Place is great, best sandwitches on island period. Friendly staff and accurate orders are a bonus. My go to for duty meals.

Assaggio's Mililani has always been an absolute staple when it comes to celebratory lunches and…read moredinners in our small town. If you really think about it, it's actually the fanciest type of restaurant in the area. Don't let the laid back entryway fool you, this place is certainly housing some of the best food. Making a reservation is definitely recommended if possible but walk-ins are taken if you don't mind waiting for a table to clear if its busy. That being said, the experience can vary depending on your server and the amount of care that you're given during your meal. The food is always exquisite and I've always been happy with the quality and especially the amount. We went there to celebrate multiple birthdays in my family for the month of April and not remembering how large the "Large" size plates were, I essentially had enough food to bring home for leftovers. I decided to choose the Chicken Saltimbocca and the house red wine for my meal. The menu is pretty extensive and has truly something for everyone. The caesar salad is made table side and always comes out great, definitely a recommended part of the meal if you're on a date or with family who'd all like to partake. The wine menu isn't as big as some other fancy places in Honolulu, but more than satisfactory to accompany your meal. I think that this is a great restaurant to visit if you're in the mood for an experience that is more intimate without having to drive closer to downtown. While it has the menu, look, and experience of a higher end restaurant, you can always approach it with the comfort of a longtime local spot. With the right expectation going in, it can really deliver and is recommended.

In short, you ruined my birthday. This was the WORST dining experience of my life (I'm 62 years old). I ate at your restaurant in 2022 and the food was very good. What happened? Where did your chef learn to cook Italian food? I ordered the sautéed zucchini and it was smothered in garlic and swimming in oil. Never seen anything like it. I ordered the "carbonara" and it was unlike anything I'd ever seen in my life. You should Google carbonara and see if you find anything even remotely close to what you serve. Big, raw pieces of onion all over, big chunks of something that I guess was supposed to be ham or bacon cooked at varying degrees of done, and again swimming in oil! My wife ordered the Shrimp Assaggio. The description says it's fried in garlic and"light olive oil." Guess what? Yup, swimming in oil. Then the waiter comes by and asks if my wife would like Parmesan. What? On seafood? In what universe? I told the waitress that I had never seen carbonara like this and was very disappointed. She kinda made a face but no words. When she came to ask if we wanted dessert, I told her, "After this?" I went on to explain why I was dissatisfied and she couldn't have cared less. I really regret not sending the food back and leaving. Again, totally ruined what should have been a nice birthday meal. If I could have given the food 1/2 a star I would have. If you're going to serve Italian food, I strongly suggest hiring a chef who has a clue about how to cook Italian food. I will never subject my family to this "Italian" restaurant again. I'm happy to answer any questions you have.

Thanks for setting that expectation because we probably would've headed to pick up our food in about 15 minutes. We ended up waiting an hour for our food. That's double the time that was given to us. They let us know that a bunch of phone orders came in, so I guess they weren't prepared for that. One of the items that we ordered was a burger patty and they let us know that they accidentally burned it. We had to say goodbye to the burger as we were told us it was the last patty they had. So, we were given the option of ordering something else or just having it removed from our bill. Add another item in place of the burger, and wait even longer? No thank you. The chicken parmesan sandwich was large enough to share with someone. Unfortunately, the chicken was a tad dry, and it came with a good amount of cheese, but not enough marinara sauce to mask the dryness. We received the wrong pizza, but did get an extra slice that we didn't order. Ok cool. Thanks, I guess. The major disappointment for me was that they forgot to give us the garlic knots we ordered. The mac and cheese wasn't bad. I'm not sure what blend of cheeses they used but it wasn't the typical cheddar cheese most commonly used. It came with garlic bread, which was nice and buttery with a decent amount of garlic flavor. Even though we received the wrong pizza, we enjoyed the pizza we got. There were chunks of minced garlic which is always a plus for me. The food was good, so I'll go back to give them another shot. Next time, we'll order the garlic knots and make sure it's included in what they give us. Also, they have so much more to offer besides pizza, so we'll also have to give those a try. Other options include lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken marsala, ravioli, and more.

I ordered it, and it was amazing! Honestly, it might be the best alfredo I've had on this island. The sauce was thick and creamy, and I loved the addition of the mushrooms and pine nuts to it. We also got the zucchini sticks (I love fried zucchini!) and those were tasty as well. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. I did not want to put on a suit and pay $80 for alfredo so it was lucky I found Spaghettini. Super nice and Aloha service right from the start. Prices were reasonable and there was a great selection of Pizza, Pasta and even sandwiches to choose from. This seems like a grab and go take home place but they do have a porch with a few tables to sit and eat there. I went with the alfredo which was well cooked al dente linguini. This was well cooked and good but the garlic was on the heavy side. I had never had alfredo with a strong garlic flavor but it was fine. I guess I would put this on par with an Olive Garden as far as taste but happy to support a local business and I think it was a little cheaper than if I had gone to a "chain" place.

JAX serves some of the freshest pizza I've had in a long time, made with premium ingredients you can really taste. The dough is what really sets it apart--perfectly crispy-textured with a depth of flavor that immediately made me curious about the flour. When I asked the owner Gabriel about it, he explained that the flour is imported from Italy and made with a 25-year-old starter, giving it that incredible sourdough character. I was genuinely impressed that a local, family-owned spot is putting out such artisanal, craft pizza--honestly better than what I've had in many New York neighborhoods. Looking around their shop, I loved that the care and love extend beyond the food, but that it's clear how invested they are in their community--serving veteran and autistic communities and teaching them how to make pizza. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in, making a real effort to connect with customers rather than just rush orders out. If JAX had a location in New York City, I'd be there every week. If you're passing through the North Shore and craving truly excellent pizza, this place is an absolute must-visit!

We were seated immediately so that was nice, especially with a toddler. Right away we ordered our babies food first with our appetizers since I wanted to make sure her food comes out quick. We ordered off the kids menu for her, the mushroom sausage pizza and got some avocado rolls for apps. Our waiter was nice, but seemed to have been running 5 tables alone, he might've been new I believe, but he was doing okay (sorry I forgot his name). My hasband got their new smoked salmon (i think thats what it was called) on a bed of broccoli-the salmon was very dry and the sauce was very watery that came with it. I got the shrimp and mushroom- linguini finny- that is my favorite when we do eat here. no complaints on this... Lets fast forward to all of us eating and I notice, the baby is enjoying her pizza, but when she gets to the sausage she starts coughing and sticking her tongue out. We of course check to see if there is anything wrong and couldnt figure it out. As I proceeded to watch her take the next bite and she does it again, she spits out the sausage, I take a look at the sausage and see like a chili pepper flake. At this point im a little confused bc i told my husband it cant be, lol... Low and behold, I tasted the sausage and it was spicy. I re read the menu before I called our waiter over and nothing on the menu stated that the sausage for the kids menu was going to be spicy. I than call the waiter over and ask what kind of sausage and if their sausage is spicy for the KIDS menu. He was like "ohhh yes, sorry I didnt mention it, it was my fault" I didnt know what to say because he CLEARY knew we were ordering that for our toddler. I just suggested that maybe next time they advised customers about the sausage being spicy for kids. Over all it was okay, sucks my husband didnt enjoy his food because he doesnt really care for pasta and rarely wants to eat at CPK.
