    House Special Waffle

I got the House Special Waffle and maybe it's because I was very hungy but it was so gas. The fruit, chocolate. and lotus go soo well together. They also have so many topping and dessert options. The waffle was fluffy, fresh, and crunchy. A bit small for $12 though. Service was decent. The inside is cute but there's no seating.

Chocolate House is a small gem (no seating) in the middle of the busy 161st Street- Yankee Stadium section of the Bronx. Staff is so friendly and helpful in making dessert suggestions as they carry many different dessert toppings for the likes of crepes, waffles, and milkshakes. I came prepared this time around and looked at the menu ahead of time. I found it very overwhelming the first time I went to make a choice as they carry so many different assortments of toppings (fruit, nutella, biscoff, etc). I decided on a waffle stick with strawberries drizzed in dark chocolate, a nutella banana crepe, and strawberry milkshake- and my food just got tastier with each choice.

Was able to get a photo before our crepes were gone! I heard about this place last month when the 2024 Yelp restaurants of the year came out for the Bronx. So i finally visited and was so pleased. The people working were kind and quick with our order! Came home and the crepes were out of this world amazing! I look forward to ordering from here soon!

I TRAVELED to this spot because they were brand new at the time. I am a pistachio lover so I had to try and buy their pistachio waffle stick and pistachio churros chefs kiss only thing is you HAVE to eat them while it's hot and fresh.

This nook is very cute and trendy. Very popular judging by the amount of people in and out. They sell a variety of crepes and waffles. They also do chocolate covered fruits and brownie sundaes. We ordered a Banana Foster crepe whwhich had banana, caramel and pecans. We also ordered a blonde brownie sundae but received a regular brownie sundae smothered in milk chocolate instead. The wait did not take long. Servers were fun and pleasant though clearly a bit overwhelmed by the excessive amount of customers. I didn't favor the brownie being drowned in chocolate since I wanted the blondie and I'm not a huge fan of chocolate itself. I did love the crepe and wwill be back to try other flavors and things.

Went a while back after the end of the game at Yankee Stadium. Loved that was just a short distance walk from the stadium. Staff were very attentive and friendly and had no problem explaining the menu to us. And the wait wasn't long at all for being the weekend. I just knew I had to try their Dubai Chocolate Strawberry cup and it was amazing! I was NOT disappointed :)

Love this new addition to the Bronx - right next to Yankees stadium. Everything is made fresh in-house. I loved the Rocky Mountain crepe, fruity pebbles milkshake, waffles + brownie sundae. And who could leave without getting chocolate covered strawberries? The staff is so friendly and fast at preparing everything. Please go support this neighborhood gem!

Visit Chocolate House!! Initially, I walked past them when I was making my way up to the Grand Concourse. It is a tiny spot with no indoor seating. However, they have a cute flower wall with the ""Chocolate House sign"" and a chocolate fountain. Anyone that loves desserts, add this place to your list! They have really great crepes with so many options for fillings. I got a crepe and the strawberry cheesecake. I was so focused on the desserts that I forgot to take pictures. I would give the cheesecake an 8/10. The crust and cheesecake flavor is good. They also drizzle it with white chocolate and strawberry sauce. The crepes are really delicious and freshly made - 8.5/10. Next time, I have to try the milkshakes that everyone kept coming in and ordering. The staff is super cool and they seem to appreciate everyone's excitement when reading the menu. Trust that you are going to want to get multiple things!

It would not have been such an inconvenience if it wasn't raining and there was no place to stand for 2 hours. I hopped back on the subway as my only option as I was hungry, cold and wet. After taking the wrong direction to Marcy Ave and getting back on track decided to come back. Got here and asked for the NY Cheesecake crepe with Carmel instead of chocolate and he said he has to CHARGE me for Carmel instead of chocolate. Huh! I explained that I took the subway twice $3 each way because when I got here, the food delivery truck was outside delivering boxes and the sign said opening a 1 pm. Mind you I already said it was my second time here today when I walked in. Really!?! Terrible customer service!!!!!! I'm from out of town but yikes! I left Times Square to visit this small business in the rain. The $19 crepe was decent.

