An Unforgettable Omakase Experience!…read more We celebrated the 4th of July with an incredible omakase dinner at Masaki, and it exceeded every expectation. Every course was beautifully presented, impeccably fresh, and perfectly balanced. From the delicate Red Sea Bream and buttery Scallop to the luxurious Toro with Caviar, Sweet Shrimp with Uni, and the unforgettable Eel with Foie Gras, each bite was a masterpiece. What truly elevated the evening was Michael, our sushi chef. He was warm, engaging, and exceptionally knowledgeable. He took the time to explain every course, the origin of the fish, the flavors, and the best way to enjoy each piece. His passion for his craft was evident, and his attention to detail made the entire experience feel personal and memorable. Dining at the sushi bar gave us a front-row seat to watch the artistry behind every piece. The quality of the ingredients, the precision of the preparation, and the genuine hospitality made this one of the finest omakase experiences we've ever had. Thank you, Michael, and the entire Masaki team, for making our holiday celebration so special. We can't wait to return for another unforgettable evening!

I honestly wasn't expecting much but the service based solely for the Omakase blew me away. The Omakase bar was in the back of the restaurant hidden away. The space was very open and the ambience was chic. This is a great place for date night, mommy night out, or group hangouts as they have private rooms too. Every piece tasted very fresh and were quite unique. The steam silky egg appetizer with crabmeat and fish roe was simple yet delicious. One of the dishes was an uni toro roll that was placed on top of our hands and was sprayed with edible gold glitter on us. That was a surprise and it was cute. And that uni just melts in your mouth. We had this matcha pudding with I think had an Oreo sprinkle in it was fabulous. They also surprised us with an extra dessert cause it was all 3 of our birthdays. Very enjoyable experience. Our sushi chef was very accommodating and made our birthday dinner memorable. We originally started out with the summer special of $78pp for a 12 course meal and decided to upgrade to the 14 course meal for $98pp. There was an option for a 17 course meal for $138pp but we were very full towards the end. They also had this $30 lunch and $60 dinner 3 course meal set for restaurant week. My friend's mom wasn't a fan of raw stuff so she ordered the Chilean sea bass with risotto and she wasn't a huge fan of it. The fish was a tad overcooked and the overall presentation of the dish looked more of a Chinese fusion dish. The risotto had that cheesy flavor but the presentation with the Bok Choy and the risotto looked more like fried rice and was confusing. I would stick with the omakase, which this place is known for.

Be prepared to be nickel-and-dimed for everything, including a hidden $2 charge for tea they never mentioned upfront. The menu is very limited: no bento boxes, no hot kitchen food, and classic rolls. A la carte is a ridiculous $4.95 per piece. They refuse to make substitutions on the Sushi/Sashimi Deluxe unless you pay an extra $2, and the "avocado bomb" doesn't even come with rice. Because we felt bad about leaving after we sat down, we ended up ordering 2 appetizers and 3 special rolls. The waitress actually gave me a disapproving look and asked, That's it?" when I ordered. Yes, that's it--because your menu is so limited I already knew I'd have to order from another restaurant for my kids as soon as we left. For 5 items, the bill was over $110. The check was just a mess of handwritten scribbles with gratuity already added. This place is absolutely not worth it. It's as if you only go there because you're an insider and know how to find it, like those hidden nightclubs. Inside is not too big, fits about 25 people? Cozy and bright atmosphere with minimal decor. The menu is also minimal; just one page. After ordering, it seemed like a pretty long wait to get our food- maybe 20 minutes? Unexpected since it was only half full of people. As for the food, I have to admit it seemed really fresh and good. But portions are not large and the prices were not cheap. Getting the check also took a while. The worst part? They added a 15% tip on to the bill! Because of that, we're not going back. Too bad for them; we normally tip 20%!

The complimentary bread was served with a very creative trio of spreads: butter, a sweet plum sauce, and a sweet vinegar reduction. It was an unexpected and delicious start to the meal. The sushi rolls were the highlight. The fish tasted great, the avocado was generous, and the ingredients were well balanced. We also really enjoyed the Mito Ribs, Tuna Tartare, Black Sea Bass, Teriyaki Chicken, Mito Fried Rice, and Cobb Salad. The ribs were rich and flavorful, while the tuna tartare was refreshing and beautifully presented. The sea bass had nicely crisped skin with thick, tender meat. Overall, Mito offered a lovely atmosphere, attractive presentation, and a wide variety of enjoyable dishes. It was a great choice for our birthday celebration, and I would gladly return for the sushi and several of their signature dishes.

The wonton soup was very good, I enjoyed the little mushrooms in it. The crispy rice sushi, was amazing! I was worried I wouldn't like it but honestly was the best thing I had. And for the sushi rolls, they did mess mine up and give me the wrong ones but they were good otherwise. It was a nice time. They do serve French fries as well for the kids. The izakaya menu is full of inventive small plates you'd be hard-pressed to find elsewhere. I can't recommend the yakitori, tuna tacos, Chicken bun, Nike Sobu and chicken wings enough. Each one is a flavorful, expertly prepared start to the meal. But the real showstopper is their signature mazemen. This broth-less ramen is a revelation, tossing perfectly cooked noodles in a rich, savory sauce that clings to every strand. I asked ofit could be made without pork and the obliged makingnit with chicken instead.
