We have always passed assagios mililani but haven't really given them a chance because the other pasta restaurant in the area had been our go to. That was until they started reducing their portion sizes and food quality kind of declined, so we decided to be adventurous and try assagios out; and boy were we so pleasantly surprised! We love the portion sizes -- and the option to do a small or large. We always opt for the large so that we have enough pasta for the next days lunch. If you know you know, leftover pasta tastes even better. Their portion sizes are great and their ingredients just taste fresh. We usually get the garlic cream fettuccine with chicken, which comes with broccoli. My mom usually gets the spicy seafood pasta with pink sauce, and my dad gets shrimp assagios. All solid options. Can't forget the homemade salad! Only complaint is the desserts are mid, but honestly that's such a small issue as there are tons of dessert places in the town center right next to the restaurant. We love it here and this place has been one of our biweekly dinners!
Assaggio has been one of my favorite restaurants on Oʻahu since I was a kid, and after all these years, it remains one of the most consistent Italian restaurants I've ever been to. We stopped in for a birthday lunch and everything was fantastic. The tableside Caesar salad is always a must-order, and my steak pasta was cooked perfectly--tender, flavorful, and free of any gristle. The chicken piccata was another standout, light and crispy without being greasy, with just the right amount of brightness from the capers. We ended the meal with the chocolate gelato, which was surprisingly one of my favorite parts of the experience. Even as someone who doesn't usually order chocolate desserts, I'd absolutely get it again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was phenomenal, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and despite being busy, parking was easy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would still recommend making reservations, especially during peak hours. Assaggio continues to be a restaurant I return to year after year, and it never disappoints.
Assaggio's Mililani has always been an absolute staple when it comes to celebratory lunches and dinners in our small town. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you really think about it, it's actually the fanciest type of restaurant in the area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Don't let the laid back entryway fool you, this place is certainly housing some of the best food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Making a reservation is definitely recommended if possible but walk-ins are taken if you don't mind waiting for a table to clear if its busy. That being said, the experience can vary depending on your server and the amount of care that you're given during your meal. The food is always exquisite and I've always been happy with the quality and especially the amount. We went there to celebrate multiple birthdays in my family for the month of April and not remembering how large the "Large" size plates were, I essentially had enough food to bring home for leftovers. I decided to choose the Chicken Saltimbocca and the house red wine for my meal. The menu is pretty extensive and has truly something for everyone. The caesar salad is made table side and always comes out great, definitely a recommended part of the meal if you're on a date or with family who'd all like to partake. The wine menu isn't as big as some other fancy places in Honolulu, but more than satisfactory to accompany your meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I think that this is a great restaurant to visit if you're in the mood for an experience that is more intimate without having to drive closer to downtown.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]While it has the menu, look, and experience of a higher end restaurant, you can always approach it with the comfort of a longtime local spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] With the right expectation going in, it can really deliver and is recommended.

