I wanna first start by saying, I've been eating at this place for years (10+ years). So today 1/12/ 23 I decided to grab lunch, the food was ok, but as I got halfway done, as I looked to take my next bit, there was a roach mix into the lo mien. I immediately went back and showed the guy who served me and his response was, ( so I don't know how that got there, and that he can switch my half eaten container with a new one. Like wtf. I've been passing this place for a little over two years now. I've always seen people coming out with their bubble teas. I've peaked inside and see people eat as well. Well I have finally tried the food twice. The food was delicious there really isn't anything special but the food is affordable and fresh. You can get two entrees and rice or lo mein for $6.95. One entree and rice or lo mein is $5.95. You can not beat that deal. I've tried a few things but will continue to try other options and of course a bubble tea eventually. read more

Don't see what the big deal is about this place. The "A" grade on the front door is reassuring that the food is prepared in a sanitary and clean environment. We had their #1 and #2 combo deal, basically a main dish like meat or fish with 1 side. We tried the blackened fish, sesame chicken, and fried pork with fried rice. I also tried the wonton soup with meat dumplings. The soup broth was very oversalted. On the plus side, it was only $2 and there was a generous amount of dumplings included with it. The rice was totally bland, the fish was okay, but again, not especially tasty or flavorful. The sesame chicken and fried pork were better, I would maybe give them 3.5 stars. The place has a limited seating area with tables for 2 and some corner tables that could sit up to 3 people. Most people get food to go, so someone is constantly walking by you as you are eating as the space is very narrow. The pros of this place are that the food is okay, especially if you are hungry and don't care too much about the flavor or are okay with very average tasting. Also, as others said, their bargain prices and speed with which you get hot food cannot be beat. You basically just walk up to the counter and point to what you want and within a minute you can start eating. We did not try their bubble teas, so I cannot make any comments about those, but based on the pictures and reviews they look interesting. Oh, one last thing - this place is CASH ONLY, so make sure you've got cash on hand before coming here! Also, there are no wifi networks inside the restaurant. read more

Two words: jalapeno chicken. It's dry seasoning based as opposed to the other options that are drenched in thick sauce. It has a really good kick and slight burn to it. I've never seen it at any other Chinese restaurant, so give it a try! A lot of my friends are fans of the sesame chicken and bbq pork with fried rice. Another good one is the chicken and broccoli. Like everyone below mentioned, China Mia's food isn't as greasy as other Chinese take out places, so it'll make you feel a teensy bit less guilty for indulging. The owner, David, is very friendly. He really cares about his customers and making good food for them. I have his food so often that he is practically family to me. I have a friend who brings home China Mia food on Friday nights, and it's honestly one of the greatest things to eat after having a few beers. So satisfying. I must admit, when I saw the neighborhood was getting another Chinese restaurant, I rolled my eyes. This area has any type of cuisine you could ask for, as long as you only want pizza, Chinese, or Mexican. China Mia turns out to be a welcome addition though. Stopped in here last night. Food is less greasy and heavy than other local places. They offered us a sample of bourbon chicken on a toothpick, just like at the mall food court. Tasty! They also offer tart frozen yogurt (like the Pinkberry style stuff) and fresh fruit smoothies. I look forward to coming back to try those. So I've driven past this place for YEARS and decided to give it a try after the good reviews on Yelp. Firstly, the restaurant is clean with a Grade A which is always a plus.... This is hands down some of of the best Chinese food in the NE Bronx. I had the Spicy Bourbon Chicken and Blackened Fish with Lomein; My son had the general tso chicken, bbq ribs and lomein. It's a good buffet place with a decent amount of variety. All the staples Chinese buffet fares are there and they're all up to par. I tried a little bit of everything and there wasn't anything that stuck out as particularly bad. I definitely left China Mia full and happy. We came here with a big group and the staff was very accommodating and very attentive with drinks and questions. Like I said above we definitely got our fill from our meal here. But to be honest the food wasn't better or worse than most buffet places. This restaurant is really far from where I live so, while I'll suggest this if I'm in the area I just don't see myself making the journey out to their establishment. Bit of a problem: The bathrooms weren't the cleanest. Buffet places are usually hit or miss with this. I really think the restrooms speak volumes about the care that goes into a restaurant. They might've just had an off day or I might've used the restroom at a bad time. Don't hold that against them.
