I don't give out a lot of 5 star reviews, but what a fantastic lunch. Spent some time at the Botanical Gardens (less than 10 minutes away) and did a quick search for lunch. They came up highly recommended, that always makes me a little apprehensive. They were right! Got there around 1is, not crowded but there were some patrons - looked like regulars. We got seated right away. Service could not have been better and I base a lot of my reviews on that. One of the staff was clearing the table and accidentally brushed against me, he barely touched me - he couldn't have been more apologetic. Very impressive, I assume management trained him and kudos to them for that! Food was next level! Calamari app was tasty, fresh, tender and delicious. I had the Filet of Sole and it was in an egg batter that was very tasty and perfect. I know it was good because my son had several bites! He also had the gnocchi and I don't think he took a breath while eating it. Definitely be back if I'm in the area again.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very nice big restaurant and friendly service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Off of the main strip, it is worth taking the extra minute to dine here. I love how they offer fresh pasta and their pizza is a delicious thin crispy crust with interesting toppings. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean and open dining space as well as a smaller room with huge windows for people watching![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Chicken Saltimbocca

Ordered for take out the seafood pasta, chicken saltimbuca, and the Mediterranean salad. The food was ok. For the expensive prices for the Bronx it was a bit disappointing. The Mediterranean salad had no tomatoes or cucumbers which is pretty standard in a Mediterranean salad. No bread came on the side. Typical Italian restaurants will always provide a bread on the side. The chicken was ok. The seafood pasta lacked flavor. It's as if the seafood was just boiled without lemon, butter, wine etc. it had no flavor ! I requested utensils and to go items (plates, napkins) and the ordered came with nothing. Big disappointment won't be returning.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Warm, inviting vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful interior & very friendly staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Delicious food & also has a rare Italian beer. Normal portion sizes - not crazy. My new fav Arthur Ave lunch restaurant, hands down. Can't wait to go back.

We were welcomed as soon as we walked in and immediately taken to our table. Service was prompt and attentive. The food was delicious. Everything that was served was done to perfection. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was clean and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Outstanding.

    Linguine alle Vongole

Well, we gave this place a try by recommendation. Unfortunately, it fell below expectations. We tried the veal saltimbocca and the Linguine Alle Vongole. The veal looked great but the flavor was truly lacking. Marsala-like sauce was watery without the rich flavor. Could be so much better. The clams were plentiful but needed a bit more linguine. The sauce was so watery and tasted like just clam juice with barely any flavor at all. Lacked the wine garlic deliciousness that normally comes with this dish. So, we won't be returning. Service was fast and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was pleasant overall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Just needs major improvement with food preparation. Flavor makes all the difference.

Our friends who live in the Bronx told us about the Little Italy area in the Bronx. Never heard of it but I am glad we went. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The area was very quaint and we got to have dinner here at Antonio's.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was very good and prompt. The food was outstanding and the wine was delicious. The bread basket arrived at the table promptly after seating but I noticed that it was room temperature. We asked for it to be warmed up and they did very quickly. My pork chop with onion and peppers was moist and very well made..I asked for no salt added. My husband's chicken dish was very good as well. Overall a great choice for great Italian in the area.

Fordham Alum for 10 years now and Antonio's continue to be a staple! Their pizza is still one of the best I had in NYC and you cannot beat their price for their chef kiss menu. Beats Manhattan anytime. Came with a family of 6 and paid $400 inc tip for 2 large apps, 7 dishes, and 2 sangria pitchers Their current special is the short rib - beef was so. So. Tender I ordered their short

This may be one, if not the best pepperoni pizza I've ever had. I grew up in NYC and Mimi's pizza was my "go to." This rivaled that long lost memory. It's hard to live up to a memory and they did it. The pepperoni was the perfect size, spread out evenly across the pizza. It got cooked to the perfect curl, enough to have a slight crisp, but still a good chew. My frutti di mare was spicy, as requested (it normally has a mild sauce) and the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. I had NY cheesecake for dessert, which was spot on. My cocktail was huge and strong. I luckily had a designated driver. The others in my party had chicken parm, pasta, and loved their dishes, too. You can't go wrong here and it deserves to be considered one of the best offerings of Arthur Avenue, the real Little Italy in NYC. Service as friendly, well paced, and accurate. Remember to tip well.

