Three roll combo: Eel, spicy salmon, salmon
    Alexandria R.

I am not a Bronx native and was spoiled by my constant access to sushi in Queens and Manhattan. When I moved to the Bronx, it was a challenge to find any good sushi places that would deliver to me. So, once I saw this on seamless I knew I had to take a chance and I am so happy I did! Food: 4/5 This is my go-to affordable but fresh sushi option! I can get a three roll combo for ~$15 during their lunch special and ~$18 during the other times. Also because I live close enough I can use their website (vs seamless) to order saving even more money! My favorite three are salmon, yellow tail, and spicy salmon. Delivery: 4/5 Every order has been delivered in mint conditions however, they will not enter my apt and bring it to my door. Therefore, I always have to come down to pick the food. Candidly, not the worse to me since I am able-bodied, this may pose a significant challenge for others. All in all, I have already ordered from here 3 times and can't wait to do it again!

Absolutely amazing Japanese cuisine in the heart of the Bronx, in morris park. Very generous servings with phenomenal customer service. I got the bento box with chicken teriyaki and the way it tasted along with the presentation was outstanding. 10/10 experience hands down.

got from door dash and was blown away by the quality. all the rolls were exceptional but actually the non specialty were our favorite. the specialty are absolutely humongous which made them a bit more annoying to eat. but all in all great sushi.

    Tuna Salmon Poke Bowl

Yum, in the Poké bowl is still warm. There's so much stuff in here like pickled radishes, onions, seaweed, dry seaweed, kewpie mayo, avocado, and dried garlic on top. Loved it! This is the cheapest $ poke bowl you can get in all nyc and honestly one of the best I've had in awhile.

1/3 Food + Beverages; 1/1 Value; 1/1 Service A friend and I went to Osaka as we're trying out our local Bronx businesses more. It's a small eatery tucked away on Morris Park with friendly staff. They were really quick to prepare our food, which we opted as take-out. We got the haru maki, tofu teriyaki w/ miso soup, chicken teriyaki dinner, a shrimp tempura roll, and bubble tea. My friend was pleased with the variety of vegetarian options, but the tofu teriyaki was bland and the bubble tea was not that great. The haru maki was good and crispy. The chicken teriyaki dinner came with a california roll, shumai, and miso soup as well. The california roll and teriyaki were okay but under seasoned, while the shumai was delightful. Where Osaka really shines is value and the portion size. It's an incredible variety of food in sizable portions without breaking the bank. Still, I would definitely give them another shot since many of the reviews say the katsu is very good.

I wish there were more locations of this in Manhattan. We made an order at the desk before we seated ourselves and for a Saturday evening, there was quite a bit of open tables which was great. I ordered the Szechuan Braised Beef Noodles and they were absolutely delicious. The noodles tasted a bit like ramen noodles but they were able to grab all the delicious and garlic flavored soup. I really appreciated the soft-boiled egg with its marinated egg whites. I also loved the big tender beef chunks as well. Overall, I really cannot wait to go back to Zhongzhong noodles and I hope that they open up more locations. I will say though that since I last went to the Roosevelt Island location, they have raised their prices quite a bit - maybe $2 or $3 per dish.

I also enjoy the kitchen apps and entrées- the miso eggplant and agedashi tofu are great appetizers. The salmon teriyaki is always perfectly cooked and accompanied by fresh vegetables. As other reviewers have mentioned- the construction of the rolls can suffer at times- for me this usually looks like 1 at most 2 pieces losing their integrity when I pick them up. My friends and I agree that this is Riverdale, not A sushi hotspot desitation and we would rather sacrifice a point on the physical construction /proper sushi technique than go somewhere else that has beautiful perfectly rolled sushi- with less fresh fish or rolls that are more rice than filling. Also- the sushi IS good! I usually go for salmon, tuna and a sweet potato tempura roll The lunch specials (monday-saturday until 3:15 pm) are a really good deal and come with pretty good miso soup and a fresh side salad. I am appreciative that they run a little later in the day as well. Aoyu has always been very reasonable abt modifications- there is no upcharge for brown rice for lunch bento- easy to request veggie instead of pork gyoza, and I really don't like crab- imitation or otherwise- so they always let me sub a cucumber avocado roll instead. Thanks for being such a great restaurant in riverdale Aoyu!

It's a cute little basement bar with some tables along with a bar top to sit and a cozy little area in the back to sit at if you're with a couple of friends wanting to celebrate something or just to hangout. You see to my surprise they told me they no longer serve sushi and that they changed the whole concept of the place and the menu. I was a little disappointed but I decided I was there already so I would work with what they had to offer. I saw they had a decent happy hour menu, but I decided to order a drink that was not on the Happy Hour menu. Their version of a Lychee Martini. It was strong and flavorful, but very refreshing. For my tapas options I went with some Arancini and Zucchini flowers. I didn't want too much to eat after having such a huge breakfast. The arancini was flavorless but really good with the marinara sauce it came with, and to my surprise the zucchini flowers were amazing. It was piping hot, crispy with the most intense cheese pull, served with some spicy sauce and marinara as well. I went back and forth with dipping them into each condiment. I told the guy who took my order and served me that they should bottle that marinara, it was delicious. I don't know how this place use to be but I'm interested in returning for another visit because I was definitely feeling the whole vibe of the place along with the food. I think it might be a good place to visit for the whole Happy Hour of it all. Thumbs up and Happy Yelping!

After visiting regularly, I've come to know the wonderful people who run it--with professionalism, warmth, and consistency. A quick disclaimer: I'm recommending Kiraku based on a personal preference for sushi that honors traditional preparation--clean, balanced, and free from excessive sauces or unnecessary embellishments. I've been to highly rated sushi spots where every piece is smothered in sugary, multi-ingredient sauces, masking the flavor of the fish and turning the experience into something overly rich and far from authentic. Kiraku stands apart. Their sushi is beautifully restrained--great-quality fish, well-prepared rice, and flavors that are distinct and harmonious. For those who enjoy bolder options, there are a few heavier sauce-based rolls on the menu. But for me, the real strength of Kiraku lies in its refined, minimalist approach. If you appreciate true sushi craftsmanship, this place is a hidden neighborhood gem with extremely good pricing for the quality you're getting.

Between my first review and now, Ikko has maintained their relevance. They've kept up by offering decent Asian inspired apps and entrees. At the tail end of Covid they pivoted to include Seafood Boils as an option. Not a fan of boils so unsure how that option is going. Another option, Hibachi, which we also are not big fans of, unless forced upon us by friends or family. Is prepared on these red glowing tables and appears to appeal to the masses, so that's a good thing. During our visits, generally on the early side of dinner hours, service has always been attentive and our meals, most often than not are prepared as expected. There has been the occasional slight hiccup while dining in or when ordering for delivery, but nothing major. The aesthetics of this place continues to appeal with their colorful facade. And their interior is just as inviting with ambient lighting of red hues throughout the restaurant, enhancing the Asian inspired statues and textured wall designs. It's nice that Ikko has kept up with this large piece of real estate, providing decent meals and continuing to keeping themselves relevant within the neighborhood.
