Thit Kho/Claypot Braised Pork Belly. $15.95. They loved it
    Glenn C.

Note- Rating is for the area. If this were, let's say, the East Village or closer to Chinatown, I'd drop it down a star. I was at this Vietnamese restaurant with three others a while back. The inside is casual, and the service was friendly. I thought about getting one of their drinks, but unfortunately, they couldn't make it that day. For food, we split a bunch of small plates, and people ordered their main dishes separately afterwards. Our first appetizer was the Dậu Hủ Ky/Tau Hu Ky/Crispy Shrimp Dumpling for $11.95, which consisted of seasoned and grounded shrimp, crisp tofu skin wrap, and house pickles. The outside tofu skin was very crispy and slightly oily, creating an interesting textural contrast with the soft, bouncy center where the shrimp was. There was also some nuoc cham on the side, with a bit of sweetness. The pickles consisted of the typical carrots. This was pretty good. The other dish we split was the better $11.95 Banh Mi Brisket and Bone Marrow, with pulled beef, spicy bone marrow, and an egg upon request. This was on the slightly sweet end with the tender brisket braised in five-spice, presumably. Otherwise, it fell apart slightly from the juiciness of the meat, combined with the pickled vegetables. To add more heat, there was also some fresh-sliced jalapeño. While obviously not as good as some other bahn mi specialty shops or some of the better Vietnamese spots opening up more recently, this was still good. My main dish, along with another person, was one of their many soups. This was the Bún Bò Huế/Spicy Beef Noodle Soup for $15.95, listed as Hue Province (Central) spicy beef broth, pork knuckle, sliced beef brisket, and sliced sausage. This was a bit less spicy with less umami than I expected, but it was still pretty well flavored. There was also plenty of meat inside, including several pieces of pork knuckle, and a lot of noodles on the bottom, which were bouncy. This came with the usual assortment of greens, as with typical pho. The other person, who had the same dish as I did, ordered a Dầu Cháo Quẩy, or rather, in this case, a Thêm Quẩy/Soup Doughnut, for an extra $3. This was the Vietnamese version of a Chinese cruller, or Youtiao, and was nice dipped in the broth. As for the other two, one of them got the $14.95 Phở Cha/Vegan Pho with added Bò Viên/Beef Meatballs for an additional $3. They seemed to like it and took some of it home. The last person went with and loved the $15.95 Thit Kho/Claypot Braised Pork Belly, which looked excellent and, honestly, better than my dish, at least in appearance. We had a pretty good Vietnamese meal here. It's above average compared to the typical spot, but I likely wouldn't trek all the way back up the subway to go back here. If I were, I would likely get their Cơm tấm/Broken Rice next time, as that dish looked excellent at another table.

What a fantastic gem to have in the Bronx. I was in town visiting family and decided to have lunch here. I was curious what they had to offer and wanted to compare it to the amazing Vietnamese food I've both in Vietnam and in Virginia. We tried their pho, spring rolls, and spring rolls noodle dish (I mistakenly thought I ordered the bun cha pork meatballs but it was spring rolls). The pho was perfectly seasoned and rich. The spring rolls were the authentic since you could tell they used rice paper instead a wheat dough wrapper and were absolutely delicious. The prices were very reasonable and the service was great. It was my sister's first time trying Vietnamese food, by the way, and she love it. I can't wait to go back next time I'm in town to try more of their menu.

Overall, the food and service were excellent! The real star of that meal was the appetizers in my opinion. I came in with 2 others in my party without a reservation around 1:40 on a Saturday with the tables half filled and got seated immediately. The menu was on a QR code provided at the table. The wait for the first two appetizers (crispy spring roll & crispy shrimp dumplings) ~15 min. They used the same dipping sauce which tasted like a sweet vinegar. Both were exceptionally crunchy and there were a lot of crispy shrimp rolls to share. If you're feeling adventurous, definitely go for the crispy shrimp dumplings. The next appetizer came soon after and it was the hot wings which tasted more sweet than spicy. It was crunchy but it was still very good all round. Batter was flavorful and the actual meat was juicy. One of the best Asian style wings I've had. Finally the bahn mi (we ordered the one with bone marrow), and both pho came out. The pho's broth was nice and you can taste the aromatics which was a pleasant surprise. My only complaint would be the rice noodles sticking together when it was served meaning it was like eating a block of noodles at times. However overall good pho.

Was in the area so stopped by for dinner! Fast service with a QR menu code and attentive waiters. Their 2018 Michelin Guide sign was also quick to catch my eye. Tried the spring rolls which were delicious but almost $12! Saw a lot of employees sit down after to chow down on some hot wings so if I find my way back, I'll try those. Bun bo hue was good but not the best. Brisket and bone marrow bahn mi was good but also not the best. Was not bursting with flavor and the baguette was not soft and warm but not crispy if thats what you are a fan of. Overall, good place if you are nearby but would not go out of my way. Would focus on their vermicelli bowls, rice dishes or hot wings!

This is a small restaurant with a great big impact on their food. Everyone is so helpful and nice. I cannot wait to go back and try the other items on their menu.