amazing service, offered to split portions tried the white wine clam pasta - seafood-y punch, perfectly seasoned. the linguini had a great bite the chicken parm a la vodka was the star of the show. super thin and juicy! great depth of tomato flavor in the pasta sauce

We came from Long Island to try out the famous Arthur Avenue district and this place got the highest reviews. The service was pretty spot on. Not sure if it was because the night was a quiet one (Friday) but everyone was super attentive. The food was okay. I wouldn't make a trip here but I guess if I was in the area, this is a place I'd go to. Seems like Arthur Ave may have lost its charm- not many Italian restaurants anymore- but this one is holding on.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Spent 2 1/2 hours here eating and drinking with the locals mid day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The veal cutlet parmigiana was amazing! The sauce and mozzarella were married to each other. This place has been on my radar for a long time. I just visit NYC once a year. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the vibe here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Period…read more If you want to know what real New York City pizza is supposed to taste like, stop looking and get to Louie & Ernie's on Crosby Ave. This isn't just a meal; it's a Bronx institution. The Vibe: Old School & Authentic This place is as "old school" as it gets. It's located in the basement of a house, and walking in feels like stepping back into 1959. There are no fancy decorations or "artisanal" gimmicks--just the smell of fresh dough and a gas oven that's probably seen more history than most museums. * Pro Tip: It is CASH ONLY. Don't be that person who gets to the counter with a card; come prepared. The Pizza: The Best in the Bronx I've had a lot of pizza, but this is easily the best in the borough. * The Crust: Paper-thin, perfectly salty, and has that signature "Bronx fold" with just the right amount of char on the bottom. * The Sausage: This is their claim to fame. They use huge, fresh chunks of sausage that are packed with flavor. It's heavy, it's greasy in the best way possible, and it's legendary. * The Sauce/Cheese: The ratio is perfection. The sauce is tangy and bright, and the mozzarella is creamy and never "rubbery." The Service The staff here are exactly what you want in a legendary neighborhood spot--friendly, fast, and no-nonsense. They keep the line moving, but they treat you like a regular even if it's your first time. Verdict: 10/10. It's simple, it's classic, and it's the king of the Bronx. If you haven't been, you're doing NYC wrong.

Unfortunately, the food I ate fell very short of my expectations. I ordered a few slices of both their regular pizza and Sicilian. The Sicilian slices barely had any sauce and too much dough that was not flavorful at all. The cheese did not taste that good either. The regular pizza slices also lacked flavor and sauce. They were also too thin and the crust was only a little crispy. The fresh mozzarella and tomato slice tasted the worst while the slice with pepperoni was somewhat better. I'm not sure if my experience with this restaurant is an outlier, but I was very disappointed with their food. If I am ever in the area where this pizzeria is located, maybe I might stop in to get a slice to see if eating in person leads to a better experience.

I enjoy the Chicken Parm, Meatballs, Pizza, Mozzarella Sticks & deserts! I definitely have a thing for their Vodka sauce too How's the food? The meatballs are so good.. Tender.. They fall apart which I like. Not big on huge, dense meatballs anyway.. These things taste amazing! You gotta try them.. The Chicken Parm with spaghetti in Vodka Sauce is one of my favorites dishes The chicken is nice and tender, sauce has a great flavor, cheese is nice and melted, pasta perfectly cooked and it's a pretty big portion! The Mozzarella Sticks are like no other! I'm telling you! They make them fresh on-site.. Not store bought frozen sticks where the cheese pops out the casing.. These things are the real deal.. The cheese is stringy, well melted.. And they're pretty big.. They don't skimp.. Good for like 2-3 people.. I can only eat one myself.. The Pizzas are pretty good too! I really enjoy the entry dishes but if I'm with a group, I'll get a pizza to share. They're pretty small anyway. My favorite dessert is the Conollis! They have a nice airy, light casing.. The ricotta filling is so flavorful and fluffy.. So on point The service staff is always welcoming, accommodating and super cool. Really good crew. The place itself is so chill. Layback atmosphere, some really cool music plays in the background, classic Hip Hop, Funk/Soul breaks and more.. historical art decor fills the walls and vibes are always right in the spot. Might even have some games on the TVs.. great spot altogether.. You can see the Pizza cook in their fire oven.. Pretty cool I think. So if you're looking for a really cool spot to munch at in the Bronx Kingsbridge Neighborhood, you should definitely check out Kingsbridge Social Club. It's a vibe! Have a good one yall! -Ray
