First time here and enjoyed our dinner. We started with Tempura combo rolls which included shrimp tempura roll, chicken tempura roll and cooked salmon roll served with Miso soup. It was very filling. Only downside was the waitress. It was a Saturday night and it was pretty empty in the front and she just looked and it felt like she was miserable. She was not friendly at all. We ignored her and focused on our meal. Will go back to try a different dish.

Ordered the party platter and it was a decent price for 5 special rolls! Will come back to try their lunch special!

Shrimp and avocado rolls. Tofu teriyaki, beef fried rice, soup and salad. Also vegetarian gyoza.

Ordered for delivery for the first time. The food came at the normal delivery time (30-40 min). The food was hot and smelled delicious. The bag was packed well nothing leaked. I ordered tofu teriyaki. It has 12 pieces with rice, soup and salad. I also ordered vegetarian gyoza, they had a delicious taste to them but the sauce on the side wasn't my favorite ( my boyfriend liked it though). For my last item I picked avocado roll. It is simple yet my favorite . My only problem is I'm a vegetarian and they put it next to his shrimp roll. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp roll which was fresh and delicious. He also got beef fried rice which was good. The only reason why 3 stars is because they mix vegetarian with fish. Also I never been inside so I'm not sure what it looks like and how they serve. Overall the food had great taste and worth ordering from them again. Next time I will go in and make an update.

Lunch Special - 3 small rolls (Tuna, Salmon, and Spicy salmon roll)

I've only ordered online from this shop but every time I receive my order, it's perfect! It arrives before the suggested time and everything is fresh. I absolutely love their lunch menu. My favorite from their menu are there Spicy Salmon and Tuna roll. If you want to order something fancy, try the Winter Roll (its delicious!) I recommend ordering from their lunch special because it's a great deal! You get a free miso soup and a salad!

Volcano roll, shrimp & avocado roll, spicy white tuna roll and the Boston roll. I highly recommend them all.

I ordered some late night yum yum this Friday. Around 9 pm, I was craving sushi so I ordered from the only place I would buy from in the Bronx (Sugi Sushi, formerly Oishi). Usually, I just get shrimp & avocado rolls but I wanted to venture out. So I bought one shrimp & avocado roll, the volcano roll (rather large, you might want to cut it in half if you're small like me), the spicy white tuna roll and the Boston roll! It was my first time trying the volcano roll and it was delicious despite how large in size the pieces are, the Boston roll was amazingly refreshing since they use lettuce. I shared with my best friend, and we were full and satisfied! I recommend them all, oh so yummy and perfect for when you're not in the mood for raw fish.

Very good food. Tried the sushi and the habachi chicken with fried rice. I would highly recommend the fried rice with chicken it was great. This is a restaurant in the neighborhood so I'll definitely be back. Really clean, and the people were nice and friendly even though we got here a bit late.

This place has become my go to for Sushi, take out, delivery or even the occasional dine in. Crab Rangoons are still the highlight, but their sushi has also been consistently fresh and delicious. My only complaint is the hibachi, not that great and they don't provide any dipping sauce for it(my favorite part) or at least not when you have it delivered. Also, the Tuna Lobster was like a sushi roll where the tuna took the place of rice and the filling was basically lobster tossed in mayo....too much mayo though. Could really be a delicious app if they reduced the mayo and made that part a little more tasty.

Because we felt bad about leaving after we sat down, we ended up ordering 2 appetizers and 3 special rolls. The waitress actually gave me a disapproving look and asked, That's it?" when I ordered. Yes, that's it--because your menu is so limited I already knew I'd have to order from another restaurant for my kids as soon as we left. For 5 items, the bill was over $110. The check was just a mess of handwritten scribbles with gratuity already added. This place is absolutely not worth it. There's plenty of Japanese Restaurants in Queens that have better selections and flexibility.

The nigiri was good as well, they don't use toppings that you normally see at other omakases (of similar price point) so the nigiri was more similar to the nigiri served at authentic japanese omakases (not sure if this is Japanese owned but I don't think so). Nigiri was also not the typical basic fish (e.g salmon, unagi), but fish like barracuda and kinmedai. For dessert, we had fior di latte ice cream which was amazing, I still think about it, and they were kind enough to give us an extra one. Service was great and not too talkative or invasive. They gave us a letter at the end which showed everything we ate at the omakase that day and personalized with your name on it which I thought was nice. Not sure if they changed the course throughout the day though since some of what was on the letter was not what we had during the course. They also gave us a candle. The chief was so friendly and took his time to explain each dish to us and also took time to chat with us which I thought was really nice especially since I have mainly been to "fast casual" omakase locations recently where they don't really chat with you. There was a good variety of appetizers, fish and dessert. The appetizer options were so unique and the platting was so pretty. The fish options were also very plentiful and I liked the topping that they put on top of each one, the rich was not as warm and soft as I would usually like it but they paired well with the fish. The portion sizes were also pretty large which I thought was nice especially since we were paying about $165 a person. If you are getting sake, they do let you sample the sake before opening the whole bottle. The presentation of the opened sake was also so fancy. For our food we ordered the hako sushi, tornado omelette fried rice, trio tuna sushi roll, yakitori platter (ordered chicken gizzard and gyu harami on the side) and the A5 Wagyu cooked on the stone grill. I recommend getting the yakitori platter as it's a nice sampler but my husband especially enjoyed the chicken gizzard. My dad never had wagyu before so he especially loved the wagyu but I do think it's expensive for the amount they give you, I can see why it's pricier but just know before you order it's like $45 for 2.5 oz or in our case about 5 thin slices of wagyu. My brother said the tornado omelette was tasty and filling and he enjoyed it. The trio tuna sushi roll was very fresh. As for the service, I think everyone was pleasant but the vibes were a little off, it seems like they were just very exhausted. This doesn't affect the quality of the food or the experience but it was just something I noticed. They were still very attentive and provided great service. The reason for the one star off is because I do wish the Hako sushi had a bit more flavor, I saw so many different ingredients and fish but none of the flavors were impactful, it was rather one dimensional which was disappointing because it was presented so beautifully. Overall, I recommend giving Izakaya nana a try and I would definitely go again to try other things.