Came here on the Saturday before mother's day. As expected, it was pretty crowded, but not a very long wait for our reservation. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I keep forgetting how small and cramped the inside is.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They should move to the stand alone building where TGI Fridays and I Love Country Cafe were. Much bigger standalone restaurant. Besides that, the food and service was pretty good for a very busy night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The one bad thing was the bathroom. I understand the place was busy for pre mother's day dinner, but damn, the bathroom was pretty disgusting. The o e and only urinal was out of order making everyone use just 1 toilet. Again, was disgusting and had a lot of liquid on the ground[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Hopefully they clean up every night, but they gotta fix those issues.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Besides that, I will probably be back in the future as there aren't many "fancy" Italian restaurants in the area.
We were celebrating my mom's birthday and decided to have Italian. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon arrival I was taken back by the entrance, reminded me of a Chinese restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was okay only down fall was when they were pre-bussing the tables! Geeze I was still eating, I felt rushed! Second was when I got my order. I ordered seafood combination with marinara but received white wine instead. Food was okay nothing too great I just had to add salt for more flavor. The calamari legs and steaks were pretty good tho and my sisters enjoyed their chicken pasta.
We've been dining here occasionally for years, our most recent experience was superb. We arrived at 5:45pm with no wait, it's still usually a short wait at that time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Keeping it simple, the seating is equally nice. Not like some other places that just stick you in an ugly corner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was excellent, patient and friendly. Our appetizers came Out fast our main course followed. Just looove the Hot Antpasto, it's a must for me. We tend to order the same entrees when we dine here.... Steak and pasta, shrimp scampi, and carbonara. And must pronounce the food is always consistent!
Those who know me would be surprised that I'd go so far north for lunch... as I do not venture beyond the H1 airport viaduct west.. UNLESS I'm dining with dear friends who live out in the west side or as north as Mililani. Worth the drive (not all Assaggio's are alike)! Parking ok, they are located in a shopping center type location If you go for lunch bring your appetite because even their small portion is a relative large portion. We had chicken and clams and bread and roasted pepper. OK OK, not as descript as I would normally be but there it is! Our selection of meals for the luncheon. Moderately priced (although some may say a bit on the high side for lunch) but all things being equal, it's a decent price for table cloth dining.... Food good! Service good! Dining companions BEST!
Second time here with the new owners. I'm so disappointed I will not return. We did not have a reservation but the parking lot was empty so we decided to walk in. We were standing in the front waiting to find out if they could seat us. The manager (?) lady hostess kept looking at us but not acknowledging us and kept doing whatever she was doing in the bar area. She couldn't even say I'll be with you in a minute. At that point I knew I should have left. We were finally seated. We ordered and our food took over 45 mins. Our server noticed and came over to apologize and check on our order. I ordered the Clam Scampi with linguine. The scampi consists of fresh clams, garlic, butter and white wine. The sauce was bland and there wasn't any garlic in the sauce. The manager did come to our table to apologize with empty words. I will not be back. If I want Italian I will drive to Pearl City or Kahala even.
Check in: Always good food and great service at Assagio's Mililani. Chicken piccata is always a good choice. We also tried chicken sorrentino with mozzarella and eggplant on breaded chicken breast with Marsala wine sauce. That dish is great!! The accompanying linguine was fine as well. We topped it off with affogato and sorbet for dessert. Assagio's always delivers!
I am surprised to see so many poor reviews for Assagio. We haven't been here in a few years and last night we had a wonderful time! We had 7:30 reservations and our table was ready and waiting for us! That's already a huge plus in my book. Waters and 2 baskets of bread were immediately brought to our table. The waiter came shortly after and took our orders. I forget his name but it was a Hawaiian name that started with a 'K'. We ordered a bottle of wine and I had one drink. Our food came all at the same time which is another plus! We were happy with the food and had a very enjoyable evening here. My daughter said her New York steak was a little on the salty side but it was cooked perfectly medium rare. My clams casino was perfect! I hope people continue to patronize this restaurant, after seeing the recent poor reviews, I was scared of how it would be, but last night was great so they must be working on improving themselves.
We had a party of six with reservations and we were seated right away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was crowded, but not full.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server immediately tended drink orders and appetizers. The calamari was just average. The breading was a little too thick and they only gave us a choice of either strips or legs and not mixed. Did they include two types of sauces, marinara, and Hot wasabi mustard. The bread was a bit dry also. However the garlic bread was excellent. The rest of our meals came out pretty quickly. The best dish was the jumbo shrimp salad. The shrimp and scallops scampi was a little bland and so was the vegetable scampi, we had to ask for additional scampi sauce just to flavor it up a bit. everyone else enjoyed their meal. The spaghetti's were very good. Everyone also ordered dessert and most were the ice cream with chocolate shell. You do get a choice of either coffee or vanilla ice cream. I also tried the mud pie. It was the smallest version of mudpie I've ever been served. It was not bad and it was perfect for the meal
Dinner was wonderful as usual. We were lucky enough to get seated promptly and our water and bread were quickly delivered to our table. Our server asked us for drinks and order. We had a house salad, spagetti with meat sauce and NY Steak and Shrimp and Pasta. We noticed a QR code for a free dessert so we signed up and ordered a chocolate gelato.

