Visited with my friend who lives in the neighborhood, was pleasantly surprised with the ambiance for a restaurant in a strip mall. Inside, the restaurant is split into two sides for sushi and hibachi. We were having sushi so we went off the left. We ordered some sushi rolls and appetizers to share and really enjoyed just about everything. The spicy tuna crispy rice and the sushi pizza were both fun and delicious. We also felt the prices were very reasonable. Service was a bit slow but we did come within the last hour of the restaurant being open on a Thursday. Would love to come back for hibachi or to try some other menu items! read more

The last time I came here I felt it was excellent food and service but this time both were lacking. I wanted a good piece of meat and ordered sirloin steak medium rare. My meat came extra well done. I sent it back and it looked like they sent the same meat back again. I couldn't eat it and I eat everything. I told the waitress I wanted to talk to the manager and then she told me she would cut the check in half. No one had ever refilled my water or checked on the table unless I called them. I was very disappointed. The next three days I had stomach problems. Not in any rush to go back there. Wheelchair accessible. read more

Have been going here since 2022! This is always a nice place to bring family or friends for catching up for for birthdays/special events! The hibachi side of the restaurant interior is dim and makes it a more intimate atmosphere-- the regular dine in side of the restaurant is more well lit for more casual get- togethers! Service is wonderful. My favorite is their sushi-- their hibachi can be more on the saltier side, but the experience makes up for it! The chefs are very fun and entertaining, and even gave the kids little balloon headbands , they loved it. And for drinks I always get a Shirley Temple! Would recommend! read more

The drink specials are so good, my go to Lycee Martini. The menu also includes hibachi food and Dim sum. All in all a wonderful restaurant in my area, great service and atmosphere. read more

Our first hibachi experience was a hit. So much fun and the food was delicious. The scallops were perfectly cooked. Our server/hibachi person was so fun and skilled at the hibachi. Good spot for groups or for a date night. Will definitely be back again. read more

Flame Restaurant in the Bronx is hands down my favorite hibachi spot. From the delicious food to the amazing staff and relaxed ambiance, this place is a 10/10 every single time. I order from here about four times a week (yes, seriously), and the food is ALWAYS consistent. Same incredible flavor, same quality, every single order. They have never messed up my food, and I never get tired of it. And the prices? I honestly can't believe how affordable it is for the quality of food you get. The portions, the flavor, the consistency -- you would expect to pay so much more. If you're looking for hibachi that never disappoints, this is the place. Highly recommend to everyone. Ask for the Stephanie Special -- you won't regret it! read more

I had to ship out a package via fed ex and this restaurant, Flame Bronx, was next door. I figured i'll get some sushi for dinner since it was right there. This establishment was way better than i had expected. the ambiance was fantastic it's perfect for a family outing or a hang out with friends. There's a seperate room for hibachi and another room for dining in menu like sushi and a la carte meals. I enjoyed the various sushi and hand rolls there. the fried vegetable dumplings is elite too the service was very kind and helpful with selecting the signature special rolls. i've opted for three amigos along with sushi like salmon and eel. ill absolutely come back here and looking forward to bringing my family again. what a local gem! A+ 9/10 (i'll update review after trying hibachi side) read more

I dined at Flame Bronx on a Thursday night for my mom's birthday. I booked my reservation online and was glad I did because it was more full than I anticipated. The hibachi chef was super friendly and engaging. As far as food goes I should've expected it to be a tad salty seen as different sauces would be used during the presentation. The food was salter than I would've liked.. Overall, the ambience was nice and the staff were friendly. read more

To celebrate my cousin's 60th birthday dinner, we went here with friends. The food was great and the portions were huge. We enjoyed the fun drinks and took leftovers home. The bathrooms were nice and clean, and parking was available. We had the hibachi and a few appetizers, it comes with rice, noodles, soup, salad and choice of grilled shrimp or veggies dumplings. The miso soup was so hot and comforting. My favorite was the Kani salad and my scallops. Meaty, tender and cooked to perfection. We'll definitely be back for lunch and drinks read more

10/10 experience! The hibachi food was delicious. I've had hibachi many times before, but the fried rice our chef made was especially flavorful, and the noodles were just as good. The Cabernet was excellent, and my cousin couldn't stop talking about how good and strong the sangria was. The kids had a blast watching the hibachi show, which made the night even more fun. The parking was right outside the restaurant, which made the entire experience that much better. Great food, great drinks, and great entertainment. We'll definitely be back! read more

My friend and I came in for lunch on a Friday around 1pm for hibachi and it was empty. We were seated right away and given menus. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating when I asked for my fried rice to be cooked with no egg. She said no problem! They have great drink options which were delicious! I had a snow white lychee drink and my friend had the fire colada highly recommend both! I love that this hibachi includes a choice of beef onion or miso soup, salad, vegetable dumplings or 2 shrimp, meat entrees, noodles and white or fried rice. It was a lot of food! Our hibachi chef was great! He sang while he was cooking and made the whole experience fun and enjoyable even though it was empty! My friend and I had a great time! The food was perfectly cooked especially since I have been to hibachi where the filet mignon is not cooked the way I asked. The portions were huge and I took some home. As people came in for later lunch our waitress got busy but that was okay. Will definitely be coming back and it is recommended to make a reservation for dinner. read more

Flame is a hidden gem in the Bronx. Service is wonderful and the food is great. We went here to celebrate my nephews 4th birthday and, to be honest, I think the hibachi show scared him at first - but hey, we all gotta grow up at some time . He had a great time after the fire died down though. Poor, kiddo. Also about the hibachi show, don't participate if you're sober or observing Shabbat. You'll think you're drinking water - but, surprise, it's sake! And you will get got. read more
