Mixed berry and apple crumb pies

My go-to for shareable baked items (especially PIE) in Harlem! Can't beat an adorable and delicious apple pie for 10 bucks. I've brought their pies to countless block parties and picnics, and they're the ultimate crowd pleaser! The Napoleons and cannolis were also great, though I found the Oreo cake to be a bit dry. Overall, highly recommend trying out any of the many assortment of treats they have here! Note that they're cash only.

    Lobster tail with custard filling

Man o man! Pray for my waistline ! So many delicious options but, the lobster tail was calling my name! I had the option of choosing a custard or, cannoli filling and decided to go with both- when in Rome! The custard was my favorite because it was so light and airy, not dense at all and just paired so well with the flaky crust and sprinkled powdered sugar. Definitely found my new bakery spot!

    Jawbreaker!!!! The best!

Guys.... so I'm a big time biscotti connoisseur and always on the hunt for the best. My boyfriend grew up in the Bronx and the last time we drove to visit his mom he took me to Morris Park Bake Shop. I have never seen a larger array of biscotti in my life! They must have 15 DIFFERENT KINDS! From original, to cranberry walnut, to my absolute favorite which is typically hard to find called the JAWBREAKER biscotti. So biscotti is originally quite hard since it's twice baked, but the jawbreaker - true to it's name - is triple baked so it's extra hard and crunchy. It's truly the best I have ever had not only in New York but in the United States! As far as other pastries here, I wasn't impressed. Would've given 5 stars for their biscotti but I tried the rainbow cookies and chocolate covered pretzels which were both just blah. But please please order the jawbreaker biscotti. It will knock your socks off. Totally YUM!

Absolutely the best bakery cakes, pies, cannolis, pastries and cookies in the area. This is indeed a historic gem in the Bronx.

Stopped by today. Really nice assortment of pastries. Old charming place that my research shows was once a German establishment. I love old world bakeries and glad I stopped by. The one rainbow cookie I had was delicious. The only reason 4 stars is because the young lady while cute and efficient was somewhat cold. No smile. No good energy. It was as if she didn't want to be there or thinks highly of herself. She can improve her attitude.

    Fruit tart

I love their fruit tarts. This is a very old school Bakery located at Morris Park Avenue. My friends at Einstein used to buy cakes, cheesecakes or fruit tarts from here for our birthday celebrations . Thats how I got to learn about this shop. Good thing is: they have a huge selection of sweets. I am not a sweet expert but been to the shop physically once, there are plenty of options. And they all look yummy! I just love fruit tarts when it comes to sweets and their tarts are very fresh and tasty. The crust has a distinct buttery taste that I like. And I can eat the whole small tart at one sitting! My only issue with them is they work with cash only. I mean why?? at this age, how many shops are left as cash only... I just can not wrap my head around why they wont accept credit cards... Thank god there is Chase close by so I can come prepared.

The cheesecake tasted like cement. However the service was nice. Cheap prices as well. Very cozy space. 4/5.

    Do you deliver?

They do not deliver unfortunately. I was wondering the same thing so I checked them out on the internet. It says on their yelp page that they don't offer delivery. Too bad.

They came up highly recommended, that always makes me a little apprehensive. They were right! Got there around 1is, not crowded but there were some patrons - looked like regulars. We got seated right away. Service could not have been better and I base a lot of my reviews on that. One of the staff was clearing the table and accidentally brushed against me, he barely touched me - he couldn't have been more apologetic. Very impressive, I assume management trained him and kudos to them for that! Food was next level! Calamari app was tasty, fresh, tender and delicious. I had the Filet of Sole and it was in an egg batter that was very tasty and perfect. I know it was good because my son had several bites! He also had the gnocchi and I don't think he took a breath while eating it. Definitely be back if I'm in the area again.

The Mediterranean salad had no tomatoes or cucumbers which is pretty standard in a Mediterranean salad. No bread came on the side. Typical Italian restaurants will always provide a bread on the side. The chicken was ok. The seafood pasta lacked flavor. It's as if the seafood was just boiled without lemon, butter, wine etc. it had no flavor ! I requested utensils and to go items (plates, napkins) and the ordered came with nothing. Big disappointment won't be returning.

*Service Review / Not Food Review*…read more TL;DR: Cheesecake arrived at an unsafe temp and had to throw it away, because no temperature control was given to the packaging. No exchange or refund was issued. Unfortunately, I had a poor service experience. I ordered a NY cheesecake for my girlfriend and had it shipped to California. I wanted to surprise her with her favorite dessert from the city of its origin. I thought it would've been a great experience for the both of us. After reading on Reddit of the best cheesecake places in NY, S&S was recommended a few times, so I figured I'd give it a try. I ordered it using their 2 day delivery service, since overnight would make it too expensive for me, but figured it'd be fine since there would probably be ice packs or something of the sort to help keep the cheesecake cool during its travel. The cheesecake arrived and to my surprise, it was just a normal cheesecake to-go box inside of a FedEx box, with no type of insulation to keep it temperature controlled. Sadly, upon a reading temperature of 64 degrees, it entered the temperature danger zone, and was unsafe to eat it, so I had to throw it away. I emailed the business and didn't receive a response, so I called them, and the owner talked to me. I tried to explain the situation, and he said, "I've been doing this for over 50 years. If you were worried about the temperature, maybe you should've ordered overnight. My cheesecake is fine at room temperature. I can leave mine out for two days at room temperature and it'd still taste great and be fine." There was no winning an exchange or refund on this man's part. I sadly had to take my losses and go. I understand ordering overnight would've been the best possible course of action, but I figured some type of care would've been considered for a dairy product that is being shipped through air, across the country. If your product can't be safe to eat upon arrival, why offer that service with that shipping time option? Crazy, how that store policy is not honored. Note: I was really sad, because the cheesecake did look delicious too.