Being only a few blocks away and rated fairly high, Creperie popped up on my search so I knew I had to stop by on one of my evening walks back from the office. Although a rather tiny little shop, Creperies manages to still have some very limited seating right outside. As well as counter space inside the shop if you don't mind standing and crowding with other people waiting for their orders. I ordered the Strawberry and Banana crepe as it seemed to be a popular option. Size-wise, this crepe is pretty hefty and filling. Comes in an aluminum container so it's much less messy to grab and go. Although sweet, I felt the crepe itself was just ok. Nothing about it really stood out nor made it particularly memorable. They offer both sweet and savory crepes here if you want to make a meal out of it.

A few more details because I have grown to love this place:…read more First, a definite highlight -- they have FREE coffee top ups (extra hot water for tea), which is unheard of in NYC and also makes it a great deal! The creamed spinach crepe and smash burgers are also amazing. Love their Sunday brunch vibe (they were closed last Sunday and we were very bummed about it).

Upon entering, there's a bar and crepe making station, with plenty of seating throughout, along with an outdoor area in the back. My friend had called previously to try to make a reservation, but was told the place doesn't accept them. When we arrived and asked if we could be seated together as much as possible, the hostess was not the nicest about it, saying we need to let the restaurant know in advance, which we tried to do. She proceeded to state that we would need to order a mix of crepes and from the dinner menu. Mind you, this is a newish business and there was nobody dining there at the time. Our group agreed to order from both the crepe and dinner menu, so we were able to all sit together toward the indoor back area. I ended up sharing an entree and crepe with a friend. We ordered the Steak Frites and Ground Beef savory Crepe. The Steak Frites consisted of hanger steak with garlic butter and fries. This was delicious! Steak was slightly crispy on the edges, juicy, and full of wonderful flavor from the butter. The fries were satisfyingly crispy and delightfully potato-y. As the Crepes were made, the yummy scent permeated the restaurant. The Crepe was also tasty, and wish I was able to try ground beef Crepe mixed with caramelized onion, but my friend asked for that to be left out. This was cooked perfectly and the tender, well seasoned beef combined well with the gooey melty cheese. For dessert, I had a scoop of Coffee Gelato, which was already pre scooped and served in a glass cup. This was pretty good, nicely creamy, and not too sweet. However, it tasted more like regular ice cream than gelato. Service in the beginning wasn't the best, but definitely improved. Our waiters were pleasant. As there are 100 types of Crepe on the menu, I would return to try some Crepes, both savory and sweet, such as Ham, Brie, Tomato and Pesto; Nutella, Marshmallows, Graham Crackers and Chocolate Drizzle; Guava, Ricotta and Chocolate Sauce, as well as Apple, Dulce de Leche and Cinnamon.

CREPES NYC On one of…read moremy few visits last Winter 2021 to Bay Plaza Mall, I spied from the corner of my eye a shuttered Crepe eatery. My thoughts were, this must be one of many spots to succumb to the dreaded Coronavirus. Fast forwarding to Spring 2022, I noticed Crepes NYC open. Cool! I have been longing for a crepe that would bring back happy thoughts of my Paris visit. I wanted to test the product and opted for the Classic: Butter, Lemon and Sugar, as that's all that is needed imo when it comes to a crepe. Nope, wait, there's one more item, Nutella of course. The hot crepe was served with Whipped Cream. I didn't ask for whipped cream. It ended up melting, making the crepe soggy. Regrettably, Crepes NYC missed the mark. What I received I wouldn't call a crepe. It was a smidge too thick, which threw the texture off and to add it was burnt. One bite and a half and I unfortunately had to throw it out. Too thick and soggy. Weird. Another disappointing experience. I guess I'll have to add learning how to make my own crepes or take a trip back to Paris. I'd prefer the latter. Sorry Bronxites, Crepes NYC is giving you their distorted version of a crepe. It might be good for some, though I know it's not good for me. I definitely won't be back.
