    Little red velvet treat
    Robin T.

This bakery is close to where I run errands so I like to pop in once every couple months for a treat. They have a good selection of cookies, cakes, donuts, and other little delights. I usually go for the little red velvet squares but I've also tried the carrot cake and chocolate square. A few times, Ive had a piece that was a little hard compared to the usual texture of cake. My thought was that it was older or sat out all day. But for the most part, that red velvet is a favorite

    Lobster tail with custard filling

Man o man! Pray for my waistline ! So many delicious options but, the lobster tail was calling my name! I had the option of choosing a custard or, cannoli filling and decided to go with both- when in Rome! The custard was my favorite because it was so light and airy, not dense at all and just paired so well with the flaky crust and sprinkled powdered sugar. Definitely found my new bakery spot!

Absolutely the best bakery cakes, pies, cannolis, pastries and cookies in the area. This is indeed a historic gem in the Bronx.

    Jawbreaker!!!! The best!

Guys.... so I'm a big time biscotti connoisseur and always on the hunt for the best. My boyfriend grew up in the Bronx and the last time we drove to visit his mom he took me to Morris Park Bake Shop. I have never seen a larger array of biscotti in my life! They must have 15 DIFFERENT KINDS! From original, to cranberry walnut, to my absolute favorite which is typically hard to find called the JAWBREAKER biscotti. So biscotti is originally quite hard since it's twice baked, but the jawbreaker - true to it's name - is triple baked so it's extra hard and crunchy. It's truly the best I have ever had not only in New York but in the United States! As far as other pastries here, I wasn't impressed. Would've given 5 stars for their biscotti but I tried the rainbow cookies and chocolate covered pretzels which were both just blah. But please please order the jawbreaker biscotti. It will knock your socks off. Totally YUM!

Stopped by today. Really nice assortment of pastries. Old charming place that my research shows was once a German establishment. I love old world bakeries and glad I stopped by. The one rainbow cookie I had was delicious. The only reason 4 stars is because the young lady while cute and efficient was somewhat cold. No smile. No good energy. It was as if she didn't want to be there or thinks highly of herself. She can improve her attitude.

    Fruit tart

I love their fruit tarts. This is a very old school Bakery located at Morris Park Avenue. My friends at Einstein used to buy cakes, cheesecakes or fruit tarts from here for our birthday celebrations . Thats how I got to learn about this shop. Good thing is: they have a huge selection of sweets. I am not a sweet expert but been to the shop physically once, there are plenty of options. And they all look yummy! I just love fruit tarts when it comes to sweets and their tarts are very fresh and tasty. The crust has a distinct buttery taste that I like. And I can eat the whole small tart at one sitting! My only issue with them is they work with cash only. I mean why?? at this age, how many shops are left as cash only... I just can not wrap my head around why they wont accept credit cards... Thank god there is Chase close by so I can come prepared.

The cheesecake tasted like cement. However the service was nice. Cheap prices as well. Very cozy space. 4/5.

    Do you deliver?

They do not deliver unfortunately. I was wondering the same thing so I checked them out on the internet. It says on their yelp page that they don't offer delivery. Too bad.

In a part of Morris Park that's changed, Conti's is a great asset. My constructive criticism on Conti's. I ordered 2 cakes online. Paid in full for both last week. They gave me a pickup window 9AM. I show up early & there's a big line. I ask a worker & she says there's 1 line. She states there's 1 line for picking up a cake paid in full, ordering a new cake, getting coffee, getting pastries. Guys NO GOOD! Why pay in full & order a week prior? You should have 2/3 lines. 1 line picking up cakes paid in full only. 1 bread line only. 1 line for new orders. I mean this criticism as constructive

I remember when Conties would price the specialty cheesecakes to $30-$35 max. a 12inch pistatchio cheesecake is $46???? i know for a fact the employees dont get paid enough for the price of a cheesecake to increase that dramatically. one of the girls said the pies/cakes are made a week before they're sold, so the price on soon to expire pastries is insane. for $46 dollars I can get a larger and better quality cheesecake in Manhattan. The ladies behind the counter look unhappy and find every request to be inconvenient. this place is definitely ripping you off. UPDATE: I opened the box of cookies for my friend, she reached for the first cookie and as soon as she took a bite, she pulled out a blond hair from the cookie. $22 dollars for cookies full of hair. I'm never going back.

I just wanted to thank you personally for the wonderful cake you created in honour of my 50th birthday. I was so impressed and so was everyone else!!! Your attention to detail is incredible and very much appreciated. From the individual blades of grass, delicate little flowers, strands of hair blowing in the wind and the specs (how on earth did you do those?!) It seemed such a shame to have to cut into it, but I'm glad we did because the cake itself was a delicious light sponge with a delicate orangey tang and creamy butter icing, just perfect and just what I wanted J. Your creativity and artistry really made my party-meal special and I would certainly recommend you to all of my friends without hesitation. Rest assured that we will definitely be using your services to plan future family celebrations.

I went to the 9 w W burnside ave Bronx NY I ordered 2 dozens cupcakes I wanted that traditional Valencia taste. To my disappointment they were tuff so dry nobody even attempted to finish one. I call the store mine you I wasn't asking for a refund never mentioned that . I believe she was the owner didn't take it well . She said & I quote well maybe everyone didn't know how to eat them . We should've cut them & inverted them smh i said kids here we're not going to do that . Then she raved on how many orders a day come in& out and how one customer byes everyday that cupcake . Again I was polite reassuring her I loved Valencia & I said I wasn't trying & to insult her but she didn't for once apologize or take responsibility for her product or business. I'm so disappointed . She was so defensive & dismissive . Won't go there anymore .
