Too bad for me that I supported him for 15 years so he could go to law school, get a law degree and still need me to support him. The next 14 years (2008 - 2023) I managed the Law Office of Jeff D. H*ff**n until his arrest for Elder Abuse and Domestic Violence. At least he tells me he's a Buddhist... he can't answer how that reconciles with attacking me though. He threw away everything he didn't want but what is he planning to do with all my coats, shoes, hats, gloves, Daddy's Bible, everything electric, all my musical equipment, records, posters, jewelry, books: gosh, the list is enormous. I'm guessing he had some help picking and choosing what to toss and taking the rest out of the house because now all he has is a new bicycle. Luckily for me once I was homeless, I had my car to sleep in. Everyone at StorageMart was incredibly kind, even the other clients. I just wish I had more belongings left ...

My advice, find a place where they will lock in the price for at least a year. Also the times they are open isn't very good if you work during the day. At least have one day in the week where it's different. Also the layout is super easy to get lost. So many turns for the carts to handle. Using the cart only elevator is annoying.

HORRIBLE! DO NOT USE THIS PLACE…read more All of my stuff was stolen, OVER 10k worth of gear... within the first 6 months of being here. Employees coordinate to lock pick YOUR UNITS. Have two locks, don't keep anything of value, and get ready for them to triple the price and not work with you at all for future pricing. After all my stuff stolen, they would not work with police or do ANYTHING to supply the footage. Horrible customer support as well. 0/10 do not waste your time.

You tell me if they DEFRAUDED THEIR CUSTOMER. The unit was advertised as 5'x10'. (see photos) They…read morepromise 50 square feet of storage space. (see photos) That's their declared offer on their website. On the contract it reads "approximate" size, 5'x10'. (see photos) When I finally measured the dimensions, the usable square footage was 45", or approximately 4'. (see photos) That's a whopping 15" square inches (over a foot) short of the deal we made. They promoted a 5'x10' and charged me for a 5'x10' and gave me a 4'x10'. That's a 20% reduction in square footage. They delivered 40' square feet. Let me ask you reader: is 40' square feet "approximately" 50' square feet to you? Would you be satisfied with that? Now you might say, you sir should have measured the unit. And you would be right. My bad that I assumed in good faith that a business would deliver on its offer and not short me a whole 20% of the product that they charged me for. My bad for not assuming everyone is predatory in their dealings. I asked for a rebate on the 20% product value that they did not supply me with. The district manager with whom I spoke of course said, "It's approximate. It's in your contract. There's nothing we can do." Approximate is one thing. Delivering 40' square feet of 50' square feet of the product you charged for seems to me more like willful misrepresentation aka fraud. What do you think? Oh, and that's not even why I'm moving out. I'm moving out because they increased the rent from $120 to $211, a 70% increase, which they claim is due to a promotional discount for the first few months ending, the terms of which are sort of buried on page 9 of the rental contract, though with no clear date as to when that will change. I missed the 30 day increase notice because they mailed it to my old address and never sent an email as well. To their credit, when I called them to say I didn't get the notice, they offered to reduce the rent back down to $176. However, that makes me wonder, if you can reduce rental rates at will, why can't you refund me for the square footage you charged me for but didn't provide? Give me a rebate. You owe me one. You might have a contract you can wave in my face, but an respectable business would make good on its offer.

TIP: Come prepared. It will save you time & money!!…read more 1) Bring evidence of your homeowners/renters insurance showing your personal property is covered. They require you to have insurance covering your belongings in storage, so if you don't have proof when you pay, you have to pay for theirs ($14/month) until you do. 2) Bring a padlock. Or two; there are two lock slots on each unit door. I recommend the discus ones (unless you lose keys a lot and it will end up needing to be cut, in which case I suggest a 2 standard locker lock lol). If you don't have one when you pay for your unit, you'll have to buy one (they have a variety available). DEETS *There are 2 elevators, but only one of them goes to the 3rd floor, so be aware if you get a third floor unit. *There is a loading dock on one side in which multiple cars can pull fully in and be covered!!! Have to go up ramp/stairs to get to first level/elevator, though. But it blew my mind. It can get popular at peak days/times, so there are also street level gates that I like to use to avoid other people lol. *Your gate security code is individual! So they can lookup who was in the building at any given time if needed ... *You punch in your personal code at a regular door. The code unlocks the door, allowing you inside where you can hit a button to open the respective large roll-up door. *They have flatbed carts available (and not locked up), so if it's busy you may have to look at the other elevator to find one. * When they're taking you around take note of unit numbers and "landmarks" to learn the way. They do not have maps posted! *There's an emergency sprinkler system which has relatively low pipes. You cannot block them. You have 77" clearance for height. *Biggest plus: You will not find more extensive gate hours elsewhere!! Clean & decently lit halls. Individual units are too dim as there is no lighting above them. Unit design means that bars and whatnot will be in the way - it's not 4 smooth, uninterrupted wall surfaces. Tonia was nice and took time to make sure I understood everything; from the rental contract to how to get in. {Would have liked to been told my two tips either of the two times I spoke with her on the phone though}. Like her, whoever signs you up and gives you a tour will be getting calls and multitasking. They have to. It was fine to me. Overall

Whether management is involved in break-ins that occur, or just don't give a damn, Im not really even sure which is worse. Management also loves to park in the loading bay with things like prybars and gloves in the truck bed. This along with the total lack of care and the "this has never happened here," lead to be highly suspicious of anyone associated with this (or by extension) any other ESS facility. Place should be ashamed and owners should be embarrassed.