Service - Came to celebrate a friend birthday. As we entered the restaurant were greeted and seated immediately. We were greeted by our waitress shortly after being seated. We placed our orders and the wait was minimal. I mentioned to our waitress it was my friend's birthday. She was very kind and bought out a complimentary scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate sauce and a candle. To celebrate the occasion. Food- I normally order the Chicken Anchovy Olio. This time I wanted to try something different. I ordered the fresh clam scampi. Fresh clams pan fried with olive oil, garlic, light wine butter and served on a bed of linguine. It was light & delicious. Ordered the small perfect portion. Great choice! Ambiance- We dined there on a weekday at about 5pm. There were open tables, and a few other tables that had been occupied by guest. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was relaxed and quiet. However, I'm sure it can be loud during their busy times.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The perfect taste of Italian. Met up with a friend at this restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was great[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], service was good, but the food wasn't the greatest. The clams served for one of the pasta dishes didn't taste fresh. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner with my BFF. She had her favorite Chicken Piccata, and I had the Calamari Steak Sauce. We both shared a Caesar salad and our desserts. Our dinners were very delicious. Our server was awesome and we didn't have to wait long for our food. My BFF complimented her dinner with a glass of Chardonnay and I complimented mine with a glass of Riesling. Very wonderful dining experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is very spacious and accommodating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will definitely come back again. read more
The bread is fresh. Nice and warm. We had the Eggplant Parmesan and the bacon and butter linguini. We also had the calamari strips for an appetizer... which to me was the only disappointing thing we got because it was small and not as crispy. The service was great. My water was filled and never was half full. The bread was stocked as soon as we ate it all. The servers were also very accommodating and friendly. Inside is nice. As local Mililani residents, we tried Assaggio for the first time since they have changed management. The server was nice but obviously in a rush. While the main dishes are tasty, the appetizers taste like frozen cheese sticks and frozen calamari. And the prices for them are atrocious. $15 for 5 cheese sticks. $16 for 6 skinny little calamari sticks. The main dishes were tasty but priced higher than other Italian restaurants we frequent. We also order a side of mixed veggies. $15 for a tiny bowl of zuccini, carrots and onions is not what we were expecting. The atmosphere is pleasant, easy to converse, interior looks freshly redone and well kept. read more
The Mililani location is "Under New Management" based on signage outside the restaurant. I used to really like this local Italian chain, but the most recent experience was underwhelming. First they are severely understaffed! The host doesn't help the wait staff even when he has time on his hands. That leaves customers frustrated with empty water glasses while the wait staff is busy with other tables. It was also frustrating waiting over 15 minutes to just pay the bill. I went up to the host station after waiting an eternity to pay the bill when the waitress saw and came over to intervene. Don't know if the host is the new owner, but please help the staff out when it's busy! The food prices have increased over the years which is expected, but they are still priced 20-25% higher than all local Italian restaurants in the area. The ribeye steak and shrimp picante was good even though the medium rare steak turned out medium well. Do not order the pesto pasta here. Something is really off with their pesto sauce. Take it for what it is, decent place to celebrate a special occasion. Expect to pay a premium for the food and short staffed service. read more

This is my best friends favorite restaurant, so I don't argue when she says she wants to come here and eat but I when I pick, Italian spots are never at the top of my list. I'm not really a fan of Italian food, but I'm a huge fan of Assaggio's! Sadly they don't allow you to make reservations online for parties less than 4, however when I called, the staff was extremely accommodating. When we arrived they attempted to place us by the kitchen (someone help me understand this as this and the bathroom should be the LAST seats filled) however we were able to work that out quickly and get seated by a window. We started with drinks: lava flow with rum and chocolate martinis as well as a shrimp salad. Bread was brought to the table and the bread is always hot when it hits the table. Our rule is whomever the bread is closest to is responsible to butter the bread while it's hot! Allow the butter to melt into the bread and it makes the bread of so much better!!! Assiggos offers small or large plates - I know you might be hungry and you brought your appetite but don't be fooled - large plates are meant to be shared!!! My small plate of filet has two steaks on the plate so as we both got steak I could have shared with her and just ordered a side as we both ended up taking food home. But let's take a moment and appreciate the steak as it was tender and buttery and seasoned so well, hence why I don't mind coming for Italian food. My other friend ordered the ravioli, which she said was good as well. If you are looking to have a nice sit down meal, this is a pretty plus spot. read more
We were in Mililani for our son's football practice, so we decided to just stay on this side and eat here. We knew it was a bit "fancier" and disregarded coming all dressed up, because we were just really hungry and ready to have dinner. Once we entered, the host and some servers didn't bother looking our way at first. My husband had to go up to the host and let him know that we wanted a table. We didn't get that "friendly" vibe or energy, and I did feel like we were being judged upon coming in with tshirt and shorts. Anyway, we ordered our food and our appetizer came within 10mins. The Caesar salad was made right in front of us which our kids always enjoys watching. The salad was very garlicky so it was kind of hard to enjoy the salad when every bite burned with garlic. The spaghetti I ordered was big enough to share between myself and two kids. Taste wasn't too bad, but the meatballs were veryyyy soft. It was not a good texture honestly. Anyway, my husband always orders his pasta plain, so he had no complaints about the taste. When we come here, the service is usually great and so it the food. But on this particular day, everything was really bad. Either they didn't try to impress us because we didn't dress up, or Assaggio's is starting to do not so good. Delicious food! Went for a late lunch after Valentine's Day week. We had the Artichoke Peperonata and the Clams Casino for appetizers I had a Cosmopolitan martini and my friend had a Moscow Mule. Everything was delicious. The restaurant wasn't crowded at 1:00pm. We decided to take home the large order of Eggplant Parmigiana. Great service! Our wait help and bartender was an employee for about 30 years. I mentioned that he was our waiter and we appreciated his service and expertise. Upon arriving home, I discovered that he included an extra helping of their delicious bread. Please support this local business! Excellent food and service every time we visit. We shall return! I like Assagio's. It's a great restaurant that's been in Mililani for what seems like a long time. We made reservations for Friday night and we seated right away when we got there. They people are very welcoming and nice. The bread was warm and brought out right away. All of our dishes were delicious. It's pretty reasonable priced for a pretty nice restaurant. It's very clean and nice inside. I think this is a great restaurant and I will always come back. read more

