    Cheeseburger "All The Way"

Solid 4 stars - Amazing burger, great service, but those fries... After a few years of steering clear of Five Guys due to the steep prices, my family finally gave the Kapolei location a try - and I've got to say, I was pleasantly surprised. The burger? Easily 5 stars. Hot, fresh, and loaded with flavor. If you're in the Ka Makana area and craving a solid burger, Five Guys beats nearby options like EARL, hands down! My whole family was happy with their meals, and that says a lot. The service? Also 5 stars. The cashier was super patient and helpful, even with our indecisiveness. Major shoutout there. Now, the fries... Eh, 3 stars at best. While you definitely get a generous portion (they famously overflow into the bag), the flavor just didn't hit. They use peanut oil, but to me, it tasted more like peanut shells... you know, that dry, woody flavor that reminds you why you're not supposed to eat them. At $9 for a large, I expected something special, not just greasy. The oil also soaked through the bottom and sides of the paper bag, so next time, I'll ask for a double bag if taking it to go. Note: The AC inside is no joke! It was like arctic level cold for me lol. If you're planning to dine in, you might want to bring a light jacket. In the end, the burger and experience were enough to win us back (at least occasionally). Just not sure I'll ever be able to justify the fries again. And I love fries!!! :(

I'm being bias cause my son is manager here now. So I'm giving this place a 5. lol! How ever... He WAS @ Pearlridge location and was recently transferred to this location. Which really works for him because he lives close by. So, let's hope he gets some good reviews. This location has A LOT of young adults working here. And I consider my son to be a young adult BUT... in his case, he's actually much older than these "adults" who he manages. So I'm going to say this place is yummy, delicious and awesome! Nah nah nah kidding! TBH, this location has been crowded & constantly busy. Which says their food is delicious. People are willing to pay $14-$16 for a burger. Says A LOT.

After watching a movie at Olina Consolidated Theater, we walked around for a bit and decided to try Five Guys for a burger and fries. I checked Yelp to see the reviews and I was a little hesitant to try it. However, first hand reviews are the best right? The place is clean and it has a gender free bathroom. You will need to ask for the code to use the restroom. The menu is straightforward and you can have unlimited toppings! I was surprised by that. I ordered a little burger (one patty) with grilled mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, mayonnaise and a side of A-1 sauce to try. My hubby ordered a regular hamburger (2 patties) with everything on top lol. We also ordered a regular size Cajun fries and a drink. The burgers were juicy and flavorful 4/5 stars. I couldn't finish my burger. It was a lot. The Cajun fries were too salty and rubbery ? Not crispy and somewhat undercooked? 2/5 stars. The drink machine was pretty cool as you can pick and choose what type of drink you want. Many options here. 5/5 stars. While we were there, staff came about and cleaned the tables and emptied rubbish. Everyone seemed friendly and professional. I later asked if we could've ordered the fries extra crispy and I was given a yes! Maybe next time.

    Chocolate/malt shake with whipped cream

Today was the first time I went to Five Guys. Glad I did. The young girl at the register was very nice and helpful. I was surprised to see how expensive the hamburgers are. I ordered the little burger which consisted of one patty and all the fixings. I also ordered a shake. I was curious to see how thick and Rich the shakes would be. The young girl patiently answered all of my questions and I ended up getting a combo of chocolate malt shake. The hamburger was delicious the meat tasted very fresh and I had all the fixings except the onions and I added some grilled jalapeños. The shake was good, not too sweet, but it got sweeter at the end. I would definitely stop at five guys the next time I see one. Unfortunately I don't think they have any in town. My girlfriend had the fries, but I didn't care for them too much. The store was nice and clean lots of parking at Kamakana Aki

