Fantastic. I love a locally run restaurant and this did not disappoint. At their recommendation we split the Italian served hot. That was the best sandwich I've had in a LONG time It was perfection. Thinly sliced lettuce and onion. Banana peppers. Meats heated on the grill. Can't wait to stop again on the way home. read more

Went for the first time today and my experience was great! I was greeted by Darron who provided great service and was very friendly. I got the Philly steak cheese sub, and it was absolutely delicious. The bread was very fresh and the steak and provolone together tasted delicious. The ingredients were very fresh and they were slicing cheese and meat during my arrival. Overall, I would highly recommend if you want a delicious sub!! read more

My husband and I each ordered a Philly Cheesesteak. It was delicious. Well-balanced on the seasoning and bread was so soft. They mixed meat, cheese, and onions perfectly. The service was great. The gentleman at the register was friendly and patient. As we ordered, he even gave us suggestions and asked if we wanted any other add ons. We will definitely be coming back. read more

We got a Philly cheesesteak and a turkey sub and both were really fresh and well made. We went in with a toddler but just know there wasn't a changing table in the women's bathroom. I do wish they carried some fresh fruit like bananas or apples but we'll definitely stop in again, we always drive through breezewood to visit family in Buffalo. read more

Great hot Italian sub! Nice staff. Near Tesla supercharger but dangerous walk. Worth it but be careful. read more

Friendly staff. Tasty sub, but the bread was a little weird. It's real thin and a little doughy. read more

Subplicity - Cheesesteak sub (provolone instead of American) - Delis Near Me - Breezewood, Pennsylvania

Fresh, hot, yummy subs! We stopped here on a trip to Cherry Springs and were pleasantly surprised. We got the cheesesteak (we TRIED getting the chicken cheesesteak but it came out as steak) with American cheese and the beef melt. We're both piping hot and the bread was airy soft and chewy. I wish we could add toppings like hot peppers but the subs were pretty good as is! read more

The best sub ever. Service was friendly. Will definitely be back! Small place but worth it

even though we really pass this way, when we do we make a habit of stopping at subplicity. The subs are made fresh and are always delicious. Never disappointed! read more

A Philadelphia, PA quality cheesesteak in Breezewood, PA (186.6 miles apart)!!! I was skeptical, but I gave Subplicity a try. Anyone travelling from D.C. going to Pittsburgh or Ohio knows about the township of Breezewood. It is a square of a place that has numerous gas stations, fast food outlets, and dingy roadside motels. It is the literal halfway point between D.C. and Pittsburgh and always a must stop. Usually a stop is for gas and fast food. (side note...the world's greatest McDonald's is in Breezewood.) On this trip I saw a sign for Subplicity and it was calling me like a Siren of Greek Mythology might call to a shipwrecked sailor. Before stopping there I thought to myself, "self, what is the worst that can happen? I eat a mediocre turkey sandwich or roast beef?" Boy was I surprised when I saw that they featured cheesesteaks. What is more, they were using fresh, prime rib-eye steak to make the sandwiches. Perfectly cooked on the ultra clean flattop with sweet onions, I felt like I was in one of the much ballyhooed Philadelphia cheesesteak emporiums. The fantastic bread was sourced from Costanzo's, a Buffalo New York bakery that makes outstanding wheat sub rolls. All the fixin's were fresh and the place was spotless. The taste of the cheesesteak was decadent, superb, and many other positive adjectives. That provolone cheese was like a mix between sharp and sweet. I ordered the half size. Big mistake, get the full size sandwich. Eating that great cheesesteak, I could have sworn that right out the window I could see the Liberty Bell or Meek Mills' Twitter fingers typing a diss reply to Drake. Kevin Hart would be in the parking lot telling jokes while Patti LaBelle was singing Lady Marmalade. That cheesesteak had me playing the Rocky theme song all the way home!!! Eye of the Tiger, (or Rib-eye of the Tiger) indeed! Located next to the town's only Starbucks and smack dead in the center of the mini "Metropolis" that is Breezewood, you cannot miss the place. Do not miss this place or pass by on the other side. They have just a few tables but I would eat the sandwich in the car if they were packed. Would that they opened a location in D.C.!!! A man can dream... . Five stars are not enough! Subplicity has well earned all the accolades I have bestowed!!! read more

Subplicity if you go with just the name itself sub is not simplistic the flavor combos and the way it's put together is very well done this place should be a hit anywhere and if it was a box store there will be a lying around the door if you ever get a chance to be off of exit 161 off of Interstate 76 or you're near the north Breezewood Road area you definitely need to check this place out do not go to any other place stop here first you will be amazed I had a roast beef cheddar melt type thing but when he says roast beef it's not what you picture with Arby's it is nice wonderful Boar's Head roast beef that has flavor and texture to it as well as the cheddar cheese and then the Mayo I'm not sure what Mayo it is but the onions and the banana peppers I'm not a mustard fan so I didn't get the mustard on it but man did it make my mouth water and want more if I could find a way to move this company out to our area or find a way to franchise it but of course I unfortunately would have to have him because between him and his I'm assuming wife team is probably what makes this place spectacular again if you have a chance to check it out even my picky 8-year-old enjoyed the food quite well he had the Philly steak combo again don't miss out read more

Wow - totally unexpected sub shop right off the PA turnpike! Locally owned and delicious made to order. I'm not kidding when I say it was the best sub I've ever had! We tried both the hot cheesesteak and chicken subs (fully loaded) and the cold clubs. Rave reviews all the way around! PS - Yelp takes you in the wrong direction - just look for the Starbucks, they're right next door. read more

Best sub my husband and I ever had! Wished it was closer to our house! So bomb! Small mom and pop shop but they know what they doing!

