This was our second time trying this place out. The first time we only had fries and it didn't leave a lasting impression, we can't remember how it was. This time around we went for wings and it did not disappoint. It was crispy outside but still juicy inside. The fries tasted good as well. We also got boba. The worker was patient as we asked questions and tried to make up our minds. There were only to employees that we could see but the wait was not long at all. I was always curious to try this place so was excited to have time and be in the area to try Potato corner! The sizes here are quite large, they don't have any small sizes. The smallest size is an $8.95 Mega size. I got the original fries with parmesan and garlic. I was disappointed with the parmesan and garlic fries, i guess my expectation was higher, i thought it would have been fresh parmesan cheese w fresh or even bottle garlic. It wasn't. it was some garlic powder w what tasted like kraft parmesan cheese. I was super stoked to finally try this place, it wasn't busy so that was even better but i was met with the most disgusting customer experience. The girl KJ who took our order was extremely rude the entire time from the moment i smiled at her and greeted her with a warm hello she just stared at me with utter annoyance and it made me feel uncomfortable tbh. She was short and dismissive and the girl next to her was just as bad. The food came out pretty quickly I'd say 5 mins and the drink took about 15 mins. KJ came from around the back with my drink and another's. She called the other persons name stayed gave him a straw then left my drink there walked away and then the other girl said something to her and she gave an annoyed look then looked away then walked back and called ny name. I didn't even wanna go get it any more tbh it really wasn't even all that either... but I got the tater totts with sour cream and onion and garlic Parmesan which were absolutely phenomenal. 10/10 on the flavor and crispness of the tater tots and you really get a bang for your buck. Id get those again but forsure at a different location, i ain't ever goin back to that one again. I also got the brown sugar milk tea boba i got the 100% sweet but it was pretty neutral. Since they didn't have enough for my order I waited as they made more and it took just a few minutes and I do admit the Giga (large bucket) is quite huge. They flavors are all there and seasoned well as they toss it in a covered bucket so that every nook and cranny is seasoned well. This is a fairly new spot located in Waipahu Town Center next to Seafood City. I have been here twice now and both times did not disappoint! The staff is very helpful and friendly. The machines they use to cook everything blows air while the food fries which keeps it from being oily and gives everything a great crispy crunch. The prices are reasonable in relation to the portion sizes. I loved the jojo chips, which are housemade thick cut crinkle potato chips. They were amazing with the cheddar cheese flavoring. The chili cheese fries were good but would have been better if the chili was hot. All the fried items are cooked to order but the chili is pre-made and was just warm, which made it where the cheese really didn't melt. The chili also tasted like it came from a can and wasn't housemate. The tater tots were perfection! Crispy outside and soft and fluffy inside. The garlic parmasean flavoring didn't really shine through on them but still tasted good. The chicken tenders were the stars of the meal. The outside was perfectly crisp and inside was tender and juicy. Absolutely delicious! The reason I'm not giving a full 5 stars is because there were items listed on the menu that were unavailable. The flow of the ordering system needs to be revamped. When you first get into the store, you pick up your order on the left, and you line up down the hallway/along the right side of the room. But if there's a long line, then good luck and hope that the people don't try to cut in front of you. The dining area itself is also rather small, with maybe four 4-tops at the most. You're better off taking your items to go, unless it's empty inside, which it wasn't at the time that we went. The items look to be all pre-frozen, pre-packaged and I can see the workers are trying their best to keep up with the orders. It feels like there's a lot of workers, but not enough at the same time, which I think it has to do with something about their flow of their line. Nevertheless, the Jo Jo chips tasted like a thicker version of a potato chip, it had a crunch, but the powdered BBQ flavor on it was just ok for me. The chicken wings tasted ok but they forgot to include my Honey Mustard Dip sauce- minus one star! The fries were awesome. These fries have a crispy exterior but a soft moist interior that helps bring out the flavor and gives a satisfying texture to chew. If you like really crispy/crunchy kind of fries, then this not for you. I loved their Barbecue seasoning that had a sweet and smoky flavor accented with a some kind of spice that gave it a unique flavor. The size portions of fries were huge- it's no wonder the regular size is called Mega. The service was ok but they seemed rushed trying to keep the orders moving. The cashier greeted people coming in. She wasn't that helpful in suggesting popular items. The order took a while to make. They call out your name when your order is ready. They don't pack your utensils, napkins and straws so don't forget them. They forgot my Honey Mustard dipping sauce so that was disappointing. No way, fries better then McDonald's They have a variety of cuts here, but for me it's either regular fries or tots. Of course, you can get JoJo's (steak fries to me), loopy fries (curly fries to me), or sweet potato fries (err sweet potato fries to me), baked potato and for the adventurous type chili fries. There's only two serving sizes: large (err Giga) you can choose up to two seasonings or their small (err Mega) you can only choose one seasoning. At this location, you can mix BBQ and Sour Cream (my favorite combo) in the Mega. No really get this, it's a good combo. There can be a slight wait time, but I don't mind and neither will you because whatever potato cut you get is freshly fried (with the exception of the baked potato cause as the title states, it's baked) And who doesn't like fried stuff? Except for the baked person. Also on the menu is fried chicken. Looks like tenders and wings only. Parking can be tight with all the stores in the area but hey you have to work off the calories because of all the fries or tots you're going to shove down your mouth. LOVE this place! If you want a salty savory treat, this is the spot! I came here on the soft opening and it did not disappoint. The restaurant was *slammed* but the staff was still so cheery and sweet, and the line out the door moved fast. Food is fire. They're known for fries, and we got ours seasoned with chili bbq. Zum za zee zah! We also ordered the chicken tenders, which my husband loved with honey mustard and Buffalo sauce. Hidden gem on the menu: baked potato! I got the last one of the day, and I'm so glad. Would rate 0 but there is no option. Store did not have garlic and parmesan flavor which is understandable but the fact that they ran out of potatoes which is literally their store name is unacceptable. Ordered chicken but the chicken was very dry and hard. read more
