I always wanted to try the sandwich from here but thought the food was pricey so I end up going somewhere else. Today, looking at their prices, I realized that they are about the same as Subway so decided to try it. On the menu, it lists 3 prices. The proportion of meat to veggies in the sandwich is just right and as a result, the flavors are nicely balanced in each bite. One thing to keep in mind is that the sandwich is on the juicy side, so the longer it sits (if you are doing take out), the soggier the bread gets and the harder it becomes to eat the sandwich as a sandwich. You can find Charley's fronting the food court on the side anchored by Macy's and Ross. Daughter was treating so I asked for a breakfast sandwich with egg and bacon. It was good as any take out fast food chain. Beverage? Bottled water please. Trying to be good. Service is fast as there were two workers at the front counter and one coming out from the back. It's a nice change to have your first meal of the day before you do some serious shopping or walking the mall to keep fit before the crowd arrives. While shopping at Pearlridge on my last trip to Oahu, we decided to stop at their food court and eat here because my parents like their food and it was time to feed the nephews as well. I love Phillys and we don't have Charley's on Maui so I was excited to give it a try. We ordered their number 6 which is their basic philly cheesesteak and we also ordered their chicken philly. Everything tasted good. I think the next time Ill order their philly without lettuce though. Im not sure if you can order extra meat but if you can, I will probably do that the next time and maybe get it with green bell peppers, onions and mushrooms like I used to order from this one place on the mainland. Customer service was excellent, they were super busy but they were getting out orders pretty quickly without any problems it seemed. Went to Pearlridge Mall's farmers market this morning and thought to leave with some breakfast from Charley's. The cashier was nice and friendly but when I simply asked if I could upgrade my drink to a lemonade she looked at her manager (assuming) and this manager rolled her eyes at me and nodded no. First of all, I asked and not demanded. I was only looking for a "yes" or "no" answer and I did not appreciate the rolling-of-the-eyes. Very unprofessional. Not too bad and not too good either. The bread could have been heated and toasted. No idea why a lot of places are not doing this. A warm toasted bread shows the customers that it's fresh rather than a lukewarm bun. The steak was well done. They don't seem to offer any other kind of ways to cook meat. One type of cheese. Cheese steak heaven ! I feel silly saying that the best cheese steak I've ever had is here, in a mall food court but it is so true ! Best cheese steak yet! I opted for the original (without peppers. Meat, cheese and onions only) they offer lettuce tomato and condiments but I like it plain and simple. The sandwich was so moist ! They chop the meat and grill it on a flat top in front of You which I always appreciate. When I got the sandwich, I thought 'kinda pricey for a 6 inch' but it was well worth the nearly 8$. If you don't know where else to get a Philly Cheese-steak then just go here lol. I'm not really a subway sandwich type of eater but their sandwiches are pretty good. Prices are decent. Sometimes they give out samples out which is cool. You get to watch at what you ordered and can always correct them if you are doing it wrong or something. You can also choose your veggies and such. It's conveniently located in the downtown Pearlridge Center Food Court by other food establishments. The sandwiches are pretty light and good for the healthy conscious types. Man I've coming here a few times before and it was always yummy and nothing wrong. BUT I'm not coming here again ever since weeks ago. I had brought my friend here and we both got some food left and headed back to home side as I was eating my fries and my friend was eating her food.. I bit something that wasn't a fry so I took it out my mouth and we noticed it was a tiny foil piece or whatever thing they use for their sandwhiches.. so I ended up calling the place back first thing I greeted them nice and told them I am not trying to get anything or free I just had a small complaint. The lady said ok I told her I was eating the fries and there was a little tiny foil -- before I could say whatever they use for the sandwiches she cut me off and said WE don't use foil... I told her okay whatever has on the-- she cut me off and said (sighs) do you have a receipt? I said yes.. Then she says OKAY then do you have a picture of it? I told her I don't I flicked it.. I didn't think I need it I was just calling to let you know -- She cut me off again and said OKAY-. and before she could finish well it didn't sound like she had more to say so I Was fed up at this point and told her You know (very sarcastic tone) Your bosses must be so pleased to have a worker who has such "GREAT" customer service skills. You haven't even apologized this is so rude. So you're not going to apologize?! The food goes silent for like I swear 30 seconds and finally she's like Well I'm sorry then I guess ma'am. Maybe it's just me but since I've been in Hawaii I haven't seen cheesesteaks on the menu anywhere. When I saw this at the mall I had to try because one can really get tired of the same foods on menus island wide. I was pretty surprised I actually enjoyed my cheesesteak. Comes with lettuce tomato and mayo which one would think would ruin it but I liked it. I got cheese fries with my combo and you can never go wrong with cheese fries. Overall, i would give this place 4 stars. First, they have great sandwiches especially the Philly Cheese steak. More importantly, their fries are awesome...almost as good as Mary's over at Ranch 99! ;) The only real issue I have with this location is the seating they have to share with the other businesses.
