OK this hot dog was epic! Crab Mac and Cheese on top of one of the best hot dogs I've ever tasted?! You can actually taste a big difference in the actual wiener itself over all the other places I've been. These were in one word epic! I'm amazed that this establishment maintains business solely by selling $7 hot dogs. Don't get me wrong...these are great hot dogs but $7.00 and no caviar or champagne on the side?...I don't think these hot dogs are worth the high price, especially since one hot dog is not enough. This place is a tiny little shack near the water in fells point. My friends and I usually stumble in around 2:30am hammered drunk like everyone else (why else would you pay $7.00 for a hot dog) it's open till 3am on the weekends which is a good thing. Since this place is tiny and open late night, it can get really rowdy. I thought it was hilarious that there was a bouncers keeping people from coming in and out but when you think about it...it's kinda necessary. So last night a friend and i stopped in after the bar.. note this is a SATURDAY NIGHT as soon as i get to the counter they tell us it will be about 10 minutes. So we wait and about 20 minutes go by and there are literally 6 tickets in the window.. this place is PACKED. If 3 people cant handle this many customers maybe they should add another 3 to this shift because due to their incredibly slow service our uber went up about $40 and we were very unhappy. I love hot dogs, and have never been disappointed by Stuggy's. The prices are good, as is the quality of the dogs. Morover, they have a great range of toppings, including their homemade cheese sauce which I would happily eat with a spoon up until the moment that the coronary took me home to Jeebus and I would have no regrets. I once loved this place. The gyro dog was the best along with the crispy duck fat fries! The last time I went, the fries weren't the extremely thin sticks anymore. They were just fries drenched in "duck fat". I asked them about the change, they denied having the thin potato sticks before...liar, I have pictures! i LOVE hot dogs. they have all beef hot dogs and the hot dog itself is yummy. stuggy's has a wide selection of toppings for their dogs. i ordered the late night when i came here - hot dog with mushrooms, bacon, and a fried egg. i wish i had added ketchup before leaving the place because it was kind of dry, but otherwise delicious. the fries are interesting - they are dusted in parmasean cheese or something, but i felt like it was added calories without much flavor to it. i had a bite of my friend's Bmore dog and doggie bowl. With just once slice of balogna in the Bmore dog, the flavor didn't really stand out. I think out of everything, the doggie bowl stood out - their chili is spicy yet sweet and totally left me craving more. i love the fountain soda choices! it has the old school root beer, cream soda, orange cream, etc. they can also make floats =D which i have yet to try. this isn't really the dine in kind of place - we ended up carrying out our food and eating on top of the car. can't wait to go back and try more combos! read more

I'll definitely be back - the Boylan fountain soda selection is a nice change of pace, the fries are incredible and meaty, and the dog was perfect......I will say that I wasn't really into the crab mac-n-cheese additon so I'll probably get the Carolina or Late Night next time I'm there. Stuggy's was amazing!!! I love hotdogs and I highly recommend anyone who loves hotdogs to come here. It has a really unique twist to the common hot dog, but to be honest it really depends which day you come in. I came here twice (two different days) and the first day was definitely better. It really depends which cook you get, since the way they make it varies depending on how they grill it. The top two choices I would suggest trying is the crab mac n cheese and the Cuban one. It's definitely unique and similar enough to a regular hotdog that it will not disappoint. The beef hotdog is super delicious and moist! The soda selection they have is overhyped though imo. If you're looking for your average, street hot dog, don't show up to Stuggy's. Come here for specialty hot dogs with different and delicious taste combinations. I usually get the Chi-Town. This beast is loaded with things and you should prepare to get very messy. I recently mixed it up and got the LA dog, a sausage wrapped in bacon and deep-friend, loaded with grilled onions and peppers. It was so juicy and well-cooked. The staff have always been super fun, friendly, and chatty whenever I show up at Stuggy's, which is impressive given how many drunk revelers are filling the place and making it all chaotic. The one time I ended up at Stuggy's sober (today!), the guy working there (who turned out to be the new manager) ended up chatting with me and the boyfriend while he cooked. It's always a comfortable vibe when you go to Stuggy's. You'll be stuck standing while you eat in the tiny place, but it's pretty spacious on the weekdays, and full of funny drunk people on the weekend nights. read more

I stumbled across this place online and it had most of what I was looking for: wild game sausages, duck fat fries and a "secret menu that's updated daily". And it was only a 15 minute drive from my house?! GREAT! I went there the same day. Got there and it wasn't what I physically expected. Ok, whatever. High expectations. So, I order my wild bore dog and asked about the secret menu. They had no clue what I was talking about. A little disappointing but whatever. I then proceeded to order the Bob Marley with an addition of pineapple salsa, which was listed as a topping for the Maui Wowie online. They had no clue what I was talking about. With disappointment growing, I finish my order with the duck fat fries and a soda. My whole order came to $20 which kinda threw me off. $8 for the dog itself (which was so small that they decided to put another one on it), $4 for the Bob Marley style, $6 for a small order of duck fat fries and the rest on the drink which I had to ask for after waiting around 5 minutes for it. Anyway, I got my order to go and sat outside to eat it. Upon taking out the fries, I immediately notice that they're downright soggy, sitting in a pool of liquid fat. Thoroughly disappointed now, I'm trying hard to eat them while also trying not to feel guilty as a family of ducks swim past me. The dog was alright but nothing I'd pay $8 again for. My friend wanted to come here since she's been craving fried oreos. This is my first time having a fried oreo. It was delicious! Warm oreo filling with a soft non greasy dough on the outside. I tried the Crab Mac & Cheese because you can't get more B'more than a Stuggy's dog topped with crab... but there was nothing special about the macaroni and cheese, which was barely warm, the crab was cold and straight from a store bought tub of lump crab meat. We went here at the suggestion of our friend we were visiting and were pleased with the place and the staff for the most part. Our friends who suggested this place ordered fries (as did we) and when we got them they looked tempura battered.. weird. they tasted ok but weren't the best. Our friend said the fries were weird and were usually much better and not so crunchy. He politely asked if they had changed the way the fries were made because they did not taste as good as normal. the response was "what's wrong with them, oh we probably used too much corn starch, sorry man. thanks for the heads up." I got the crab Mac and cheese dog and I am sad to say I was pretty underwhelmed with it. The Mac and cheese wasn't very cheesy at all and the noodles were a little soggy. Went to Stuggy's for the first time yesterday after having tried one of their dogs at a barbeque. To start, the staff is really friendly, which is a huge plus. There are a number of hot dog combinations, and I opted for the famous crab mac (hot dog + mac n cheese + crab). While I loved the idea of combining the flavors together on the crab mac, the mac n cheese itself was a bit bland, and really just acted as a filler to the dog. I'm not a fan of hot dogs but I was pleasantly surprised with the variety on the menu! Who knew you can order mac and cheese on a hot dog! I decided to get the crab mac and cheese on a veggie dog (since I don't like the consistency of actual hot dogs). The mac and cheese was also seasoned with old bay seasoning to compliment the crab.
