I ordered tofu teriyaki. It has 12 pieces with rice, soup and salad. I also ordered vegetarian gyoza, they had a delicious taste to them but the sauce on the side wasn't my favorite ( my boyfriend liked it though). For my last item I picked avocado roll. It is simple yet my favorite . My only problem is I'm a vegetarian and they put it next to his shrimp roll. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp roll which was fresh and delicious. He also got beef fried rice which was good. The only reason why 3 stars is because they mix vegetarian with fish. Also I never been inside so I'm not sure what it looks like and how they serve. After she picked out the hair with her bare hand, she turned to me and said "do you want the rest of your food?" When we got the check, she still charged me for the hair-iyaki entree. Usually, I just get shrimp & avocado rolls but I wanted to venture out. So I bought one shrimp & avocado roll, the volcano roll (rather large, you might want to cut it in half if you're small like me), the spicy white tuna roll and the Boston roll! It was my first time trying the volcano roll and it was delicious despite how large in size the pieces are, the Boston roll was amazingly refreshing since they use lettuce. It's my go-to order whenever I want to eat out with my friends or order it for myself when I want sushi delivered. I have some suspicions on whether some of the fish is frozen or just chilled, but it's definitely good quality. You definitely get good quality for what you pay for! About two years later, on my friend's birthday, I ordered the table the sushi boat, several appetizers, and some entrees. On the first few bites, it was just as excellent as the first time I had the sushi here. A great quality of this restaurant is that it is consistent. My only complaint is the hibachi, not that great and they don't provide any dipping sauce for it(my favorite part) or at least not when you have it delivered. This is my go to place for sushi. It's one of my comfort food restaurants, with so so many choices that can satisfy all your taste buds. Their entrees are so worth it, the portions are large and they come with soup or salad (sometimes even rice!). I love dining in, the owner is so thoughtful (they do have different waitresses that come and go with the season so I cannot speak for those ladies) and she always tries her best to accommodate if something goes wrong. I also love order from them online, especially on rainy days. Just a note, they are pretty busy Fridays and Saturdays and waiting time can increase by 15-20 minutes more than usual. However, the food is usually always hot when it gets here, and their desserts are also so good. Oishi Sushi lived up to the hype a co-worker of mine from the Bronx had told me about. The place looks new inside and out, and I was told by my server its less than a year old. The $20 AYCE special was what we went for, it came with appetizers and first course, so we already had edamame, miso, fried and steamed dumpling brought out to the table before we even began ordering sushi. The sushi AYCE menu is outstanding, there are many different rolls to try, some are even deep fried. We tried the deep fried spicy tuna roll that had a tangy sauce to go with it. That roll was more like a specialty roll you would pay close to $10 for anywhere else. Tuna/salmon/avacado roll, Shrimp Tempura roll, And Philly rolls were all delicious and fresh as well. Kind went full monty here and tried the fried bananas which were mind blowing! Fried really well and very rip sweet banana in the middle, I was surprised how much better this dessert was than anywhere else I've ever tried it. I came here based on a few recommendations. The inside is obviously all brand new and very modern looking. Definitely sit down and eat there. They have an assortment of different beers, ones I have never even heard of. So it is fun to try a new one each time I go. Would like to update this because I believe the all you can eat specials no longer are going on here, but their sushi is STILL my favorite in The Bronx! This is my favorite sushi place. The food is always awesome. The all you can eat sushi is an amazing deal! We always go for lunch and it's only 15 dollars! It's a LOT of food for cheap, and it's good quality, always fresh, amazing sauces. The fire snow roll is one of my favorites as well as the dragon roll. The staff is always friendly and we always get the same waitress who is always a doll. The atmosphere is nice, modern and intimate. The place is small but it feels cozy. I don't have any complaints about the place- except maybe if you leave any food on your plate you are charged for it, I once left maybe a half a cup of rice (because the sushi does tend to have a lot of rice) and was charged a few bucks for it- but this is only with the all you can eat. And they no longer do the all you can eat special on weekends. Aside from that this place if great, highly recommend! read more
