I was in the industrial area on E 5th and happen to spot this cafe. I'm a big fan of Sula Indian Restaurant (they opened this new cafe) so I was very intriguied by the cafe. They had such cool options for chai - I got their famous white chocolate pistachio chai and their classic masala chai. Both were delicious! They also had a chai pistachio cake which I took to go and was soo soft and delicious!! It is mostly a takeout spot, they don't have a lot of seating but I can see this becoming a very trendy cafe in the neighbourhood.

I have been to Sula Restaurant before and absolutely love their food and atmosphere! When I learned about their newly opened Sula Cafe, I bookmarked it immediately. We went to the cafe on a rainy morning, and the cozy and welcoming vibes of the cafe as well as the spicy masala chai warmed up our hearts. The staff was very friendly and answered our questions about different types of chai patiently. In addition to the spicy strong chai that I love, we also tried their masala panini and samosa. Both were fresh and delicious with great flavors. I would definitely return.

This little café is a new addition in the neighbourhood, specializing in chai, Indian coffee, and Indian-inspired pastries. I tried the Gulabi Chai -- rich, warming, and full of spices, with rose petals adding a lovely sweetness. My friend had the Classic Chai, which was perfectly spiced and comforting. The classic chai offered as unsweetened so you add sugar level to your liking We also tried the Rose Pistachio Croissant (highly recommend -- amazing filling with a hint of saltiness) and the Pear & Chai Croissant, which tasted fresh and unique. It's take-out only, but there are a few chairs and tables outside. Staff (Rea -- hope I spelled it right!) was super helpful and gave great recommendations. Only suggestion: the drinks come out very hot, so a thicker cup sleeve would help. For Parking: it is very difficult to find parking near by as they are usually for permit only. There is a few 1hr free parking on Main & 5th.

There was only one family ahead of me when I entered, who was asking questions about bean recommendations. The person at the order counter was really helpful providing them with good information. When it was my turn to order, it was quick since I had already selected beans that I wanted to purchase, and my oat latte. Option was asked if I wanted to dine in or takeout, and I went with the latter. After I got my drink, I took a seat on one of the benches they have outside the store. There's also a decent amount of indoor seating and an outdoor patio section in front of the store. Not my first time trying Nemesis since I've been to Vancouver before, but definitely a reminder of why they are listed as one of the World's 100 Best Coffee Shops. If I wasn't so full from brunch, I would have also gotten one of their pastries. Seeing them all was very tempting.

Not a place to sit a work for hours. Ok for just 30-45 minutes. Be ready to pay $$$. Music on louder side. The food at first glance looks and sounds like every other upscale coffee place with expensive croissants and loafs, BUT, when you order off their menu you get a very nice palatable surprise!!! The chef has designed really gourmet modern twists using familiar ingredients like Asian style pork belly eggs Benedict or asparagus danish with yummy mozzarella cheese grated on top. Very unexpected and very tasty in a premium experience way. Like Michelin star level. The reason I have four instead of five stars was because of my ordering experience. I had stood at the counter waiting to order. Awkwardly waiting for the staff to finish chit chatting. And then giving me a little look like I'm interrupting their conversation. The person who ended up serving me was pleasant but my first impression was made. The architecture was very aesthetically unique compared to anything else that I have experienced. I thought it looked and felt like I was inside an apple. Not sure what it was though!! It's quite over the top for a coffee spot or restaurant, but considering it's right next to Emily Carr University, it makes more sense that the building is art too. Would come back again.

According to the website, this chain is named after the owner's golden retriever. It sure looks happy. Parking is available in front of the building, as well as along various village side streets. Staff are friendly and cheerful. No complaints. The doughnuts are a bit pricey but they sure are delicious. I really like "Asian" style doughnuts as they are less sweet than their western counterparts. I had the matcha cream and could definitely taste the matcha. Will be trying their other locations at some point. Recommended.

The drive itself led us to an incredible bay that genuinely felt like we'd been transported to Alaska--calm, wild, and breathtaking--and then there was this cozy little gem waiting for us. Any place named after a dog and so welcoming to dogs instantly wins my heart. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, even though the place was bustling with happy locals and travelers alike. Every pastry in the case looked beautiful and tempting, making it nearly impossible to choose. The coffee, though--absolutely perfect. Smooth, balanced, and exactly what you want on a crisp morning adventure. Goldie's felt like one of those special finds you don't plan for but remember long after. My boyfriend lined up at 9:30am for a 10am opening and there were already 25 people ahead of him. By the time the store opened, the line was over two blocks long. I heard the line up was up to 2 hours long later that day so to say that Angus T is a hit is a bit of an understatement. This is a cute location where the emphasis is on sweet and savoury croissants but they offer Danish, cinnamon buns, tea, and coffee options. We ordered the limited offering of the strawberry creme croissant plus got a regular croissant, onion jam & bacon, pistachio & raspberry, and ham & cheese. All of these croissants were DELICIOUS and the regular croissant brings me memories of Paris! Yes, they are pricey but at around $1.50 to $2.50 more than a croissant from Starbucks a block away, it is well worth it as a treat. I look forward to tasting more flavours and taking friends here to catch up over a delicious croissant and hot cup of tea. The River District neighbourhood needed a cute café like this and so glad they are finally open. Pro tip: if enjoying the treats at home, reheat the croissants in low heat. They taste better warm!

Honestly, this is one of my favorite coffee shops in Vancouver, there's something about the vibe here and the coffee that just brings me a lot of joy. I haven't really tried their pastries yet but I am looking forward to do so when I have a sweet tooth!
