I wish there were more locations of this in Manhattan. We made an order at the desk before we seated ourselves and for a Saturday evening, there was quite a bit of open tables which was great. I ordered the Szechuan Braised Beef Noodles and they were absolutely delicious. The noodles tasted a bit like ramen noodles but they were able to grab all the delicious and garlic flavored soup. I really appreciated the soft-boiled egg with its marinated egg whites. I also loved the big tender beef chunks as well. Overall, I really cannot wait to go back to Zhongzhong noodles and I hope that they open up more locations. I will say though that since I last went to the Roosevelt Island location, they have raised their prices quite a bit - maybe $2 or $3 per dish.

Decided to try an order for delivery via GrubHub and compare dishes with two separate noodles, based on what they recommended for each best for delivery: Beijing Bolo with a fermented black bean ground pork sauce, a.k.a. Zhejiang Mien, including Size #2 pressed noodles thick like udon, scallions, and cilantro, plus Cold Sesame Noodles utilizing handpulled lagman. Both dishes I ordered medium spicy. The Beijing Bolo came in a bowl, while I needed to plate the Cold Sesame dish. Both were flavorful with tender noodles. Next time, more likely to go in person over delivery, and explore other dishes on their menu. It's a great option particularly for this neighborhood! Definitely would recommend trying out The Handmade Noodle!

I placed a pickup order, but when I got there my food hadn't even been started yet, so I ended up standing around for another 10-15 minutes. That part was annoying. I started with the cumin dry rub wings. They were just okay. Very tangy, not very spicy, and honestly a bit over cooked/fried. I'd skip the wings. The steamed chicken and shiitake dumplings were the highlight. They had peas inside and were actually really good. Super flavorful and easily my favorite item. I also ordered the cumin soup with hand-pulled noodles, medium spicy. Everyone warned that spiciness was intense, so I played it safe, but medium ended up being pretty underwhelming for me. The soup was also very oily. The minced pork was fine, nothing special, and while I liked the noodles, they could've been cooked a bit longer. Overall... meh. :/

This place is incredibly easy to miss unless you're intentionally looking for it. I've gone past it…read moreso many times without a clue this establishment was even there. I loved the ambiance of the place, it was so cozy, warm and relaxing. The music they were playing matched perfectly with the vibe and aesthetics of the place, it was soft and romantic in a way. There are plenty of tables available for groups or solo dates. This is a perfect place to sit down and journal or get some work done. I literally only waited 10 minutes from start to finish to get my takeout, I sat down on one of the available tables and immediately started reading my Bible app, truly relaxing. Half of the tablets were occupied but everyone appeared to be relaxed and just enjoying their meals so the noise level was low. If you're waiting for takeout they give you a ticket and then bring your takeout to the table you're at. If you ordered in advance for a pick up you just walk to the counter and they hand over your food. The staff were friendly and graceful. While I was ordering my food at the counter, I was able to see the staff handling some of the food. They were plating, and I was pleasantly surprised with the fact that all of them were wearing gloves even while they were taking the prepared food to the tables. You get 5% off your bill if you pay with cash. There are no atms inside. Now let's talk about the actual food, the star of the show. I ordered the claypot braised pork belly and I was notttt disappointed! This meal was such a unique experience. I am used to eating very flavorful and well seasoned dishes overall so I've tasted plenty of dishes that had more flavor than this. However, I have never enjoyed a dish that was so intentional with all of its textures and tastes. The rice was soft and light, and the vegetables had the perfect amount of crunch and spice, while the pork had a mild sweetness to it. The egg was a perfect add on to put it all together. This is the kind of plate that you have to truly eat everything it's served with to fully enjoy all of the different textures and flavors that it brings. If any of the spices or flavors would've been overwhelming, it would take away from the other flavors every item on the plate has to offer. I put a little of everything with each bite, yummm. The only flaw with the dish unfortunately is that the larger portions of the pork were chewy and a bit dry, which based on other reviews seems to be a thing. The smaller pieces were very tender and delicious. I will definitely order again from here. I'm excited to try their homemade soda, coffees and their summer/spring roles Happy yelping and enjoy

There was no line so I was able to quickly order. I chose the scallion and ginger stir fry, added lamb and chose the Lagman had pulled noodle. One thing to note is the dishes are buildable. Starts with a base and as you want to add, it costs. That's how I got, got. My meal easily went from $15 to $22 with the addition of meat and hand made noodle. As I'm a tourist, this price makes sense as I'm splurging. As a person who wants a regular meal, this is pricey for a takeout box of noodles for 1. Now, the meal itself was tasty. The meant was flavorable and tender. The noodles were cooked al dente so a bit chewy. I ate the box in one sitting and I felt just full. Would I return, possibly but I wouldn't fall for the add ons. I'd just choose an already made meal/ dish

I'm used to getting ravioli from an Italian Superstore that's dotted across Long Island. Good? Yeah maybe but what I grew up with? Nah. I'm in The Bronx and I'm going to stop at Borgatti's Ravioli for our Sunday dinner. Walking into the store, it's very small. There are high glass partitions, no touching just pointing. I see the various pastas and ravioli but I want the big suckas. Small ravioli? C'Mon! I made the best red sauce that I will drown these raviolis in a sea of tomatoes. The small raviolis just can't swim in my pot! The older gentleman behind the counter asks if he can help me. I ask him to open the box and actually show me the larger ravioli. Oh baby, they are large and in charge. Why I walked out with one box still boggles my mind because I should have bought 3. I'm not in the area too often and the extra boxes would have carried me through the winter. I hand over my cash and the gentleman says God Bless to me. I'm not getting blessings on Long Island! When I came home, my wife made the perfect Sunday dinner. Those raviolis came straight from the 70s. Simply perfect. God Bless us, everyone.
