I did not receive my order until about 1:20 PM; around 35 minutes from start to finish and I ordered just one value combo and dessert. I grew up in SOCAL eating at Jack in the Box, I even worked there when I was 18, and I know what to expect. I've also been to several Hawai'i locations and they were just fine, but the Kapolei location on Farrington Hwy is absolutely THE WORST J-Box I've ever encountered! I've been there many times in the 20 years I've lived here and each time I tell myself I'm never going back there ("Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me 18-20 times, shame on me"). Once in a blue moon, I do get a craving for burgers and fries. Tonight was one of those nights, so I decided to treat myself to some Jumbo Jacks at Jack in the Box. Since I live down in the Ewa Beach area, the closest one is in Kapolei, so off I went. For context I don't usually eat this kind of food because of health reasons. Honestly, the last time I had Jack in the Box was probably two years ago. But tonight, I figured, why not? Well, I regret it. This particular location in Kapolei already has a bad reputation for poor service, and tonight, they lived up to it. Normally, I don't bother writing bad reviews. If the food's bad, fine. If the service is slow, I move on. But when the service is downright lazy and disrespectful, someone needs to hear about it. Consider this my two cents. I pulled into the drive-thru at around 8ish PM. There were maybe three or four cars ahead of me. No big deal, except it took fifteen solid minutes before I even moved forward. No exaggeration. fifteen minutes of sitting there doing nothing. Another ten minutes passed before I got to the speaker box. Once I finally got there, I sat for five more minutes waiting for someone to say anything. When a woman finally spoke, she told me, 'I'll be right back.' Then she disappeared for another ten minutes. By then, I was debating whether to just drive off, but I figured I'd already wasted this much time, nmight as well stick it out. Here's what really annoyed me, I assumed maybe they were swamped or short-staffed. Nope. When I got to the window, I could see inside, fully staffed, not busy at all, and plenty of laughter and lollygag coming from the kitchen. Looked like a group of employees just messing around on the clock while drive thru customers sat stuck outside. I asked the woman at the window for her name and her supervisor's name. She told me her name was Jazz, and the other woman (she has scar on her right face) who looked like a supervisor, claimed the supervisor's name was Elma. I have my doubts about whether that's even true but for the record, I was there Monday night, June 23, 2025, at about 8 PM. To the owner or manager reading this: you can reply to every review all you want but actions speak louder than canned responses. Nothing is changing at this location, and it shows. This is the last time I'll spend my gas, my money, and my patience at this Jack in the Box. I was genuinely looking forward to a Jumbo Jack after two years, and you managed to ruin even that. I've had both decent & just absolutely terrible experiences. But now, I guess it's normal to spend an hour in the drive thru even with a mobile order. Insane. I tried to go inside this time & I stood there for about 15 mins only to realize no one's gonna talk to me because iguess it's just that bad. Another guy who just got his food told me I'm better off in the drive thru because the wait for him was probably just as long. Time and time again there always seems to be a problem with this Jack and The Box. From incorrect orders to waiting in the drive thru line for nearly an hour at midnight to be told that they were only taking mobile orders... and then for them to (yet again) fail to follow basic order instructions........ no where in the order did i want platters so why the hell did i get two we paid way more for what i received. I decided to give it another try after my husband stopped by for a meal. He got the (Double Loco Smash #9) it by far has been the best thing at Jacks for me! Make sure to ask for the gravy on the side tho to dip your burger. Could add a dab of salt or pepper if need. The rice could of been a little less, the onion ring to me represents getting grilled onions when I add it to my plate lunch not sure why they didn't use that instead maybe preventing it from getting messy as the fried onion ring stays in place, I guess. Last time I went I got a salty chicken sandwich that made me stop coming after that experience. Would be cool if they added it to the menu as a regular to stay. Came here to enjoy Fat Tuesday by having a vanilla milk shake and churros. Anybody that knows Jack-in-the-box milk shakes know that it is super thick and not something to drink if you're on a diet. In fact, it is too thick to drink, so they should actually give a spoon with the shake. Why 3 stars? It usually comes with a maraschino cherry, but that was missing. Also, the churros (except for one) tasted stale. Ended up not finishing the churros cause it was that bad, and shared the vanilla shake with my daughter. I am unsure if they are too lazy to make fried rice or if they simply can't. They say that they are all out as if they don't have the ingredients. I can order a breakfast platter but not a fried rice that has the exact same ingredients in it. One star due to the fact that I did not get everything I ordered and paid for. I even tried to call the restaurant multiple times to notify them but no answer. I live more than 20min away and it was already late so i was not able to drive back to the restaurant.
