Our family happened to stop here by chance and boy, are we glad we did. We ordered three different sandwiches and they were all delicious. That said, we did wait 20 minutes (we knew we would have to wait, but this seemed a bit much). Combinations aren't too sophisticated, and if you aren't careful they'll slather everything with mayonnaise, but what do you expect for Breezewood. Let's start with the name. Subplicity. It's hard to say and it doesn't really explain what this place is. A better name would have been Subusted. Literally everything was broken inside. The fountain drink dispenser and the gold peak tea tank were both broken, bearing hand written signs indicating they were out of order. And in the case of the tea, apparently no longer being sold at the establishment. The fountain drink was so broken that water was continuously pouring out of it to the point that the wood below it was rotting away. How bout shutting the water off, champ?! Putting a sign on it and walking away doesn't exactly count as fixing it. Let's move on to the bathrooms. Even though that was said in plural, there was only actually one capable of use which was labeled with another hand printed sign indicating it was "uni-sex". The other bathroom, which was another thing broken, had a sign indicating it was closed with an additional piece of paper tacked on saying if you were to enter you would get stuck due to a broken door handle. It's completely unacceptable for a rest area restaurant to only have one working restroom, especially when it's just a broken door handle. Any schmuck with YouTube and a screwdriver could have figured that out in 20 minutes. Speaking of rest area restaurants, generally people want their food pretty quickly. Ours was indeed quick, however there was yet another sign at the front stating that the lunch rush had extended wait times. The sign went on to say that no refunds would be given due to the wait and all orders were final. Is this a sub shop or the DMV? I'm thinking the signs are a reflection of the staff, who were grumpy and lazy. Instead of fixing things they put up the signs. Despite all of the above, the subs were delicious, two stars. If this place is still open by the time you read this, I'll be shocked. UPDATE: drove by this place today and there was a handwritten sign that read "Closed, be back by 2:45". It was 3:05. read more

In the gray and dingy morass that is dining in Breezewood, Subplicity shines like a warm beacon. The people are super nice and welcoming and place is clean. The sub rolls are squishy soft with great flavor. Subs are piled high with paper thin shaved meats and lettuce. One of if not the best sub I've ever had. We stopped on way to Pittsburgh and again next day on way back. Do not miss this place. Wish it was closer to us. read more

Wow, driving back from Cleveland and needed a late lunch break. I usually avoid Breezewood - it's effectively a truck stop and the restaurants tend to be somewhere between unremarkable and not good. With that, let me say that Subplicity was way, way, waaaaay off scale high in terms of food quality and friendly service. I absolutely loved their chicken cheesesteak - hot, fresh, tasty, with banana peppers and some seasoned fries on the side. They are no-nonsense and do not make any claims to "fast," but I'll tell you that I had my sandwich in under ten minutes. And it was well-worth it! I'd definitely return next time I'm headed to Bedford, Pittsburgh, or points west... Thanks! read more

This place was a little haven in the middle of the Breezewood fast food/gas station sprawl. Easy to find right off the highway and great handmade sandwiches made by friendly staff.