Sun's out and the buns are warm! Five Guys here at Kamakana Ali'i has checked all my boxes in my decision to have a bite of something that I had no idea what I really wanted. - Indoor air-conditioned seating - price friendly budget - relaxing and comfortable - restroom - fill your own drink with Coca-cola Freestyle touch screen - burger build your own way...and fries!! woohoo!! It was my first time here so I gladly let others go before me as I scan the menu which I'm so glad for that extra time. It is quite simple "Burger, Dogs or Sandwiches" Burgers "regular or little" price will vary if you add bacon and/or cheese. I hesitated to have little as it sounded like it's super tiny uhhh...NO! Not exactly sure of the size it's not a quarter pounder but in my onion little just the regular size and ALL TOPPINGS ARE INCLUDED!!! I just had lettuce, tomato, mushrooms, grilled onions and ketchup. Fries....ahhhh! Little, regular or large...they got me on this one I got regular...should've gotten little! You can get them regular or cajun, of course I had to try cajun which was a nicely tossed in spice...probably would do regular next time since I do love to add ketchup no spice is actually needed. Luckily I kept it simple with a cup of water that is easily dispense from the touch screen Coke dispenser thank goodness because if I got a shake I'd be in deep trouble lol!! Five Guys was a delight they took very good care and was very efficient almost fell into a food coma in the air-conditioned comfort seating but got on my way and tried to walk myself to awaken alertness lol!! Thank you!!

I got the Bacon cheese burger lettuce wrap! It was actually really good! They did forget the Mayo though. The guy was really friendly and provided good customer service. I remember in the past there was this lady (manager) and she was rude, so it's good they probably have better management. Always new workers though, new faces every month. All in all it was awesome.

Also, did I really want a Sonic burger? The answer was an easy no. Did a quick search and found this place which I had no idea existed but now I know they exist in an excellent way. People come here to drink, I'm not a drinker but there was plentynof alcoholic beverages on the back wall for your choice that it could be overwhelming. This is a bar with indoor seating and a World Cup game was on. I think there was outdoor seating but it looked like a different restaurant to me. We ordered dirty fries, a sweet tea, the simple smash, village smash, and sweet tea. I have to admit, I'm overly harsh on burgers but from the first bite, this hit right to me. The dirty fries were good also. We washed down that salt with their mildly sweet sweet tea. That's the only miss for me as I like deep sweet tea thanks to some time spent in Mississippi earlier in life. Their food put themselves on my radar so we will definitely be back as we didn't even scratch the other meats they had on menu.

Since the restaurant looked very busy, I waited another 25 minutes, until about 8:45 PM. I then asked for an update on my order, and I was told it would be another 20 minutes. At that point, I asked if my order had even been started, considering it was only two Smash Burgers and an order of fries. Given the excessive delay and lack of communication, I requested a refund. The long wait and poor updates were very disappointing, especially since I had placed my order in advance for pickup.

We specifically came out to support our friend who was the musical talent providing the live entertainment from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Our reservation was at 5:30 PM, and the vibe was so good that we stayed all the way until 9:00 PM. Because we arrived during the last 30 minutes of happy hour, we immediately ordered a major spread of pupus from the Pau Hana menu. We shared the lechon style brussel sprouts, hand-cut fries, steamed shrimp & pork won tons, scallion bread, and fish tacos. Every single bite was delicious. I paired the food with a Hana Koa Roof Top Pale Ale from their local drafts list, which was crisp and excellent. After happy hour wrapped up, I moved on to the dinner menu and ordered the Half Pound House Burger and fries for my entree. The burger was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. Overall, the food and ambiance were absolutely outstanding, and the service was prompt, attentive, and friendly from start to finish. The noise level was perfectly moderate, letting us enjoy both the live music and our own conversation. We had a great time and will absolutely be back!

I don't know if they want to keep it hidden, but I guess you could consider it that. We went in on a Saturday night with reservations and I highly recommend it since the place was full when we went in and more people kept wanting to come and eat. Service was great from beginning to end, I especially love that everyone accommodated my stroller and my baby. There were four of us and we each got something different, but to start I highly suggest the steamed shrimp and pork wontons and the lechon style Brussels - I would've double-ordered those for my entree if I could have! For entrees we ordered the garlic noodles, misoyaki butterfish, seared catch-of-the-day, and the burger. They were all amazing, and after we all started letting each other try we started making our own "flights" because everything just hit different spots and flavor profiles. In summary, this is one of those places that doesn't care about aesthetics, the decor is casual, but the food is soooo ono. They focus all their energy on food and service, and that makes a winner winner chicken dinner in my book.

So if you prefer traditional ways, this may not be for you and if planning to drink, simply keep with the simplier generic drinks, wine or beer. If you prefer to try different ways and flavors, then you will love this. Service was great and our server was attentive at all times. Thank you. Ambiance was good but outdoor seating may be a bit of a nuance due to flies swarming around you often. The swinging table fan helps but are still annoying plus the tropical heat also didn't help.
