Two minutes, later the order was cancelled. Why on earth wouldn't you cancel the order sooner or call to tell us there was an issue? The Food was outstanding, I ordered the Kung Peo Chicken with Rice and an Egg Roll. This meal was fresh and delicious. The chicken was tender and the entire dish had taste, not to hot on the spicy side. The egg roll was cooked just perfect and the taste was amazing. The Service was grand and pleasant, very friendly. The Ambiance was a bit different than what I expected, you order your food at a window and wait patiently. Not a fancy place, just a a eatery with great food. They do have a few booths if you wish to dine in but I had mine to go. Overall I recommend this place to all who like Chinese Food. read more

Just ordered through grub hub, I usually have no issue with this place but for some reason today the delivery guy demanded more tip money despite getting tip by default. this is actually very rude. I never mind giving tip but I give what I can every time I order. For someone who works with clients and get tips I never demand it but when I get a tip I'm just happy they thought to give me something. The delivery guy was completely disgusting. I called to complain and the women on the phone seemed like she didn't even care. Lucky star if this is how you treat your customers I feel so bad for your businesse. Lots of hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurants in The Bronx. You might call 'em takeout joints, the Britons say takeaway, I call 'em restaurants. Maybe this one was special because I lived a 2 minute walk from it or maybe because it was the only Chinese restaurant within 14 blocks that passed the health exam with flying colors (and those 14 blocks housed a good 70 places, easy), but Lucky Star ranks as one of the coolest places I've ever eaten. Got to know the people who worked there and, man, the show was just as good as the food. They sound rude on the phone, but they're ok peoples in there. Ling was a smiley person but if you had the balls to take a knife to the misspelled awning, you were in trouble. I once saw this dude run 2 blocks in seconds and grab this kid like he was avenging a murder. It was at that moment when I thought "damn, no wonder their delivery is so fast!" I'd get their chicken chunks pretty much everyday as they were tasty and cheap and made great appetizers for any occasion. The only problem was you had to call and check to see if they had snow peas that day. The answer was usually no, but that's why you had 3 other places within 70 feet. Prompt, delicious, and a delight for the frugal. Get the fried dumplings and some french fries. read more

This is my family's favorite Chinese restaurant. The staff has always been kind and courteous with us in person or over the phone and there are times they've thrown in a free egg roll or canned soda. Holy mother of dumplings!!!! First time ordering from here and the food was amazing. The steamed pork dumplings were delicious!!! I also ordered chicken broccoli in garlic sauce with brown rice and I could not put my fork down. The prices are perfect in conjunction with the amount of food they provide. Very very rude and unprofessional to there customers, they don't care if you have a newborn or toddler at home they still want you to come outside and get the food and leave your child alone. The Food seemed a bit pricey but after getting my order delivered was more than satisfied. And the food is exactly what I expect from a Chinese fast food place. And when comparing it to other Chinese food places who deliver, they turned to be my first call when I feel like Chinese.
