This is my favorite Chinese spot in the Bronx. I worked in Chinatown for years and was so spoiled by the food there that I basically don't bother to eat ANY Chinese food outside of Chinese communities. But this is my one exception. This place is five stars all the way. I really thought I reviewed this place back in 2008. I called it No. 1 chinese or whatever. Maybe my review was dropped because this is the official name of the place. I usually order the white rice with chinese vegatables ($3.95). I seriously love the way they make the chinese vegatables. I also order chicken wings with pork fried rice sometimes. Wonton Soup here is great too. I also love the french fries here. There are the crinkle cut variety. They give you alot of rice, you know with the chicken wings and fried rice combo. I also agree with Tyrik, shrimp lo mein is really good too. read more

The service is good for what you expect from a Chinese restaurant in the bronx. I ordered for pick up and she hung up before telling me how long. It's busy for them at 10:40pm and they close at 11pm, so i get it. They have to deal with alot of headaches from customers in this area. The food is good. I think all Chinese restaurants have the same recipes and get there food from the same distributor. Keep up the good work guys. And anyone reading this should look up on Google or YouTube the history of Chinese food and how the u.s government made it hard for Chinese immigrants to get jobs here. Which helped created this amazing empire of Chinese restaurants over the past 75 years. read more

This place was far from #1. My experience was odd. A gentleman at the counter, when inquired about portion sizes, presented a white carton to me, threw it down, and mocked my inquiry. After that, I left. Do yourself a favor and eat in. read more

[Damn no review for this place..surprising] ***4.4 stars*** Me and my family always order from this chinese restaurant, because it's arguably the best chinese restaurant around where I live. The food is always flavored good...chicken wings always tasty and not BURNT. Rice is fresh and is not old. I like eating their shrimp lo mein with soy sauce, as well as their shrimp w/ broccoli - both flavored good. Very rarely is the food not acceptable when we call for delivery. I'm a fan...and have been a fan for a while now. So become a fan too..and visit here when you're in the area. read more

First time trying this place. I ordered scallops with mixed vegetables. It was excellent! Very fresh and tasty and a big variety of vegetables. The egg drop soup was good too. The delivery guy was very nice. The food was piping hot. I will try some other dishes. read more

I was pregnant and craving some Chinese food. I spent hours researching and calling for recommendations from friends. I finally settled on this restaurant at 9pm at night and anxiously waited. Even though my order was below the delivery minimum, they were very accommodating and delivered my order at no extra charge(gave extra tip for this). I ordered the chicken with vegetables in garlic sauce and veg. fried rice. The food was very fresh, the vegetable crisp, tasty and plenty and I now have a go to restaurant. Delivery was quick and the delivery guy was very courteous. After eating, I was a bit unsure if it was the hunger along with the pregnancy that affected my taste but I ordered again for my husband and I and he loved it. Moved into a new apt and wanted to order takeout, so yelped some nearby places and whadda ya know, one of the menus in my place had great reviews. Super! Called and ordered two dishes - shrimp with broccoli and hunan beef. A totally reasonable amount of time later someone shows up - yay! Money to him, food to me... open the bag and there is one single dish there - and it's something with chicken. So I call back, and explain the problem, and they say no problem. Then again, guy with food, money to him, and we're great - but still no shrimp dish. Call again... they have to have someone else call me back cause the lady can't understand my problem. Finally communicate the problem... And communicate that no, I'm not paying again cause I'm not going to pay for what I didn't order... Someone shows up and refuses to give me my food until I hand over the chicken dish - and he crouches on the floor in the hall and opens it to check and make sure I wasn't lying that it wasn't my food. Seriously? Then just leaves my replacement food and walks off with the chicken. No joke. No apology that it took three tries to deliver two dishes. And the food really wasn't good, to be honest (the broccoli was super bitter, no part of it was impressive). Especially not after the headache. read more
