafe! Our breakfast was very cheap, less than what we'd pay at dunkin', and it came out fresher and faster than what we'd get there too. Service was nice. The ketchup kind of ruined our whole experience. It was very vinegary and seemed to be way past expiration... We opened it up and smelled it and it was disgusting. I literally love Sully's and hope they never ever ever leave. Sully's is a family owned deli with friendly staff and great food! I love going there to eat lunch and I once had a good pancake breakfast there. The selection on the menu can accommodate many dietary restrictions (I brought my vegetarian friend and she loved her wrap) and depending on the day you go you can get an amazing deal on chicken teriyaki and/or bulgogi. The people are very nice! But, the steak egg and cheese sandwich I had was nasty as I don't know what! There is lots of fat along the edge of the meat and the meat is dark and old looking. I want to go back because they are nice but I'm scared of the food. One star for nasty food and I wanted to give another star for good customer service. Review is for breakfast only - have not tried them out for lunch (yet)... As noted in many other reviews, customers are warmly greeted upon entry by a very nice husband/wife (?) team. I was in the mood for a breakfast sammich, so ordered a bacon, egg & cheese on toasted rye plus some home fries. Sammich was excellent! Thick layers of scrambled egg, good amount of bacon held down by melted american cheese. The bread was properly toasted and held up well against the eggy goodness inside. Home fries get bonus points for being obviously hand cut, but they could have used a few more minutes on the grill for added color and crispiness. And an extra shake of salt would be most welcome. A very nice way to start the day - will be back to try them out for lunch! read more

I was happy to find a place to eat close to where I occasionally work. I had the pancake platter. It was okay. I decided to get a sandwich for lunch. Baloney on white bread shouldn't take too long. I'm giving this place 5 stars based on the service and Cobb Salad only. They have the best Cobb Salad ever! The best part about it is the strips of crispy bacon and their 2 hardboiled eggs. We have meetings at work and the people that have gotten this salad absolutely loves it. We requested delivery two times for a large meeting and both times they came early (better early than late) so definitely not a problem there. They never messed up on any of the orders and they kindly labeled each food with the person's name on stickers. Great place! read more

I called to place an order for my office and was asked to be placed on hold. I was on hold for about 6 minutes trying to place an order and then I hung up since no one ever came back to me. I called back to place our order and was met with an extremely irate man, who insists that my phone called him multiple times. I tried to explain to him that I did not in fact call him multiple times, and it sounds like his phone system rings back when phone calls are placed on hold and go unanswered. He then proceeded to argue with me that we kept calling them multiple times and all I wanted to do was place an order. He then insisted that I was not listening to what he was saying, which was actually hard not to do since he kept angrily repeating himself over and over again. No one has the time to play phone games in my office, and we actually order from this place multiple times a week. We will never order from this place again. read more

A local Café owned by a friendly Korean family that has all your favorite lunch choices like burgers, wraps, and more. They serve breakfast too but I've yet to try them. This is a good place for anyone working in the general Chantilly Sullyfield Circle area. They're fast and inexpensive with a decent amount of choices on their menu. They even have daily specials and some of them are Korean dishes like bulgogi and bibimbap through out the week. Seating is spacious but due to their fryer, the place have a strong oil smell there. If that doesn't bother you then by all means eat there. I recommend trying their wraps if you're eating with budget, or their burger that's filling and have good buns and meat. Their cob salad is good too if you're eating healthy. They're willing to replace a few things for you like more tomatoes instead of bacon if you ask. They do delivery if you order minimum $10 for breakfast time and $20 for lunch time. There are other options in the general area similar to this but I personally like the family there and their fries are better than most other places. read more
