I'm not always the quickest to jump onto Yelp to review a chain. The owners of this establishment have Kirsten to thank for my review. Kirsten is thee barista you want to encounter in the morning. Her voice through the drive through speaker is as refreshing and energetic as that extra shot of espresso you planned to order. She didn't just hand our food order over but took an appropriately brief amount of time to ask us where we are traveling. She and her team members were efficient in making our venti pumpkin spice latte-- it's worth a try, but we heard from an acquaintance to buy it with brown sugar next time-- and bacon, Gouda breakfast sandwich. We happily skiddaddled down the road pleased by such a wonderful drive through customer service experience. Kudos to you, Kirsten! read more

On a road trip from Washington, D.C. to Grand Rapids, Michigan, we stopped at this Starbucks, nestled among many other rest stops and restaurants. It's a large Starbucks with two restrooms kept clean and excellent service. A busy staff keep the coffee flowing between the counter and drive thru. I ordered the new drinks with boba and apparently the workers don't like it when you ask for no I've. if I'm paying $6 for a tall, why should Half of the drink be ice? I got the refresher with coconut milk and there was only a couple pieces of boba at the bottom compared to my friend who ordered the exact same thing but without the milk. The prices and everything were cool, but if you expect me to order a drink with half ice to give me the correct proportion size I don't know why your selling it in the first place. read more

We drove thru for a quick couple of lattes and the order came up, we paid, drove down the road a few miles, and when we finally lifted our cups to our lips...we realized the cups were only 2/3 full. So you pay for a venti and get the next size down? Not cool. My husband says his tastes funny, too, and he should know since he's a regular Starbucks visitor in multiple cities. Headquarters needs to get and handle on this place. It's definitely not up to par. Starbucks are all the same, right? Not in this case. The quality of drinks is definitely not up to the normal Starbucks standard at this location. The drinks consistently taste funny here. They always make me sick. I am not sure if it's maybe the water they use or if this location is not cleaned as well or what the issue is. The drinks are also not as hot as any other location I have gone to. The staff has always been friendly, although they like to tell me that I could go right up the street to Sheetz and pay a lot less for my coffee and specialty drinks. I'm not sure that's great customer service or advertising for Starbucks. I tried to use my "reward" and the employee wasn't sure how to ring it up. That needs addressed since Starbucks is well known for their rewards when using their app. On the positive side, this location is easily accessible in a busy town. Breezewood is The perfect stop for a drive between Pittsburgh and Washington DC. Compared to the other popular rest stops, namely Midway and Somerset, I prefer Breezewood because I don't need to get off the expressway to get to it. This is the point where the 70 and the 76 merge and one expressway ends and the other begins. So, there is no extra merges here. This starbucks is at the perfect stopover point while driving towards the west. It's the first store as soon as you get off the 70. The interior is nice, they have a few comfy couches. And the restroom is really neat and clean, unlike some of the other Starbucks I've been to. And you get the usual variety of coffees. This is my to go rest stop on this route. read more

Your typical Starbucks, and being that this is a truck-stop town it's only fitting that it have a drive thru...for cars anyway. I'm not big on Starbucks coffee, so when my wife asked for a mocha Frappuccino WITH half a shot of decaf espresso, I shake my head and think why do women have to be all complicated. So I place the order and tell the barista to make that with half a shot of decaf espresso. He informs me that it already comes with 1 shot of espresso. I tell him the wife wants a mocha Frap comes WITH 1/2 a shot of espresso, which to me means 1.5 shots. I hand the mocha Frap to my wife and she complains it's too strong. I tell her it's made with 1.5 shots and then she tells me she only wanted 0.5 shots of espresso. Yelpers, help me out, was I wrong or was she wrong? I contend she should have said "....WITH ONLY a half shot" and I probably would have understood her better. read more

Convenient "rest stop" location, located right off of the PA turnpike. I love that this Starbucks is a "legit" Starbucks and not one of those turnpike wannabe stores. Depending on the time of day/week/year you go, this location can get pretty busy. Standard Starbucks menu with a full pastry case, as well as sandwiches and snacks. Went here for coffee and snacks driving through today. Waited a couple minutes while the person taking orders swept the floor as 4 of us stood in line. Once we finally were allowed to order, she skipped one of our cookies. When we asked, she argues about it, saying we only ordered one. I pass though Breezewood at least once a month and was extremely delighted when this Starbucks opened up. Like many Starbucks that operate in small towns, this store is clean and staffed by energetic and friendly Baristas. They are attached to a Quizno's, so if you are looking for a lunch/coffee spot in this trucker's oasis, it's a one-stop shop. They have a drive-thru around back and the service is really fast. If you are trying to get back to I-70, exit out the back and wait at the light. If you are headed to the turnpike, just make a right out of the front. read more

Pretty badly designed for customer flow. The ordering line starts close to where the restrooms are. Only 2 restrooms, 1 stall each, are supplied for such a busy rest stop! Lines tend to converge. Customers did not know where to line up to order. On the flip side, the service was friendly and we received our drinks pretty quickly after ordering. I stopped by this Starbucks last night, a little before 8pm. Although the roads outside were busy, it was quiet and clean inside. I was the only customer and the service was fine. I was surprised that they tried to charge me for adding soy to my iced coffee. Across America I have been asked to pay the sixty cents for EXTRA soy, but never have I been charged for getting any at all. read more

The girl making the drinks then gave us an attitude when we finally got them. All we did was ask, politely, when our drinks were going to be ready. About 20 min for 2 drinks was our wait time. The coffee is good and the service is good. The line for bathrooms is often really long with a very long wait. Also, we are often here at breakfast times and are disappointed as vegetarians that all 7 of the premade egg sandwiches have some kind of meat. It would be nice if they had at least one with just egg and cheese like many Starbucks have. Huge disappointment each time we visit on our drive through Breezewood. read more
