Also their bubble tea is only tapioca and no flavors and is too over priced to get. No eat in. Hard to hear staff with the covid safety procedures they are taking which are the most I have ever scene yet they left the door open nullifying most of these benefits lol. Patronized Rich Restaurant on 12/16/21 I was surprised in that, there is new ownership. They apparently kept the same business name, Rich Restaurant unfortunately they did not maintain the same quality of food and or preperation. The eggroll that was provided, honestly not worth buying let alone eatin-simpl the worst eggroll I have EVER tasted. I ordered the sesame chicken with chicken fried rice, here again I was taken aback- the worst sesame chicken with chicken fried rice EVER! What was clearly posted, was that all orders would be charged an additional 75 cents and that all card payments would be assed/penalized an additional $2.50. First taste of hot and sour soup was disgustingly greasy and bland. No amount of rice vinegar or sriracha will fix this. House fried rice had no vegetables, no beef, tiny pieces of pork, chicken and the whitest egg I've ever seen and no flavor. I have not had some good ole' Chinese food in so long. I found this spot via Google. I was a bit skeptical given the reviews, there are conflicting reviews on both Google and Yelp, but I decided to try anyway and I'm glad I did. Rich restaurant is your standard NYC Chinese restaurant. All of the classics - shrimp and broccoli, general Tso's chicken, fried chicken wings etc. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and asked to place my order. Staff were very kind and courteous. I ordered a small shrimp with broccoli for $8, I thought that was a little pricey from what I'm used to. It was a great portion though and tasted delicious. The shrimp and broccoli were cooked well and contained a great ratio of protein and veggies. I will definitely be returning and recommend to others. read more

My family was waiting for 5 months to taste the Hot and sour soup the fried chicken wings and the fried rice . We were so excited when the restaurant finally opened again. However when I picked up the food I noticed that the staff was new. As soon as I looked at the soup and the fried rice I knew it will not be the same as 5 months ago. This is my go to Chinese take out place in the area. I think I've tried every Chinese take out menu that have been dropped off to me and this place, by far, has the best noodles. I almost always order the vegetable lo mein with two hot oils - yum. The only thing I've noticed is that there aren't very many vegetables in the dish, so I ask for it with broccoli specifically. This is my favorite Chinese restaurant. My favorite dish is the Happy Family which has Chicken, shrimp, real lobster, scallops, pork and beef. It's pretty awesome for a $12-$13 dish. The chicken with broccoli is also excellent and the spare ribs are pretty good. The weakness of this place is that there is no seating. The worst of of the two was I ordered food that came to about $25 for my wife and son . They delivered the food and when they did out of the 4 things I ordered I was given only one and a liter soda. I called back to have the guy tell me that wasn't what I ordered when it clearly was because he circled everything on the menu when he sent the bag of food. Told me his driver wouldn't come back to give me my money and take my food that I would have to come to their place. I went straight over to have the idiot tell me that a rib tips and rice with soda that they gave me was worth the $30 I gave the driver (25+tip) after I flipped out the genius there took money out the register and threw it to me. I have been at rich restaurant for a while now. And I can most definitely say that this is by far the best Chinese food I've had. I don't know why the people who gave it one star even did in the first place. First of all, they do wipe their tables, otherwise armies of ants probably would have attacked the table by now. Second, there isn't any roaches in the picture haven't seen one. Even if there was, you can't forget about the big fast food chain restaurants and there habits to. They probably are worser than them. There food is fresh and has so much flavor I would go for round two. I could see why some people would look down on this place but I think they have misjudged this place for what it really is. And service is really good. Honestly, you would probably have to be a complete asshole to piss them off. They always remember my order perfectly and it's the best.
