I went to North Star today 5/19 at around 2:40 pm because I wanted some fresh Chicharron and I…read moreheard that they sell that. This place is next to PT Hawaii and there was plenty of parking. I went in and stood in line. There were a few people ahead of me so it wasn't too busy. There were 2 women working- one was doing the food and the other was the cashier. As I was standing in line I noticed there were flies in the hot food- however, the chicharron was in its own case that was enclosed and I made sure no flies were in there. When it was my turn the woman who was doing the food didn't even want to acknowledge me. I had to tell the cashier that I wanted one lb of chicharron, then she literally told the food lady right next to her what I wanted. I paid almost $20.00 for one lb of chicharron but the worst part is that food woman didn't even cut it up for me! I literally came home with a slab that I have to cut up myself, all good though. I had to inspect the pork throughly anyways to make sure there were no fly eggs. I absolutely don't recommend this place. Bad service and flies in the hot food area.

He received a text just a few minutes saying he was put in the waiting list. Decided to just wait in the car. At around almost 40 minutes after, my boyfriend received a text message saying he was no longer on the wait list. So he decided to walk up to the hostess and ask if our table was ready. Hostess said, I'm sorry I don't have you on our wait list. She asked if it was 2 adults and one child, and he said no as it was under the same name. She just said, it might have been someone on the inside that took us out of the wait list. She said sorry and my boyfriend said nevermind, we'll just go somewhere else. I asked if we could go back on the wait list, but she said yes, but you'd have to wait again and thought it wasn't worth it. She said Happy Father's Day to us. I said Thank you. I'm not sure if it's there check in/online message system that was not cooperating. Hopefully if we do plan on coming here and trying again, we don't end up with same experience. We were looking forward to trying the pancakes and other dishes that got great reviews.

The fruit and vegetables looked pretty fresh. I did not get a chance to venture over to the deli/hot food section but I know I will on my next visit to a Foodland Farms.. The cashier was nice and friendly with much aloha. I had not used my Maika'i card in a long time & wasn't sure if I was still in the system, but she found me! Overall, nice experience .

I saw a sign for Monster Energy drinks that said it was $8:99 so I assumed it couldn't have been more than that. So yeah what a great deal, ha!!!