I rarely ever write a second review, but honestly, this place deserves it. This is my go-to pho spot in New York, hands down. The broth is so flavorful -- rich, aromatic, and deeply satisfying -- and it's the only place in the city that consistently hits the spot for me. My husband and I have our usual combo: Beef pho (with extra raw meat) Beef rolls Summer rolls Everything together usually comes out to around $65 total for two, which is kind of amazing considering how full we both get -- we almost always leave with leftovers! Finding that kind of value in NYC feels nearly impossible these days. A few tips: Eat in person. Delivery just doesn't do it justice -- the broth and noodles never hold up as well, and something always gets mixed up. Expect crowds. It's a popular spot, especially in colder months, so you might end up at whatever table is free. All in all, this place is a gem. Warm, hearty, and full of flavor -- it's the kind of pho that makes you forget about the rest of the world for a moment. I can't wait to go back!

Stopped by Pho NK Com Ga Ninh Kieu after spending some time at Ocean Casino and wanted to get some fresh air--it's about a 10-minute walk and a nice break from the casino atmosphere. The food was decent overall. The pho broth stood out the most--it was flavorful and comforting without being too heavy. The noodles were cooked well, but the meat (both beef and chicken) was just okay and could use some improvement in quality and tenderness. I also tried the spring rolls, which were crispy and delicious--definitely one of the highlights of the meal. The spot itself is casual and good for a quick bite rather than a long sit-down meal. Service was friendly and efficient. Overall, a decent option if you're nearby and craving Vietnamese food, especially for the broth and appetizers, but the meat quality could be better.

I brought my brother here who was visiting from the west coast and was really excited to try some pho on the east coast. The restaurant had a pleasant vibe from my last visit. This particular visit I decided to dine in because I also brought my daughters along with us. My picky eater order a sandwich, we got some wings, pho, spring rolls, and some garlic noodles. We enjoyed everything from the service to the food. I was so happy that my picky eater enjoyed her sandwich, because she doesn't like anything lol. The only thing that was not good was the garlic noodles. We would order everything else again. As for my brother he enjoyed his pho, but he said the west coast had more options. Thumbs up and Happy Yelping!

Was feeling under the weather and ordered pho to go and it was very delicious. A generous amount of broth, noodles and chicken for the price. I wish the chicken would have been cut up more and more seasoned. However I will be coming back the staff was very generous.

One of our favorite restaurants ever. We love Com Tam Ninh Kieu. Food is always phenomenal and delicious. We had a lunch date today. I love how crispy the chicken was just how I like it. Everything was delicious as always. I love the lime soda omg. Stop by everyone and check it out the best Vietnamese restaurant ever you won't be disappointed. Thanks for having us. The spring rolls are out of this world.

Pretty decent viet food. The meats were a bit dry on the pho chicken and the pork chop we had with the noodle salad. The best was the fried chicken.

Ordered the brisket and bone marrow bahn mi from here on Thursday for a pick up at around 5pm. The bread really detracted from the sandwich, it was so meh, not crispy/crunchy or tasting especially fresh. The fillings were overall okay but shockingly as hungry as I was I couldn't bring myself to finish the bahn mi. Bonus they're really close to a great park

Wow wow wow!!! Why didn't I find this gem before. I have been craving their food since I tried them last week. I had the garlic veggie rice bowl, homemade lime soda & iced coffee. Everything was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is a little small so I personally would just be doing take out however service was super friendly, fast & packaging is well thought out. I see why they received a Michelin star. Delicious!!!!

The staff are incredibly fun and friendly, always ready to serve up delicious, authentic Vietnamese food--or pizza, if that's what you're in the mood for. On paper, VPho is an odd mix: New York-style pizza by the slice or pie alongside flavorful Vietnamese dishes. But somehow, it works. The location still has classic pizza shop vibes but has plenty of seating for smaller groups. Prices are very reasonable, and for my Pelham Parkway locals, here's a solid move--grab some bánh mì to go on your way to a Yankees game. Whether you're craving a great slice or some legit Vietnamese food, this spot delivers. And don't forget to say hello to my guy Miguel, the local pizza legend.

When I told him this was unacceptable and that I would stop ordering, he became aggressive, ran toward me in a threatening way, and made a sexist remark, saying the only reason he didn't hit me was because I "don't have a dick." When I walked back inside, security guards were concerned for my safety. Disgusting, intimidating behavior from an owner, and his comment showed clear contempt toward women. This place feels like a hidden gem you almost want to keep secret... but it's just too good not to share. What makes Pho Metro stand out right away is how authentic it feels. You can tell this is truly a labor of love. One guy runs the show and somehow manages to do it all, from cooking to serving, and the care he puts into the food absolutely shows in every single bite. It has that comforting, homemade quality that makes you feel like you've stepped into a small family kitchen rather than just another restaurant. The food itself is outstanding. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, from the herbs to the broth. I highly recommend the thin noodles with the spicy lemongrass broth (you can request this if it's not listed). It's bursting with flavor, slightly tangy, perfectly spicy, and deeply savory in a way that warms you from the inside out. Every spoonful feels like a cozy blanket on a cold day. The summer rolls are another must-order. They're fresh, light, and packed with flavor, and the peanut sauce that comes with them is absolutely delicious. It's rich, savory, and addictive enough that you'll find yourself scraping the cup to get every last drop. Another detail I really appreciated is how everything you need is right at your fingertips. All the sauces are readily available at the table, so you can customize your bowl exactly how you like it without having to ask or wait. It makes the whole experience feel easy, comfortable, and welcoming. And don't skip the Thai iced tea. It's perfectly sweet, creamy, and refreshing, especially alongside the bold flavors of the pho. It's the kind of drink that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. Overall, this place delivers on flavor, authenticity, and heart. It's rare to find a spot where you can truly taste the effort and pride in every dish, but Pho Metro does exactly that. I will absolutely be returning again and again.
