Field Of Green- (Plain Broccoli In Sauce)- Super Good
    Mercedes C.

My good friend from Portland, OR and I talked about what constitutes 'real good broccoli' with brown sauce. And as she mentioned, it shouldn't be mushy or yellow. And I TOTALLY agree. But I will add sauce to that equation. Not every Chinese take out spot is created equal- plus I'm super, super, super, super, super, super picky with my Broccoli. So much so- I only judge a neighborhood Chinese take out joint by their Broccoli and brown sauce- ALONE. Everything else might come second. Linda's located on E. Tremont in Throggs Neck. It's a true hole-in-the-wall. Boxes are stacked against the walls, soda crates lined up and other random "stuff" around- it's really a turn-off. But a few of my coworkers swear by this place- plus I've been feening for good ol' "Chinese take out" Broccoli for a while. By the way- floor and cooking area are clean.....just saying. Ventilation is ok- I did absorb some food smells- nothing too bad really- but hey....it's a take out spot. My Broccoli in brown sauce was delicious. Broccoli was super fresh, green, crispy- but not raw, brown sauce wasn't a brown mush mess- it had a very nice ratio of ingredients. And price was good too- just paid $5!

Nice and fresh meat in side the wonton.

I was looking for a good wonton soup. This wasn't bad. We ordered fried dumplings, spare ribs, chicken noodle soup and the wonton soup. Food was ready on time.

This little hole in the wall Chinese restaurant has the best Chinese food from any Chinese restaurant I've tried in NYC. Not only that but they hook it up here to a point of excess no matter what you're getting. Extra pork in their pork fried rice at no extra cost. They give you large amounts of chicken whenever you order a plate of chicken & Broccoli. Their rice always tastes fresh. I've been to too many Chinese restaurants in the Bronx where a chicken & broccoli plate comes with mostly all broccoli and hardly any pieces of chicken. Linda's restaurant is completely the opposite. There's around 3 Chinese restaurants closer to my apartment than Linda's. I bypass all of them to come and pick up my food from here.

For the most part food is good, better than any other in the area. Been ordering from them for years. Love the wings and the ribs.

Their service is amazing always, they are very attentive and make sure to make their customers feel welcome and appreciated. Food here is always delicious and made to perfection!! Definitely a must to try different appetizers, their soup dumplings are to die for!!! I wish there were more locations of this in Manhattan. We made an order at the desk before we seated ourselves and for a Saturday evening, there was quite a bit of open tables which was great. I ordered the Szechuan Braised Beef Noodles and they were absolutely delicious. The noodles tasted a bit like ramen noodles but they were able to grab all the delicious and garlic flavored soup. I really appreciated the soft-boiled egg with its marinated egg whites. I also loved the big tender beef chunks as well. Overall, I really cannot wait to go back to Zhongzhong noodles and I hope that they open up more locations. I will say though that since I last went to the Roosevelt Island location, they have raised their prices quite a bit - maybe $2 or $3 per dish.

We have a staple restaurant from which we always order but one of this place's dishes stuck out to me and had great reviews so that was what made me take a chance with them. I saw this picture of their Shrimp Chow Mei Fun everywhere and the shrimp were huge. People said it was a really good dish so I had to try it. I will say that it tastes really good but this recession has definitely affected the shrimp size. They serve medium-sized shrimp in this dish and the pictures where saw extra large shrimp, are likely no more. The flavor was still really good and I suggest asking for some chili oil as well, if you don't have any at home. That's a game-changer. We had their sesame chicken, shrimp dumplings, sautéed broccoli and wonton soup, which were all very good. They even pan fried the dumplings as requested. Their shrimp and egg rolls were fried very hard which I don't like. It's a little difficult for my daughter to eat the hard exterior as well. The fantail shrimp were very sad. I'm used to them being mostly breading but these are ridiculous. The shrimp size is a fourth of the overall breading. If it's getting too expensive to serve them, they may want to take them off the menu entirely and just serve fried shrimp or popcorn shrimp. They were literally that size. The house fried rice was also not a favorite. I'm not into super dark fried rice and it just seemed really hard. This is your run-of-the-mill neighborhood Chinese takeout spots I wasn't expecting gold standards but now I know how to order from them in the future if I ever have another craving for their Chow Mei Fun.
