One of my favorite places to eat! Close by & convenient They are always friendly when i go inside. Can get a little pricey though depending on what you order.. fresh and tasty, haven't had a problem... yet.

Looks like a lot in the pic right? Nope !

This place in which I spend lots of via direct delivery which requires me spending over $30 for delivery or via Uber which is alway over $24. Tonight I order $36.00 plus $4.00 tip. I ordered 3 roll dinner for $16.00 and $14.00 of sushi 4 pieces is raw sushi. One piece of sushi usually consists of one of three cut up. Why did I pay $14 for this? I will not take this post down till they make good. They are so stupid. They give free food to people to give great reviews to balance out or bury the bad ones. Not cost effective. Just give better service and give people what they pay for! So it's like this if you order too much salmon or tuna you'll get skimmed because they believe people should only receive a certain amount no matter how much you pay.

Had a few rolls with brown rice and they were rushed and had no flavor. I was really disappointed and so was my cousin with her tempura chicken and shrimp. It was tasteless and the price point was a big high for the quality of the food. I had eel and avocado brown rice roll and a sweet potato roll in brown rice as well and they were falling apart and had no real flavor at all. I don't think I would eat here again because I had better in another location in the Bronx.

I have tried this place twice and both times the food was not cooked all the way, even after I asked. They are always rushing.

Kiraku Sushi - Hibachi combo

I stopped in this afternoon for a late lunch and really enjoyed Kiraku Sushi. The restaurant is…read morecasual and very reasonably priced, and the salmon nigiri tasted fresh and buttery. The roll pictured is the Indiana roll with salmon skin inside and eel/avocado on top - very tasty. There is a homey, unassuming, neighborhood feel to the restaurant and it's not a bad place if you just want to go for lunch yourself! Friendly, attentive staff, too.

Kiraku Sushi offers the best possible dining experience in the neighborhood. I deeply appreciate…read moreboth the simplicity and the quiet sophistication of this place. After visiting regularly, I've come to know the wonderful people who run it--with professionalism, warmth, and consistency. A quick disclaimer: I'm recommending Kiraku based on a personal preference for sushi that honors traditional preparation--clean, balanced, and free from excessive sauces or unnecessary embellishments. I've been to highly rated sushi spots where every piece is smothered in sugary, multi-ingredient sauces, masking the flavor of the fish and turning the experience into something overly rich and far from authentic. Kiraku stands apart. Their sushi is beautifully restrained--great-quality fish, well-prepared rice, and flavors that are distinct and harmonious. For those who enjoy bolder options, there are a few heavier sauce-based rolls on the menu. But for me, the real strength of Kiraku lies in its refined, minimalist approach. If you appreciate true sushi craftsmanship, this place is a hidden neighborhood gem with extremely good pricing for the quality you're getting.

There is a…read moreseating area, but I wouldn't really recommend it, it's more like a narrow shelf with high chairs, so not the most comfortable if you're planning to sit and relax. I ordered a salad bowl, and the ordering process is actually kind of interesting. They give you a paper with different options, and you check off what you want in your bowl. Everything came out pretty quickly, but the food isn't exactly hot, more like warm. Only the protein and rice are cooked, while any veggies you add come out cold, which is something to keep in mind. I also tried the pork gyoza, which were just okay. The overall service was also pretty average; the workers weren't particularly friendly. Overall, it was an okay experience, but nothing that really stood out.

Prices vary by dish or drink. I wouldve posted pics but I devoured it all.

Started off with a Tsingtao (Chinese Beer) smooth and refreshing, a solid choice with hibachi. There was a bit of a wait for the chef to come out, but once he did, it was totally worth it. He struck the perfect balance--entertaining without overdoing it. We ordered the steak, scallops, lobster, and shrimp, and everything came out cooked perfectly. Portions were generous enough that we even had leftovers to take home for the next day, which is always a plus. I really liked the light-up hibachi tables, a nice modern touch. The restaurant wasn't crowded, which made the experience even more enjoyable, and the service throughout was good. Overall, the place looks great, the food was on point, and the vibe was just right. We'll definitely be back.

The service and performance was excellent (we laughed so much) and a fun time was had by all. Another positive note: a kitty-type balloon was given to those celebrating a birthday. The dinner was delicious, but filling...and [for guy with a healthy appetite] I had leftovers that were enough for a big lunch the next day. Why 4/5 and not 5/5? I plan to attend on a FRI or SAT evening very soon. If they are able to maintain the same quality service and attention to detail on a much busier night, I will gladly change my grade to 5/5. I believe they can.
