There is not much in the area, fast food chains .....I love that it is veteran owned and operated. That is one of the reasons I chose this restaurant. Exceptionally clean. The subs were better than most other places. Down sides: no public restrooms, And quite frankly I thought it was a little expensive for subs. 3 12" and 3 pops was 47 and some change before tip. Solid place to stop at while on the road. Surprised by the quality of food from this place. Got a steak and cheese sub and created a sub with corned beef and salami. They're about $1-2 more than subway and it's worth it. Generous with the meat and toppings and the bread to my surprise was actually really good- the kind of bread I could probably just eat by itself. Driving along this area, there aren't many options of good quality food without having to sacrifice a lot of time to sit down. When we arrived to this hole-in-the-wall, we were greeted with bright faces from the two happy workers. I haven't had a cheesesteak in a while, so I ordered a full one along with chips and a drink. The cheesesteak was very good and coming from someone who's used to eating Philly cheesesteaks, I was not disappointed. The quality of the food was great and the workers were friendly and accommodating. Solid 5 stars. I would definitely go again when I travel through here in the future. Refreshing to find a place in breezewood that is not only welcoming and friendly but serving up really great food. My cheesesteak was fantastic, the table also raved about the bacon egg and cheese, ham and cheese, and the pastrami sandwich. I would like to see more bread options like rye (hello, hot pastrami and Swiss on rye!). That said, this is, hands down, the best option right now for a meal at breezewood! Fresh and delicious sandwiches! We stopped here on a long car trip and I'm so glad we found this place. They use high quality meats, cheese, and bread. I had the Ronnie's Italian sub. It had a good amount of meat and cheese on it. I really liked the balance of flavors in the toppings. There was nice acidity with the vinegar and banana peppers. I also love that they toast or grill the bread so it's crispy and flavorful. It's refreshing to be able to get a high quality sandwich on the road where too often you're stuck with fast food. Got the Ronnie's Italian - awesome Boar's Head deli meat with great balance of oil and vinegar and herbs like oregano, banana peppers, lettuce/tomato. Bread is so good - crispy on outside but still chewy and thin. I'm not a big bread person where the sub is mostly just lots of bread and no filling. Also got the Philly cheesesteak - again, delicious! Hot and fresh and full of good filling and crispy hot bread. I thoroughly enjoyed my sandwich experience here. I drove into Breezewood very hungry, but not wanting to wait a half hour for a sandwich down the street. I came into Subplicity hoping for a shorter wait time and an amazing sandwich after seeing all of the positive reviews. I was not disappointed ted. This is absolutely (in my opinion) the best place to stop for something to eat in Breezewood! In a field of greasy, not to mention gross, fast food, Subplicity uses fresh Boars head meats, fresh(er) ingredients than a typical chain, and has homemade soups as well if that's more up your alley. The sandwiches are made-to-order and leaps and bounds above Subway. They do serve breakfast sandwiches all day, and have a variety of other meats and cheeses to choose from too. I went with a turkey sub, pepperjack cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomato, and banana peppers with honey mustard sauce. It was fresh but skimpy on the toppings and they don't toast it so no melted cheese. My boyfriend had an egg, ham, and cheese on wheat. They forgot the cheese but noticed it before he took a bite and remade his sandwich for him. If this place was anywhere else, it would be a solid 2.5 stars, but, due to the location where you have your choice of McDonalds, Subway, Perkins, or Bob Evans, this sure did beat all of those options so I feel it can be a three star review given the circumstances. read more

YUM! Found this gem of a sandwich shop because we needed a Starbucks fix. Saw this place next door and they advertised Boars Head meats. Went in and found a very clean and inviting counter with the owners ready to serve. A guy in line told me I would not be disappointed in anything they make and he was right. I had a 1/4 lb. Turkey and provolone sandwich with my selection of toppings. It was perfect size and ohhh soooo flavorful. Messy to eat in the car, but that really couldn't be helped. I wouldn't recommend it for the road though. Take a few extra minutes to sit in the dining area so you can enjoy your fresh food. read more

We stopped a couple of days ago. The food was amazing. I had the half a Philly cheese steak. Absolutely amazing. No gristle and the meat was so tender. My husband had a turkey sub and enjoyed it too. They have new owners-- both veterans-- polite friendly and good cooks!! The restaurant was spotless as were the restrooms. There is a lot to say about this place, and not much of it is good. The sub: I ordered a club. The meat was fairly tasty, they use Boar's Head products. If I closed my eyes and ate a bite of just the meat, I was reasonably satisfied. The cheese was fine too. The bread was impressively dull. I think I could buy a loaf from the supermarket, pound it flat with my fists, leave it outside for 3 days, and it would be an accurate imitation of the bread that is served. Veggies such as tomatoes and lettuce were almost more white than red/green respectively. This is a common sign of ingredients that are not fresh. Atmosphere: Let's count how many things are broken/out. Ice. Soda. Tea machine. 1 bathroom is out of order. This is what I noticed within 3 seconds of walking in the door. There is a previous review from 3 months ago that describes much of the same broken things. 3 MONTHS AGO. You couldn't fix anything over the course of 3 months? This is laziness, plain and simple. The floors were dirty. I'm going to guess they are cleaned only once a day, but I think that might be too generous. Menu: There are 2 subs on the menu. There were some soups on the menu but they were out of all of them. They were out of other ingredients such as mushrooms. Prices were too high - $8 for a 6-inch sub and I think $12 for a 12-inch. Closing thoughts: I'm very disappointed. Breezewood is a popular stopping point between I-70 and the Turnpike bereft of food options, so all you need is a halfway decent place and you could have a ton of business. Your only competition is a Taco Bell and Subway, and I will continue to take my business there in the future. read more
