My first time here. I really enjoyed it. There's a neighborhood vibe to it. Good menu with variety but nicely limited. Service was great and food and drink very good. Perfect Manhattan was delish and my wife loved her Cosmo. I really enjoyed the Pork Chop Parmigiana- will be back

Large parking lot outside. Clean and modern inside. Lots of space. Plenty of outside seating, which was full on a nice Saturday evening. Service was excellent. Food was delicious, did not need to wait too long. The bread was tasty. Had olive oil, cheese, and pepper flakes to supplement. The pizza was amazing. It's thin crust, cooked perfectly. The crust was not burnt and it held up with all the toppings of the Sugo. I would get this again. The rigatoni alla vodka was delish. The right amount of sauce, the flavor was good and was not too salty. Pasta cooked well. Chicken spiedini was well cooked. Not dry at all. Tender. Tasty. All the food was tasty, service was good. I recommend!

Sugo's is a really neat looking place with patio seating as well. The patio is not that great as it overlooks the parking lot. But they have done their best to make it cute. The bread and olive oil with parm was great. My meal was pretty good, but i expected it to possibly blow my socks off. Unfortunately it did not. It was chicken pounded down rolled and then cooked. It was very dry unfortunately/over cooked. The sauce was a tomato vodka sauce. Good but did not impress that much! I will be back as I feel they have much better. Thanks

You know when you plan for a dinner location and it does not take reservations. Yes the wait list. We planned to try Circle 7 Ranch but since there was a wait list we decided to have a cocktail before going to the restaurant. It turned out that there was a 90 minute wait at Circle 7. This brought us back to Sugo's a restaurant we had picked several months ago to try with my wife's college friend and husband. Sugo's has a wait list too, but we called to see how long was the wait. The wait was 15 minutes!. Perfect we finished our cocktails and grabbed our coats Sugo's being a Del Pietro's restaurant we were in for a treat and was not disappointed. Italian restaurants are a challenge for my wife and her garlic allergy, but most will work with her and some can't. Our server was helpful and attentive to my wife's issue. Camille, came back and suggested the grilled salmon and vegetables and everything else had garlic in it. That works. Her grilled salmon was flaky and flavorful and the veggies were crisp. My tagliatelle bolognese was delicious the pasta was tender not soggy and the sauce was rich and flavorful. Our dinner partners both had the hidden menu item off the menu- Chicken Spiedini. They said it was very tasty since it was gone before I could take a picture of it. You cannot go wrong with Sugo's even the bar recommended a great cabernet Sauvignon wine for the meal we were thinking of choosing. Great service from Camille, courteous and professional. Excellent food and a very open atmosphere to dine in. a good place to people watch. The only thing I miss was a canolli at the door when Mary Rose (Mama Del Pietro) would offer as you leave. That was a long standing tradition at the long gone Del Pietro's on Hampton, the now Salt and Smoke. Sugo's Spaghetteria experience it. Enjoy dining out.

Sugo's is so efficient. I have gone on a lunch hour on multiple occasions. I usually ask for the check with the food and they bring it, but I think that they'd have served me and closed me out in plenty of time even if I didn't. Plenty of space inside for seating. At least two big rooms, I think. And some seating on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. It's a perfect place to eat on a pretty day. The best thing is the food, though. I generally get the spaghetti with tomato sauce. It's delicious! It comes with meat, but they hold the meat AND they discount the dish. Most places won't discount a dish. Thanks, Sugo's, for letting me save a few dollars.

I returned here for lunch in December 3023. I wanted to share the menu with you all. I got the Salmon Salad. The spinach was perfectly dressed and the Salmon filet was nice and hot from the oven. I recommend it highly.

Great experience. I recommend sitting at the bar. Amazing service from the bartender on a really busy night. The risotto with scallops and shrimp was amazing. Lots of good specials. Wine was really good. Tutto Mari was delicious. I always love bar seating especially when a restaurant is busy.

Coffee was okay, but I wasn't offered a refill until we were done with our meal and getting our checks. $3.50 for 1 cup of black coffee is a bit much. When we got our check, we had to wait a while for the waitress to come back to split it for us, I always find it strange when they don't ask. Overall not a great or awful experience but I have def had better.

I had my first dinner of my stay at Olive + Oak, and it blew me away from the moment I laid my eyes on it. From the unsuspecting street outside, the giant windows glow with the warm, sparkling light from within. An elegant dining room with a beautiful bar and a good amount of hustle and bustle. I felt like I was at an upscale New Orleans joint. Very cozy. Service was just as beautiful. Our server was extremely nice, new the menu backwards and forwards, and rattled off the nightly specials without hesitation. And on top of all of that, when we were getting some stuff to-go, she threw in more bread for us! You can't train that level of service. That's just a good person. Onto the food. We started off with the Blue Crab Gratin (calabrian chili, celery + pretzel bread). This was ooey, gooey, cheesy, delicious, had a fair amount of crab in it, had a nice little kick, and the sliced, crunchy pretzel bread dippers were exquisite. Something seasonal that isn't on their menu anymore, we ordered an Okonomiyaki, which is a savory Japanese pancake, basically, covered in sauce. Wow, this thing was done well. Very reminiscent of the authentic thing I've had in Japan. Very nice. Another dish that isn't on the menu anymore, the Catfish dish. It was slightly Asian and on top of some sort of risotto rice. I can't remember exactly, but I do remember that it was very well cooked, had a nice char. An eclectic dish that came together very nicely. I also got to try some of the Rabbit Crepe (port wine braised rabbit, blueberry, fennel, arugula + kenny's bleu gouda crepe). Some people might shudder at the idea of eating rabbit. Those people need to grow up. Rabbit is one of the most succulent, delicious meats out there, and in this wonderful flavor combination, in a crepe. This chef is genius. I could have downed two of these things. We finished off the night with the recommended Cloud Cake (vanilla chiffon cake, coconut pastry cream, coconut + whipped cream icing). This thing was de-ca-dent. A nice, thicc sponge, a very coconuty cream, and a whipped icing with lots of coconut pulp in it. So heavenly. Overall, my socks were blown off. Not only does St. Louis have good food, this was a better meal than I had in Nashville and Kansas City. Who would have guessed. I would love to come back.

'ssippi is a new(ish) wine bar set towards the western end of the collection of bars, restaurants, and shops that are the heart of the strip. The inside has a large wrap about bar and some limited seating. There is a very good selection of wine and mixed drinks and an okay selection of beer. The prices are reasonable. There is a very limited food menu which largely consists of snacks rather than proper entrees. So this is a great pre/post drink spot rather than somewhere you would spend an evening. The bartenders were fine. Nothing stood out either in a good or bad way. The mixed drink my wife had was very good. The orange wine I had was good, a bit on the dry side but overall no complaints from either of us. Without a highlight of the spot is the large patio. It is mostly taken up by large bench style seating. So you have to be okay sitting next to strangers. I actually enjoy these types of settings and I ended up chatting up the group to our right. There are a couple tables but they are few and far between. There are some overhead canopies and lights, and there was a nice vibe and energy. I was there and it was crowded. I really enjoyed it. Just two additional things to note. The bathroom line was very long. It must only be one stall. The entire time I was there it was a dozen people deep. The only other downside is that my wife and I felt old. The vibe on a late(ish) Saturday night was mainly 20 year olds. If I was in grad school or a recent graduate I would absolutely adore this place. Even if your 30s this probably is a good vibe. Once you hit 40 though you may feel a bit out of place on busy nights (or it will make you feel young again!)
