Hey, it's Zippy's, so everyone knows it can sometimes be a hit or miss, iykyk! But this time, it…read morewas definitely a total hit! I ordered the chicken trio plate along with a side of chili. Everything was spot on for this visit. The fried chicken pieces were nice and crunchy, the katsu was perfectly golden, and you already know the rules: two massive scoops of white rice and a solid mound of mac salad. Of course, I had to choke the rice and chicken in the chili. When you need that quick fix and they nail the execution like this, nothing beats it. Glad to catch them on an awesome "hit" day!

I arrived around at 9:00 am.l, 6/14/26 (Sun). I ordered takeout (Chili Rice & Korean Chicken)…read more People were friendly and rushing with call-in, takeouts, and inside dining. My rating is low...didn't bother because of disappointment. I ordered the Korean Chicken using the app, but ordered Chili at the window. They had to delay my Korean Chicken by 10 more minutes...total of 30 minutes. However, my chili came in 10 minutes. I did that because I was hungry. But disappointment came with the chicken. No Korean Sauce. If I wanted just plain fried chicken, I would have told them. The front people are on it, but back crew need reminding or don't sell a product if you ran out of sauce...false advertisement. A guy was standing in front of me in line with 3 plates chicken with no sauce. He left disgusted. It's happening more often at night. Come on Zippy's?! We pay good money for that! However, I called the manager. She said there's a protocol and need to address it with Sunday night team and offered a new plate. I accepted since the plate was not complete. I hope in the future...it's better. Ciao!

Outstanding Food, Vibes, and Live Music!…read more Had an amazing dinner experience at Mahi'ai Table last night with two friends! We specifically came out to support our friend who was the musical talent providing the live entertainment from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Our reservation was at 5:30 PM, and the vibe was so good that we stayed all the way until 9:00 PM. Because we arrived during the last 30 minutes of happy hour, we immediately ordered a major spread of pupus from the Pau Hana menu. We shared the lechon style brussel sprouts, hand-cut fries, steamed shrimp & pork won tons, scallion bread, and fish tacos. Every single bite was delicious. I paired the food with a Hana Koa Roof Top Pale Ale from their local drafts list, which was crisp and excellent. After happy hour wrapped up, I moved on to the dinner menu and ordered the Half Pound House Burger and fries for my entree. The burger was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. Overall, the food and ambiance were absolutely outstanding, and the service was prompt, attentive, and friendly from start to finish. The noise level was perfectly moderate, letting us enjoy both the live music and our own conversation. We had a great time and will absolutely be back!

Underrated local dinner spot…read more The entry to this restaurant is so easy to miss because it's so narrow and it blends in so well with everything. I don't know if they want to keep it hidden, but I guess you could consider it that. We went in on a Saturday night with reservations and I highly recommend it since the place was full when we went in and more people kept wanting to come and eat. Service was great from beginning to end, I especially love that everyone accommodated my stroller and my baby. There were four of us and we each got something different, but to start I highly suggest the steamed shrimp and pork wontons and the lechon style Brussels - I would've double-ordered those for my entree if I could have! For entrees we ordered the garlic noodles, misoyaki butterfish, seared catch-of-the-day, and the burger. They were all amazing, and after we all started letting each other try we started making our own "flights" because everything just hit different spots and flavor profiles. In summary, this is one of those places that doesn't care about aesthetics, the decor is casual, but the food is soooo ono. They focus all their energy on food and service, and that makes a winner winner chicken dinner in my book.