Please update your hours... Went by there today and yesterday. You are still closed with no sign that says your hours.

Always friendly service and the best sandwiches in Pennsylvania. Tasty and piled high with meat. We stop here every time we go through Breezewood. Don't miss it! read more

I cannot get over how good these subs were. If you see my reviews I rarely give 5 stars and I definitely did not anticipate giving 5 stars to a sub place but OMG these were SO good. We got 5 different subs and every single one was made exactly as ordered and were slamming amazing! I even finished my kids subs because I couldn't toss them. The bread, the meat, the cheese... every single ingredient was just so tasty. The staff here was patient with indecisive children and were so friendly. The bathrooms were clean and they even had a military discount/special. I realize there are other sub places steps away at roadside convenience stops but please GO HERE INSTEAD! You will NOT regret it. I wish I lived closer because I would go here all the time. Well done! read more

Randomly stopped in and the food is excellent!! Definitely stopping in on our way back. Food was fresh, hot and served so fast.

We just stopped for lunch-2 hot chicken cheesesteaks, 1 Italian sub, and 1 club sub. They were absolutely delicious! Super nice staff and clean restrooms. Loved this place! Will definitely stop again when traveling through. read more

Incredible Philly Cheese Steak. Highly Recommend Subplicity. Staff was very friendly too.

What a great little place in a sea of chain restaurants and gas stations at the intersection of several major roads. I stopped with some friends, and the whole thing was great. This is a no pretense place, so you order at the counter and they have "some" seating, but don't let that throw you. Sandwiches (I had a cheese steak) were good to very good in quality and quantity. They have a clean, simple interior and drinks come from a cooler (bottles or cans). My only gripe is the much too lively parking lot shared with a Starbucks. Overall, if you want real food, the price and quality make this a great place to stop. read more

Great sandwiches and quick service despite the lunch time rush. Everything was very fresh. Restaurant was clean.

I got the Club. The bread was terrible. It was chalky and without flavor. The turkey and roast beef were not very flavorful. The sandwich relied heavily on its bacon, both in mouthfeel and flavor. This tasted similar to a sub you would get from one of the local gas stations, but for twice the price. I understand the high rating. This is in an area of poor options and this might be slightly better quality. But it's not by much and its certainly not a great sub. read more

Subs were fantastic!! Please build a web page and menu to create more business! Definitely will be back!

I was about to agree with my fellow Yelpers that Subplicity is one of the best options in Breezewood, especially given that Starbucks is right next door for refueling too. The high prices ($24 for a six inch sub and a reuben) did not dissuade me. Alas, the long blonde hair I found in the fries accompanying the reuben was unsettling. After seeing some of the other comments about the condition of the bathroom, I question the sanitary habits of Subplicity employees. read more

Worked up and down the East coast and these subs are the best I've ever had. Both hot and cold subs are in a league of their own. The staff are very friendly and quick. Excited to try their whole menu. read more

The food was ok; nothing to write home about but decent for a quick stop sandwich place. It started off well with the order; however, the customer service turned out TERRIBLE. The person who took our order misheard/didn't properly enter one of our orders and put ingredients on that we were allergic to. When we brought it to their attention to remake the order, we were argued with, dressed down, and told repeatedly we were wrong by one of the other employees. Both adults in our party spoke with the employee, and we both explained the situation and that we just needed the order remade. They continued insisting we were wrong, calling us back up to repeat the "accusation" (their word) that it was our fault the order was incorrect. read more

Yep. this place has the best Philly Cheesesteak outside of Philly. I got a foot long, and they served it as two separate 6" sandwiches! Wrapped individually! Yes! Thank you! Staff was nice enough too. This is a much better choice than the fast food and gas station options all along that same (awkward) interchange. read more

A friend and I stopped here during our spring break road trip. Crazy good sandwiches and friendly folks. My friend got the club sandwich and I made my own, both really good. Ingredients were quality and we both loved the way their lettuce was shredded. You're not likely to walk away with squeaky clean hands but it's all worth it. read more

Breezewood is like a some weird, crumbling, trucker's outpost in the middle of nowhere. Uninspiring otherwise for places to eat, I found this place highly rated on Yelp. It's awkwardly situated near a very busy intersection, so you need to be persistent to get here, I would advise (but its worth it!). The place itself is pretty plain I would say, but the submarines I saw and the one I had, looked and tasted magnificent! I had the beef cheddar melt (with grilled onions and banana peppers, mayo and mustard). It was beautifully meaty and cheesy. YUM! Service was fast and friendly. Definitely, hit this place, if you're passing through and hungry! read more

Top quality meat on top notch sandwiches.... as long as you're willing to wait a while during peak meal hours. I always feel like they need more staff working here to keep up with demand. My family and I have been going through Breezewood twice a year for at least 20 years. We've always eaten at another restaurant but decided on Subplicity this year. WOW!! The restaurant and restrooms were very clean, the service was efficient and friendly, the prices were reasonable and it was locally owned---all plusses for me. Then we got our food and were just blown away!!! Everything was truly excellent-well seasoned and cooked to perfection. This is where we'll be stopping to eat from now on. Just proves that, with the right incentive (see above), you can teach old dogs new tricks. read more

Finally, a good option for food in Breezewood. Not much as far as ambiance, but if you are looking for a great sub, then his place is your spot. We had a pastrami sub, a mushroom sub and an Italian -- Each one was better than the last. Priced reasonably and served quickly. Definitely recommend adding this spot on your travels! read more