My wife's meal was dry and lacking Alfredo sauce, they were too busy vacuuming and trying to close to understand that my wife wanted more sauce. I asked their staff if they could get my wife more Alfredo sauce and they said the kitchen is closed. I said Alfredo is simply heavy whipping cream, butter, Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese. They brought out heavy whipping cream and maybe butter, white in color, little to no seasoning and the viscosity was thin as whipping cream. I asked their waitress and manager to taste it as it was lacking and both declined saying that's how they make it. Go figure, all we wanted was extra Alfredo sauce. Didn't want anything free just a good meal. My meal and mom's meal was good, it's sad that they didn't care about my wife's meal. They close their kitchen at 7:45pm, do not dine here while they are trying to close, bcuz they honestly do not care. I don't think the intention was bad but I think the lack of compassion is what bothered me. That ce la vie, it is what it is attitude was evident. I encourage anyone reading this to try this at home, heavy whipping cream, butter, Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese. Super easy. read more
Great service! Our wait staff was excellent! No wait for a table on a Friday, which is amazing! Last second dinner with the family. Ordered quite a few items and nothing was bad. Overall a good solid meal. Will def come back if we're in the mood for pasta and in the area! read more

Great service and great food!! We dined in for lunchtime and it wasn't busy at all there was a cluster of people. Our waiter was great he was very attentive and kind. For appetizers: Calamari In Carrozza Fried Calamari Legs Eggplant Rollatini Main course: Chicken Alla Saltimbocca Romana Calamari Alla Scampi Style Dessert: Tiramisu Everything was great the exquisite taste the relaxing atmosphere was so refreshing that it made the whole meal feel even sweeter. read more

We decided on the Mililani location for dinner because the Kapolei location was closed. We have been trying to have dinner here at Assagios for almost a month but haven't had a chance to go. Walking into the restaurant, we were greeted by a very nice hostess who seated us right away. The restaurant was not too crowded but had still had a good amount of patrons. After being seated our server David came to take our drink order. He was very friendly and I feel that he went above and beyond as he made our orders happen. We are very fond of the steak sauce with linguine. This dish is so good that it is actually on the menu with just the noodles, mushrooms, onions, and steak sauce. If you had this before, you know exactly what I am talking about. I usually order the shrimp picante with spinach and mushrooms, but this time around I wanted steak sauce. We ordered some house cab to start which was pretty good, the table side made cesar salad which was very flavorful. It had a bit too much garlic for me but wasn't too bad. Our entrées were chicken saltimboca with linguine sub the wine sauce for steak sauce and linguine with steak sauce with fried chicken thighs. Our food was magnificent and just sooooo delicious. We were very happy with our entrée choices and had ordered the large size so that we could bring some home. I would definitely recommend both of our dishes. The restaurant had a nice ambiance. Not too dark and not too bright. The noise level was just right and the decor was also nice. Some parts of the wall had metal pieces with Mililani Assagios engraved into it. I thought that was a nice touch. David our server exemplified awesome customer service. He made great conversation and was very welcoming. This location is always a recommendedation for their food and service. read more

First time at this location. Lots of Free Parking. Surprisingly it was busy on a week night. We made reservations for 6:30. We were seated right away. After getting settled our server took our beverage and appetizer order. We started with Homemade Cesar Salad, Sautéed Mushrooms, Escargot. Our entree's were Shrimp Olio, Chicken Piccata, Ossobuco, and Chicken Marsala. Everything was delicious. We were celebrating a few birthdays and ordered a few desserts to share. Our sweet server Wei Wei brought a dessert with a candle so we sang happy birthday to our friends. We will be back. read more

What is the restaurant hours? Yelp says they open 11:00-2:00. But their website says they open 5:00-8:00pm. Please update your system to reflect whatever is correct.

What are their vegan options besides salad?
Just plain salad everything is cooked on the same grill with the meat. Unless u ask them to cook in a pan. They can make pasta I guess but the sauces are not vegan
